Landon throws one grave glance at me and I know he is not in for any jokes, none whatsoever.

“I'm going to ask you for the last time, Nadia. Have you been in Vance's room before tonight?”

“Yes.” It doesn't come out with as much confidence as I wanted, but I was honest, what Landon so bloody wanted.
