We are already near home. Tyla and I had each other for safety along the way.

It's just a short walk left.

I hear ruffles among the fallen leaves on the earth. What animal could be walking around at almost midnight?

A though comes to my head, but I immediately shun it. The darkest thoughts come at the darkest hours.
