C3 Seek

Ivo's P.O.V

Apart from my grandparents, my uncle was the only one who was always with me and helped us in our business. However, our plantation and food business has grown exponentially in the past, and he is frequently still in the resto when I am away. He was also one of the rulers, but he later left for another country to build his own business and even a home for his family. So this is why I've doubled my workload because I'm the only one who handles everything.

I was entrusted with it, which is why I was chosen to be their boss in the first place.

Some of my relatives are my aunts, particularly aunt Mira, who lives in the Philippines and is now in Manila, where she is also working for her big agency. Only my mother inherited one, and I was the sole heir. He is the only son. I'm sorry, I'm not sure. My parents didn't even give me a sibling to keep me company. I let out a sigh.

They are only my father's two brothers on his father's side. One of them is an elderly young man. Many people here believe I will follow in my uncle's footsteps. It's like being a middle-aged man. But, if at all possible, I do not want to. And the other has a family of his own. So I'm curious as to why our ancestors are so few. So, my ambition is to have a large family. Isn't it a shame if it doesn't rise? Few will have such a beautiful creature as me.

Almost all of my cousins are married and have children. I was already ahead of them, as I was a few years older.

"We've been ahead of you for a while now, dude. Why are you so weak when it comes to women these days, huh?" One of my cousins was always asking me that question.

I just shook my head and chuckled. I don't have anything else to say because they are correct.

To be seen as they are, it also appears that they are impatient in finding the woman I will marry. True. Exactly like that. They are always making fun of me. This is how they always open up to me when we get together, and one by one, they settle down and marry.

"I'm just busy," is the old line I always respond with. "You have a lot of business holdings." I once unbuttoned my necktie and leaned back in my chair.

They simply shook, and each of them grumbled and teased me.

"He was always preoccupied with his flowers. Why not experiment with different types of flowers? "He said it solemnly as if he was thinking about something nefarious.

"Asshole, no thanks," I laughed, knowing what he was implying. It simply overtook me.

"Dude, I have a lot of well-known single women," he says.

I immediately shook my head and began drinking. I just sat back and let them talk.

"American, Russian, or Eastern European hot chic? That sort of thing. I know a lot of women; do you prefer foreigners? Let's talk about it! "boasting about my cousin, who hasn't married yet but does have a girlfriend, or should I say, girlfriends? Tsk.

I let out a sigh. We're at it again. It's always this way. When it comes to back-to-back conversations, I am always their target.

"That's not his type; his type is modest and grew up in a provincial like him. Provincial beauty," said another cousin next to me, a silly look on his face.

My lips lifted there because his response was spot on.

"You rarely see that these days, especially if you're not the same age you're looking for, once. Usually, the modest ones are completely nuns, so you'll have a hard time finding a modest woman now if that's really how it is. You want to be the right person to hire a single person at church first. Go to church every week, you know, right?"

"It's all right because you're very holy. Your sin in the world will be reduced as well, and you will still have an angelic girlfriend "At the same time, they teased me.

What they say makes me laugh. These are frequently useless pieces of advice. Sometimes I wonder why they seem to care so much about being single.

"Why not limit it to the ones I mentioned? They also appear modest and sexy, so it's unlikely they won't like you as well "said this one.

"No, thank you very much but I have my ways," I answered.

"I can picture them. Damn, there's a lot of hotness going on. I miss being single, but I'm no longer available." We turned to look at our newlywed cousin.

"What the fuck, dude? Be mindful of your tone of voice, as your wife may overhear you. Dirk, you'll miss your honeymoon "They are a blundering threat to our blundering cousin.

"Kidding," he said abruptly, breaking the silence. Then we laughed as we caught sight of their wives.

"Andy, when are you coming?"

They're always teasing, and they're always asking questions. When am I getting married? It's as if I, too, have a child. Do you see what I mean? They, too, are growing impatient. That's also what I want, so when I finally get married, I'll have a lot of kids. When I find a wife, I intend to have a large number of children. And I know the woman I'm about to meet is right around the corner. I'm not sure if it's just somewhere? or right in front of me.

My business and restaurant were both successful; not only was I a farmer, but I also enjoyed cooking, so I opened a restaurant. I also enjoy cooking, and the restaurant is only a short distance away from our home. The province has only just arrived, and the rest of the town appears to be finishing up our place in Casa.

I was financially and emotionally prepared to marry.

I certainly hope so. Is that correct? Nah. I'm not sure.

Grandma said 'the house is waiting for my future family.

"I just want something easy..." I responded to both Ponce and Francing. "She's a simple woman for a simple life," I explained.

I almost frowned at myself, but that was the honest truth. I'm not interested in playing games. That's all I have to say about it.

"You don't like those ---," he reasoned, flicking his finger. He thought while tapping his hand, as if he didn't want his thoughts to be heard.

"Oh, no! What do you call the women who work despite having a wife and a child?" Ponce inquired, perplexed as to what that meant.

"I'm guessing you're talking about a career woman, grandpa," I responded.

"That's it!" exclaimed Ponce. He nodded immediately in agreement with my correct answer.

"Didn't you bring anyone else hereafter —- who was your girlfriend from Manila back then?"

I let out a sigh and cleared my throat. "Roxanne," she says.

"How come she hasn't been here long?"

"That's why I'm not interested in a city girl." I let out a small chuckle and cleared my throat.

I immediately ended what I was saying because I no longer knew the proper reason for something I didn't want to discuss again.

"How come, son?" He's asking a perplexing question.

Forget that it could have happened at the time, so it inquires as to the reason. He's getting on in years, so he's prone to forgetfulness. I get tired of answering their repeated questions, so I usually just laugh.

"Because it's better if the woman I'm going to marry comes from a simple life like mine, so she doesn't have to choose between a career and the family we're going to form, and she can be a good mother to take care of our future child, just like my mother..." I explained. Grandma immediately smiled when I replied to Grandpa.

At the same time, I drank the water that Grandma had given me; it was exhausting because the sun was shining so brightly today; my body was still sweating and my skin was almost scorched by the heat, but I got used to it. So, to return to what I was saying, that's it, I like the one that looks like my mother. Take care. We only have her undivided attention. There is no other job than to serve my father and me. That is why I built a resto; the dishes my mother used to prepare in our home are the ones I prepare in my resto. Back then, my mother's dream was to open her restaurant.

She told me that when I was young, so when I started working and had money, I built it. This is also the case that I use to remember my mother. I gave her what she wanted, and in fact, I built several branches of the 'Homemade' restaurant. But after Mom left, Francing cooked for me every day. She, like my mother, enjoys cooking. Made from scratch.

Mother Francing responded, "That depends on the woman, son."

While assisting me in putting more flowers in the pot.

"I know, and I hope so," I said, smirking.

She simply smiled at me and gently tapped my head, as if I were a baby. Grandma's mannerism is always like this to me. But I just grew accustomed to it.

"You know, whether she's from the city or a career woman, if she's willing to devote her entire time to your family and can stay here for an extended period of time, there's probably no problem. You can't be sure of what you want just because we're here.

We each have different life objectives. Most of them would rather live in a noisy city than on a peaceful farm. But there are some who come from the city and want to be in a quiet place... they want peace. That's why, according to what I've heard, there are also women from here who aspire to be the career woman you describe. Maybe that's what happened to you with R-Roxanne before..." Francing's words stopped me in my tracks.

"I don't believe it's the right time, and you don't deserve it right now. I know God has a plan for why that didn't work out." She patted my back at the same time, and both she and Ponce looked at each other, stunned.

Francing sighed, and I sighed back. When I think about it, it doesn't seem as heavy to me anymore. I just don't want to think about the things that upset me so much back then.

"That's fine, Grandma! It's excessive. Just wait a minute, and I'll put flowers in the van." I changed the subject after I finished making a basket full of Tulips and Roses.

I just don't want to think about what Francing said. Even if she doesn't say it explicitly, I understand what she means. My history.

"Who is your woman who frequently brings you cake here, son?" Ponce abruptly inquired as to when I would return.

The delivery van has already left. I went back to Ponce in the hut and sat down. They were also sitting here while Francing gave me water again and I drank it, the weather is hot now and I'm tired from assisting Ponce in the farm. My clothes quickly became filthy, filled with dust and mud.

"Ah, are you talking about Vada?"

"That's it! Ponce, that's her! Isn't she frequently here on purpose? Despite the fact that she has a job, she frequently visits this location, as well as the flower shop and restaurant. When it comes to courting, she is even better. That's something she's always done. She is en route with a cake. I have a strong feeling she likes you as well, hijo!" Francing exclaimed enthusiastically to Ponce.

I frequently visit Vada. Even when I'm not in the shop, she's often here hut and helping out, and she frequently sends snacks. And I had no idea Vada liked me.

We're just buddies.

It's just that most people are treated with malice by those who aren't inquisitive. Immediately, they name what they believe they see. When a woman and a man are usually together, and frequently meet, they are immediately given malice, and sometimes they don't believe they are just friends.

Worse, will they even think you're in a relationship and ask when the wedding is?

"That girl is obvious. If our grandson hasn't noticed it yet, he may be numb or blind. Please make her your wife! In our Casa Puente, she is still the Mayor's daughter!" Ponce stated.

Ponce appeared to be teasing me when he said that. I sighed and chuckled. All they really do is spread venom. I just couldn't keep quiet and let them tell me what they wanted to tell me.

I only laugh when I hear in their voices the impatient desire to truly betray me. I want to... but I can't, eh. I'm not sure, I'm not looking for anything, I'm not waiting for anything, but there's a big hole in my heart that can't be filled, and I can't relax. I'm not sure why.

"If she doesn't like you, she won't come to you. Vada is lovely and appears to be gentle. She also knows how to run a business. You both grew up here, and I believe she still doesn't have a serious boyfriend, and I believe she is waiting for you. Maybe that girl is finally ready to marry now. Why don't you approach her?" Ponce smiled at me, and I simply shook my head.

"Wow! You are, in fact, Ponce! Everyone in our office knows you want to reconcile right away! Let Andy choose the woman he desires!" Ponce turned to her, laughing, and Francing replied.

"We won't force you on anyone, you know. It's preferable if you truly adore the woman. It's not because she possesses all of the characteristics you seek in a woman. What your heart hears and says is still preferable."She once gave me small a smile.

While listening to what was said about Francing and Ponce, I couldn't help but smile.
