C11 Reasons

Hee Yanchen picked up the glass and drank a mouthful of water. After hearing her words, his gaze casually glanced at a resignation letter on the desk.

Chu Zui saw that there was a coffee room outside his office. He had a lot of assistants and secretaries, so it would be easy for him to make coffee, but she never thought that after so many years, he would still have the habit of drinking a glass of water every morning for ten years.

"You want to resign?" He put down the cup of water and walked around the desk to sit down. His long fingers clearly defined the joints in his body. He threw the resignation letter in front of him and raised his head to look at her figure standing in front of him.

"Yes, I want to resign!"

Hee Yanchen was speechless. He leaned back in his chair and stared at her with eyes as deep as Obsidian: "Reason?"

Chu Zui was slightly disgusted by his cold gaze. She didn't know if it was because the words she said to him back then were too heartless, so she felt a little guilty, or if it was because she had never been this nervous when she spoke to him.

"What reasons do I need to resign? I have to change my job. The report says it so clearly, do I need to explain it to you? "

Hee Yanchen smiled. His dull eyes carried a meaningful smile. His fingertip picked up the resignation letter and with a "siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii", he was torn into two halves.

"What do you mean?" Chu Zui was finally angry, she walked up and slammed her hands on the desk in front of him, her bright and clear eyes stared straight into his cold and proud eyes: "Hee Yanchen, I advise you to immediately let me leave the Shang's, since you have the ability to sit in this position, you should know what it means to differentiate between public and private, you don't have to bully others like that!"

The man in front of her had a cold sneer on his face as he casually threw the two pieces of paper into the trash can. Chu Zui looked as if she wanted to devour him as she sneered, "Then Miss Chu, can you please tell me, are you a private or a public person to me?"

"…" Chu Zui was momentarily at a loss for words.

"I'm actually very curious, why would you, the precious daughter of the Chu's group, come to my Shang's?" He looked at her, his gaze calm and distant, with a sense of oppression.

"I …"

Chu Zui gritted her teeth. She would never have guessed that she had broken off all ties with her family, and furthermore, that she was now so poor that she had to delay the rent. How could she still be the Chu Zui who had been so high and mighty in front of him?

She took a few deep breaths and suppressed her raging anger. Then, she turned her head to look at the report in the trash can. She restrained herself and said, "Forget it, I'll just write another one!"

With that, she turned around and was about to leave. She didn't know whether it was because the office door was too tightly shut and the pressure was too low, but she felt that it was really, really difficult to stand here and breathe under Hee Yanchen's gaze!

Hee Yanchen looked at the wound on her arm that was starting to heal. His eyes were calm and cold.

"A top student who graduated from Exeter's Finance Department and only wants you to be an administrative manager, that's indeed a waste." Chu Zui's footsteps were stopped by the sound coming from behind her, one word at a time.

She turned around and stared at Hee Yanchen in confusion: "What do you mean?"

Hee Yanchen just smiled and didn't say anything. His indifferent eyes were calm and distant. This wasn't the Hee Yanchen that Chu Zui knew, but he seemed to be the same person, always planning, always with unpredictable depths.
