C20 The Anchor Was Being Made a Fool Of!

Soong Yang pointed to one of the villas and inquired about the price. Upon learning it was twenty million, he nonchalantly instructed Zhang Ziqing to foot the bill.

He had money to burn and wasn't fazed by the expense.

The salesperson was astounded; Soong Yang was the wealthiest and most decisive client she'd ever encountered!

"Zhang Ziqing, this house is yours," Soong Yang declared, casually slipping his hand into his pocket.

"What?"

Zhang Ziqing was dumbfounded, overwhelmed by the unexpected gift.

Hesitantly, she asked, "Boss, you're not serious, are you?"

"No joke. My assistant deserves better than shabby. This villa will be your home. We'll transfer it to your name shortly," Soong Yang stated with composure.

Hearing the confirmation, Zhang Ziqing was ecstatic. With a quivering voice, she exclaimed, "Boss, I'll be loyally by your side forever!"

Rann Lianyi smiled, though her heart was mixed with emotions.

Soong Yang's gaze shifted to another villa, pondering.

"I want this villa too. I'll add five million to the price. It's mine!" A young man, cigarette dangling from his lips, swaggered over.

Dressed in a designer suit, flanked by a posse of four or five, his arrogance was palpable.

"Sir, you're putting me in a tough spot," the salesperson said, trying to defuse the situation.

"I'm set on it. I, Liu Chixiang, am not short on cash. This amount is trivial to me," the young man retorted, eyeing Soong Yang with scorn.

He had noticed Zhang Ziqing and Rann Lianyi earlier.

Such beautiful women should be with a gentleman of his stature, not trailing behind some unknown youngster—it irked him.

Soong Yang's brow creased ever so slightly.

"You're out of line," Zhang Ziqing snapped. "My boss settled on the price first. You're just causing a scene!"

Liu Chixiang sneered, "I'm stirring things up on purpose. What are you going to do about it?"

Standing close to Soong Yang, Rann Lianyi spoke up when he remained silent, "Sir, our boss has purchased this house. Continue this disruption, and I won't hesitate to call the police."

Her tone was courteous, yet her message cut through sharply.

Liu Chixiang wore a look of indifference as he said, "Little girl, you've got a way with words. But I've got the money, and I'm going to buy it. What can you do about it?"

His arrogance infuriated both Rann Lianyi and Zhang Ziqing.

"He's way too cocky!"

"Anchor, you need to hit back now. Show him what you're made of."

"I'm not sure that's a good idea. He looks loaded. The anchor probably can't outspend him."

"Then just take him down!"

"Didn't you notice his bodyguard?"

"The anchor's got a real problem on his hands. He's being challenged!"

"I'm dying to see what happens next. I can hardly wait!"

"Give it to him, anchor, don't back down!"

Caught between a rock and a hard place, the salesperson glanced at Soong Yang, her emotions tangled.

If Liu Chixiang paid an extra five million for the house, she'd earn a commission of over a hundred thousand dollars!

Rann Lianyi observed Soong Yang, uncertain of how he would handle the situation.

She harbored a notion, and now was the moment of truth.

Zhang Ziqing felt the urgency too, but words weren't her forte. All she could do was fret over Soong Yang's predicament.

Liu Chixiang smirked at Soong Yang, convinced he had the upper hand.

As the heir to the Entertainment Dynasty's CEO, he had formidable connections in Jinling—his uncle was a heavyweight in the underworld.

At his cue, his entourage began to whistle.

Then, Soong Yang stepped up to Liu Chixiang.

Liu Chixiang moved forward with pride, but he was shorter than Soong Yang and had to look up to meet his gaze.
