C2 You Are That Shameless Su Kexin?

The man's identity was a mystery, but as he entered the restaurant, the eager maître d' rushed to greet him. He intended to assist with the wheelchair, yet the man merely raised his hand slightly, signaling him to stop.

With an icy demeanor and an air of innate aloofness, the man commanded the room without uttering a word. His formidable presence left the usually sycophantic maître d' and waitstaff feeling unsure of themselves.

Unconcerned with their bewildered reactions, the man simply maneuvered his wheelchair, gliding smoothly into the restaurant.

"Miss Su, you're from Z University's journalism department?" Feng Zheng's sudden question snapped Su Kexin out of her reverie, as she had been observing the enigmatic man.

"Ah?" Su Kexin paused, then realized, "Yes, that's right."

"Journalism... 26 years old, huh? So, you must have been in the same class as my ex-girlfriend?" Feng Zheng's surprise was evident, as if he'd stumbled upon a revelation.

Su Kexin's brow furrowed. Was it really appropriate to bring up an ex on a blind date?

Before she could voice her thoughts, Feng Zheng's following remark subtly shifted her expression.

"Hold on, Su Kexin from Z University's journalism department... Why does that name sound familiar? I think my ex mentioned you before."

Under the table, Su Kexin's grip on her skirt tightened, her knuckles whitening.

"Yes, she did mention you," Feng Zheng, oblivious to Su Kexin's discomfort, mused aloud. Then, a sudden realization hit him, his expression freezing as he glared at Su Kexin. "I remember now! You're Su Kexin! The infamous Su Kexin from Z University!"

Su Kexin's complexion grew paler, but she strove for composure, speaking softly, "Mr. Feng, I'm not sure what you've been told, but it's all a misunderstanding—"

"Misunderstanding?" Feng Zheng's face twisted with revulsion. "My ex told me all about your sordid affairs! Damn this matchmaking service! Pairing me with someone as unclean as you for a blind date!"

Feng Zheng's voice grew louder, drawing the attention of patrons at nearby tables. Su Kexin clenched her lips, a mix of shame and anger washing over her.

She longed to argue back, but the incident from five years ago clung to her like an indelible stain, leaving her defenseless.

"Check, please!" Feng Zheng barked, eager to part ways with Su Kexin. The waiter promptly presented the bill. Without a glance, Feng Zheng yanked a voucher from his bag and tossed it at the waiter. "Use this meal coupon to settle the bill!"

It was only when she saw the crumpled coupon that Su Kexin realized why she was "fortunate" enough to dine at such an upscale restaurant—it was all thanks to Feng Zheng's coupon.

"I'm sorry, sir," the waiter said, examining the coupon with a look of discomfort. "This coupon has expired."

"What!" Feng Zheng's face soured as he grabbed the coupon for a closer look, his expression darkening further.

"Um, sir, would you mind paying in cash?" the waiter inquired tentatively.

"Pay?" Feng Zheng shot up, his face contorted with indignation. "Why should I pay for a meal with this filthy woman? Hey, Miss Su, you seemed to have eaten more than I did. You pay!"

Without giving Su Kexin a chance to respond, Feng Zheng snatched his coat from the chair and stormed out of the restaurant.

"Um, Miss?" The waiter, left in the wake of Feng Zheng's swift exit, turned to Su Kexin with a look of concern.

"It's okay," Su Kexin said, her voice steady. "I'll take care of the bill. How much is it?"

Relieved, the waiter replied, "The total comes to 5,200 yuan."

"What?" Su Kexin's composure shattered at the sum.
