C7 She Should be Called a Young Girl When She Was 20!

Nathan remained unmoved by the girl's mockery. He didn't even bother to reply to her.

Rosie was bored of talking to herself, but she felt a lot better when she thought that he was just embarrassed and didn't want to talk to her.

After getting off the highway, the destination of the car became clearer. Rosie frowned slightly. This was not the way back to the Harrisington family.

She wanted to ask the man beside her, but he had his eyes closed. It was unknown whether he was asleep or not, so she pretended to ignore him.

After about ten minutes, she knew where he was going even if she didn't ask.

At the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Maybe it was a coincidence, or fate, but the driver had just stopped the car when he saw a pair of happy figures not far away.

Warren and Rachel walked out of the hall intimately. They held each other's hands tightly. Although they were no longer young, they still looked very sweet.

Rosie clenched her fists. Hatred appeared in her eyes. She knew that it was one thing, but seeing it with her own eyes was another.

They were celebrating their marriage with their mother on their wedding day. Her nails were in her palms. She almost couldn't hold it in anymore. She reached out to open the door.

The moment she moved, the man beside her grabbed her wrist.

She turned her head angrily. "What are you doing?"

"What do you want?" There was an unfathomable look in the man's deep eyes.

Rosie clenched her teeth and glared at him like a furious little beast. "I don't care what I do!"

"So you even want your mother's ashes?"

The man said indifferently.

She was stunned.

Her emotions slowly calmed down.

Yes, if she rushed out now, even if she scolded this heartless man, what could she do?

Other than letting Warren catch her and take away her mother's ashes so that all her efforts would be in vain, there was nothing else that could prove anything.

A warm touch came from her wrist. It was his hand. It was long and beautiful, warm and dry, as if it could stabilize people's hearts.

She looked up and saw the complicated expression on Nathan's face.

A mature and unfathomable man would never reveal his emotions unless he was really unable to control himself.

Rosie lifted her lips and ridiculed, "If you really like him so much, you should have stopped them before they got married. With your status as a dignified man, it would be too easy for you to threaten my dad. Now that she has already married my dad, what are you waiting for? What are you acting for?"

He retracted his gaze. The two people had already left the car.

Nathan's gaze fell on the little cat in front of him. A trace of confusion flashed across his eyes. She just said that he was... deep in love?

"What are you looking at me for? Did I say something wrong?"

"Isn't it embarrassing for a young lady to be in love all day long?"

When he looked at her, he was focused and serious, as if he was sizing her up. However, there was an indescribable sense of ambiguity in his gaze.

At least, that was what she thought.

Rosie blushed. "You... you don't know how to be shy. Besides, I'm already twenty years old. What young lady?"

"If you're not a young lady at twenty years old, then what are you?" She blushed just because of one sentence, and she even said that she was not a child.

Rosie hated being treated like a child, so she sat up straight and purposely puffed out her chest. "You're a young lady at twenty years old."

A young lady was not the same as a young girl.

Nathan was speechless.

His eyes moved up and down. After a few seconds, he suddenly woke up and retracted his gaze.

What was he thinking?

What was he doing?

For some reason, his palm felt a tingling sensation.
