Lyi Yueyi's eyes were bloodshot, and her nose was smudged red. Her hands were gripping the ends of her shirt. She appeared delicate and pitiful to any wandering gaze.

"Xi, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it out loud—I...I'm really sorry."

Lyi Chuxi stared at the smug look in her eyes, speechless.

No wonder she had been deceived by her in the past. It always appeared as if this woman was two steps ahead of her.

Lyi Yueyi's superb acting skills could've gained her a grammy.

"It's alright," Lyi Chuxi said lightly. "Besides, you were telling the truth. I really wasn't the true daughter of the Lyi Family, to begin with, and it's an accident. What are you crying for? If others have seen you, they'll think I bullied you."

Lyi Yueyi was stunned.

That was actually her plan.

If others were to see Lyi Chuxi "bullying her", it would be another opportunity for her to gain their sympathy. Plus, it would discredit Chuxi's image even more.

She saw Lyi Yueyi from the corner of her eye and quickly pulled her over.

"This is the evidence!" Mo Lili snapped. "If you haven't bullied her, why would she cry like this? Do you think she'd look like this if you treated her nicely?"

Mo Lili quickly turned her around, clutching her shoulders.

"Miss Lyi, don't be afraid. You're the true daughter of the Lyi Family. Don't be threatened by this imposter!"

"Miss Mo, you've misunderstood. Xi didn't bully me..."

Although she said this, she glanced carefully at Lyi Chuxi as if she had intended to say otherwise.

"Miss Lyi, you're far too kind," Mo Lili defended. "You've been bullied to this extent, and you still want to speak up for her? Don't be afraid of this imposter! I'll handle her for you."

Lyi Chuxi suppressed the urge to roll her eyes.
