As soon as the train arrived to its destination, Robert walked out of the Drapus station.

There was someone waiting for him at the station. It was none other than Mary who was wearing a white dress and she had a beautiful face. Once she saw him, she immediately welcomed him with a smile.

Robert looked at her delicate and beautiful appearance. At the sight of her, the corner of his mouth rose coldly. He murmured to himself, 'Drapus, here I come!"

''Robert, you must be tired after a long ride, right?"

Mary walked up to him with a sweet smile on her face.

Hearing her question, Robert said indifferently, "I am not tired."

At that moment, Robert heard another woman's mocking voice, "Mary, is that your fiancé? He looks very ordinary."

As soon as he heard her voice, Robert looked up and saw a woman who was dressed in the designer brand clothes and she was standing beside Mary. She was the one who mocked him just now.

Once he saw the familiar face, Robert's eyes immediately narrowed as he recalled the identity of this woman.

She was Mary's best friend, Eva, who was the second Miss of the Keith family.

She had mocked and humiliated him so many times back then that this woman was fully responsible for his miserable state at that time.

The most hateful thing about her was that she had always helped her brother, Leo, in pursuing Mary. Leo was his greatest enemy in his previous life!

In Eva 's eyes, she thought that Mary and her brother were the ones who could be considered as a match made in heaven.

However, as the Ward family and Wagner family were close friends, the family heads of both sides had already made an engagement for them long time ago.

That was the reason why she had treated Robert very badly. The moment she showed up in front of Robert, she humiliated him, "Hey, you are Robert, right? Do you think you can be a perfect match for sister Mary? The gentlemen who favored him could line up from here all the way to the Infernal Rill. Look at you! She couldn't help but frown and said in a low voice, "Robert, today is the day the engagement banquet would be held. Can't you dress a bit more formal than this?"

Robert didn't say anything back which made Mary even angrier than she already was. Then, she continued to scold him, "Why are you always wearing cheap clothes? How poor is your family that you can't even buy a proper suit? Don't you know that your appearance will make me lose my face?"

However, Robert did not care about them or their opinions. In fact, he even had a designer suit in his luggage which his father had brought to him just before he got onto the rail. He even repeatedly reminded him to put it on before he got off.

In his previous life, he changed into his designer clothes and came to meet Mary enthusiastically. Nonetheless, he was still humiliated by Leo and the others at the engagement banquet.

Therefore, he decided that he was not going to give those people any face at all. He calmly walked in front of Mary and said, "This is enough. Let's go."

"What?" Mary's eyes widened.

In her eyes, Robert had always been following her ever since he was young. He had always been very gentle whenever he talked to her, never raising his voice, let alone acting cold towards her.

"How dare you talk to me like that?!" Mary felt her blood boil with anger. At the same time, she felt that Robert was acting different than usual.

Robert asked her back, "Are you still going? Or are we going to get engaged at the train station?"

Hearing his words, Mary clenched her fists in anger. At that moment, a male voice sounded from behind, ''Sorry. I'm late.''

Once Eva heard that voice, her eyes suddenly brightened up. She rushed to the man's side and hugged his arm, speaking in a sweet voice, "Brother Feng, why are you late?"

Robert took a glance at the man and immediately recognized him.

His name was Edward. He was not only Eva's boyfriend but also a good friend of Leo.

When Edward heard Eva 's question, he answered with a smug look on his face, "I thought my car was a little old. So, I went to buy a Mercedes-Benz S65-AMG and was delayed for a while."

"Oh my god! That's an expensive luxury car that is worth two to three million!'' Eva exclaimed loudly. She then glanced at Robert and said with a sneer, "Some people can't even afford to buy four wheels of that car in their lifetime, right?"

She wanted to see Robert's eyes filled with envy and hate. However, Robert's expression was as calm as that of a dead lake. Seeing his cold look, Eva could not help but feel dissatisfied in her heart.

Nonetheless, her actions and expression didn't go unnoticed by Edward.

He whispered something to Eva and walked up to Robert with a fake smile on his face. He reached out his hand to him and said with a smirk, ''You are Mary 's boyfriend, right? I am Edward, the head of the Grotto Limited's personnel department. I wonder where do you work?"

In fact, he wanted to show off his position in front of this man and let his girlfriend vent her anger by humiliating Robert. However, Robert didn't even look at him and stood there calmly with no intention of shaking hands.

The atmosphere became awkward as Robert wasn't even giving his attention to Edward whose hand was still hanging in midair. Mary decided to ease the tension as she said, "Robert, Edward wants to shake his hands with you."

Robert pretended to ask nonchalantly, ''Why does he want to shake hands with me?"

After that, Robert turned his head towards Edward and took a glance at him before asking Mary in a cold voice once again, "Do I even know him?"
