C2 The new roomie
Hazel
I really didn’t regret moving in with a medical student. She was friendly and kind. My day ran smoothly and perfectly.
After a long day I was finally lying on my bed and thinking about the days event. Dafne wasn’t home when I arrived but the maid was here, and she was weird she looked at me as if I was a ghost. I wanted to ask her for help with moving my stuff but then I changed my happy thought and started the work myself. Soon the maid was gone and Dafne joined me presenting me a small gift of relief.
I never wish for a comfortable space to move around once my things are arranged because I usually have too much with me but this time, I was wrong the room was big with huge shelf and it would be possible for me to perform wild dance around if I wished to.
With all these happy thoughts creating traffic in my mind I drifted off to dream land.
I guess I was dreaming even though it felt almost real, but I was sure it was night and the place I was standing was sparkling with warm fresh daylight. I didn’t recognize the place, but it was peaceful. I was standing in the middle of a huge hall painted fresh white. The roof top was made of glass and there were four large glass windows on four directions which allowed the prefect amount of sunlight to enter inside making the ambience stronger and more peaceful.
I heard a small but stern voice when I was completely engrossed in observing the surrounding “who are you and what’s in your hand?”. I was myself surprised when I found a small shiny red stone grasped tightly in my hold.
Turning around, still looking at the stone I tried to find the source of sound, but the stone was so mesmerizing, I just couldn’t allow my eyes to get parted as if I was staring at my crush and he stared back not wanting to break the contact but forcing to behave instead of looking stupid we finally look elsewhere.
As soon as I raised my head away from the stone, I was welcomed by a lady with one eye sparkling deep blue like the ocean and other orange just the shade of blazing fire. Her body was the mixed shade of blue and orange, but it felt as if the colors were trying to blaze out of her body and at the same time danced like the reflection of flowing water.
I couldn’t take much of the site ahead of me because while I was busy observing her beautiful skin the colors had vanished but surprised punched me harder when I looked at the fading color of eyes and came face to face with the fact that I was standing in front of the mirror.
My mind was playing games. If on one hand I knew that mirror only reflects what it sees then that means the beautiful girl I saw was me, when the colors of her skin disappeared, I could clearly see myself standing out bold and strong, but my actual expressions should have been different. I was afraid and confused.
My head started hurting, closing my eyes, and placing a hand on my head as the pain became more and more unbearable, I fell on my knees and that’s all I remembered before I totally blacked out.
