C8 From the void: Chapter Eight

Meanwhile, the darkness was full of hysterical rage–for this small light entity was not retreating. Mohai was truly the definition of resolve.

The multi colored light entity continued forward with blinding speed, folding into a blur of fiery light pulsing with all of his companions aura, invading Abraxus’s interior part, forcing his way through every dark particle, all the while, his red core becoming stained with black as he forged deeper, the darkness becoming more overpowering every moment. Trails of liquid crimson light were oozing from his outer core, his entire form dripping with fiery-red heat and energy. With every drop of energy, Mōhai’s entire form shrank as if he was melting away. His structure strained from the excruciating sensation, but he plunged ever further just drilling himself inside the dense dark shield surrounding Abraxus’s consciousness, his light dimming now amidst the dark void.

Mōhai focused back towards his companions, hoping to sense their aura, but Abraxus’s layers kept closing in on him, plunging Mōhai into despair. He was truly one last light amidst a world of evil, where he feared that further aid was impossible to reach him.

Coldness rushed over Mōhai’s form as his Outer core submerged within the murky darkness. As he dwelled deeper into the crucifying shadows, horrifying sensations washed over him, feelings of pain and suffering, helplessness, and grief. All the horrid emotions that Abraxus felt were being imposed upon Mohai. His very essence was being drawn out of him, all the light and hope leaving his form, and Mōhai struggled to maintain only one thought in his mind: The Infinite One. He concentrated only on His love as the darkness buried him, only on His mercy as the layers of smoke covered him one by one, and at last, when it had settled over him completely, Mōhai remembered His compassion. He remembered, and he was now certain that existence itself deserves not the darkness, but the light.

With a final push Mohai felt the space around him change and Abraxus felt a ripple of genuine fear throughout his consciousness; There Mohai was, in front of the shielded dark core, and Mōhai could hear its terrible hisses. The space around him was chill and fearful as these sounds emitted a gripping sense of doom.

Here Mohai began to doubt their efforts, for how could such a behemoth be destroyed? Even if only a speck somehow remained, with time, it would be sure to revitalize its strength.

But this crimson spectral being was different and as soon as he felt hopelessness from out beyond this light entity was re-enlightened, and Mohai flashed for a quantum second with a euphoric aura suppressing the plaguing thoughts of the darkness. “What if I do not need to destroy Abraxsus, but merely keep it in constant check and control its ability to spread?”

Mohai had experienced Abraxus’s true inner self of pure suffering and let out a faint aura of satisfaction. “Better it’s me that faces all the evil, rather than the others,” he thought, ”My energons are the purest of all lights! I will keep this darkness under my attractive forces for as long as I can!”

Mohai internally vowed to fulfill his plan no matter the outcome. He could feel Abraxus stirring violently all over showing its discontent and hatred towards him. The unwavering Mohai immediately summoned a column of light, one that seemed to be derived from his now thin outer astronomical core, and shot it towards Abraxus’s consciousness, where it slammed into the outer hardened barrier with a resounding boom.

Mōhai followed his blast of light and pierced his pillars of red light directly into this dark, impenetrable core, causing light and dark to merge, forcing the contradicting energies to integrate. A blast of white energy shot through the core, breaking it with an unnerving crack, and Mōhai seeped through the space ignoring the howling deafening scream of Abraxus disbelievement and also the damaging effect of this impact on his own pure form. The interior of Abraxus’s form had been deathly cold, but as Mōhai’s energy infiltrated the core, it began to heat up. Now, Mōhai could feel his particulate energons vaporizing at an exponential rate, realizing that he only had a few moments to exist in this isolated chasm.

From his inner core, Mohai gathered all the energy the entities had given him. His silver core was now exposed to darkness, for his exterior crimson pillars had crumbled on entry. Offering a final homage to his companions’ starlight, prismatic core, he released it from his inner form and watched as it latched onto the deepest center of Abraxus: the very origin of the darkness, the first speck. The energy seemed to clutch onto the dark core like a vice, filling the darkness’s shadows and infusing its very nature with nothing but warmth and light.

“You see, Abraxus,” Mōhai whispered, struggling through the dark tendrils encapsulating him. “Everlasting victory comes with selflessness, not pride.”

And Mohai finally stopped resisting and let go all from within.

“Mohai!” Yuham cried, watching as Abraxus began to ripple with light. Avar and Zaki fell back, withdrawing far, far away from the darkness just as pockets of light appeared all throughout Abraxus’s form, growing larger and larger and pulsing with more vibrating energy before erupting into a booming, deafening explosion. The entities turned away, and despite the enormous distance between them and the central origin of where Mōhai had vanished, they still felt the ripples of intense heat that warmed the entire debris filled space.

It only lasted a quantum second: an enormous burst of energy exploded from the battlefield, spanning across and collecting all the residue from the seemingly unending battle, before it abruptly converged at its center and a quantile later, an original, super-inflated, resounding bang split the dimension itself, spreading the converged debris all around, across infinite distances.

When the entities turned towards the realm, every trace of Abraxus’s solidified particles had vanished–it was the death of the violent darkness, and they hovered in awe at what lay before them.

The cosmos had changed: it was so much larger than it had used to be, as if hundreds of astronomical realms had been tangled together to form a new universe, free from the whispers of evil that had seized it all those millennia ago. This cataclysmic, fiery burst of energy had scattered the seemingly endless night into a seperate harmless background and in its place lay a mysterious new universe.

A universe churned with the residue of the battle, combined with mixtures of stars colored from the deepest velvets to the most lustrous of golds, swirling amidst the looming space and illuminating amorphous clusters of glittering galaxies. Trails of wispy, dreamlike substances floated throughout the universe, shimmering with an otherworldly sort of light that rippled with alternating shades of cerulean and platinum. Spinning comets of luster arced across the galaxy, leaving a blazing trail of luminescence in their wake, and throughout it all, the overwhelming heat still pulsed relentlessly, drenching the substances in an explosion of color and shine. The entire realm had been thrust into an immaculate state of dreamlike chaos. It was as if the darkness had been imprisoned within the confines of the singular light.

”Where is Mōhai?” Zaki asked urgently, breaking the silence.

Yuham said nothing; he knew of Mōhai’s chosen fate but he was too full of grief to answer.

“We must find him,” Zaki said uneasily, and shot forward towards what had once been the battlefield. His movements were erratic and restless as he searched everywhere, first within the space Abraxus used to occupy and then its surroundings.

“Tell them, Yuham,” Nysa murmured, her voice wracked with grief. She, too, had knowledge of everything.

“I’m afraid Mōhai’s aura has been overcome by the shadows,“ Avar said gravely, “but I can still sense his essence spread minutely across the universe.”

“Look,” Zaki cried, and turned towards a small speck of light, almost invisible, but it was there nonetheless. It was no bigger than a light speck, glowing with blazes of scarlet and crimson.

“Mōhai,” whispered Zaki, and the four entities huddled around the speck silently. Their lights dimmed weakly, allowing their grief and sorrow to speak for them as they mourned their beloved companion: the one who had displayed such courage and love that he had not hesitated to sacrifice himself for them all, and for the Infinite One.

From this scene of lamentation, a defeated yet revengeful, almost inaudible hiss seemed to pass by;

”This is not my end…. Abr.. a… x…”

In response to this last sinister whisper, a reverberating boom echoed with a divine aura.

“I… am the beginning, and the end…”

This invisible, divine phenomena was so overwhelming that it swept through the entirety of this new existence, all the while invoking seven huge, consecutive explosions, signaling the echoes of victory over this peril that had been rife with nothing but uncertainty across this new universe. With each explosion, this tangled universe seemed to rearrange itself, forming order, from chaos.

Despite the waves of grief, these battle-ridden primordial light signatures swirled and swayed along with this magnificent reformation, bearing the knowledge that with the sacrifice of Mōhai came the birth of a new universe.
