She thought Ye Nanxuan would agree to he request. She did not expect him to say, while casually brushing dust off his coat, "No need. I can take care of Ye Rui by myself. Also, you're not a company employee, so it won't be appropriate that you go."

"There won't be anyone working in the office. It's the weekend."

Chu Mengxi was unwilling to accept his refusal.

She too was always ready to go to Hengyu Group, but Ye Nanxuan usually did not let her in to avoid suspicion. Shen Ziang was already there when they arrived at the kindergarten gate.

Ye Rui opened the car door and ran up to him.

"Ziang! Hurry up and come, Daddy is taking us to visit the company today."

When he saw Ye Nanxuan get out of the car and heard Ye Rui calling him 'Daddy' sweetly, Shen Ziang's heart twisted. It left a bitter taste in his mouth.

He stepped forward and looked at Shen Ziang coolly. He did not say anything, but his body was clearly tense.

Ye Nanxuan secretly admired the courage of the little boy.

"You're Ye Rui's classmate?"

"Yes, my name is Shen Ziang. I just joined Ye Rui's class."

Shen Ziang was very polite and well spoken. Compared to Ye Rui, he did not seem as if he was of the same age. The child seemed precocious.

Ye Nanxuan was curious about who his parents were. Thinking of it, it was laughable that the kid had a hand behind making that video go viral. It was probably an enemy of his who had taken advantage of the opportunity.

Ye Nanxuan let him in the car, but suddenly a thought flashed in his mind.

"Volunteer?"

"Are your parents coming with you?"

"No, I will go alone. I've already spoken to the Dean. Could you please take me to the orphanage in Fort St. De? Thank you."
