“What’s wrong?” Gina stepped behind Teri who’d been standing at the window, looking out absent-mindedly for quite a while now.

“What? Oh, nothing.” Teri turned her head for a moment. “Today is the anniversary of my parents’ death.”

“Oh.” Apparently Gina didn’t know what to say. “They died on Christmas?”

“It was their first vacation, the first vacation in their life,” Teri said
