"What's the matter?" He asks him.

"I'm curious sir. Is this some kinda organ donor center?" Jacob asks, not knowing what to make of the place.

"You could call it that" the doctor replies with a shrug as they keep walking through the corridor made by the rows of beds on each side. Jacob observes the patients lying unconscious in a coma-like state with IV drips in their arms.

"I didn't know we had so many patients in a vegetative state," he says, "How come they aren't registered?" He asks.

"Well, let's just say we make useless people into useful ones" Dr. Richard replies, "We take a meager number of people off the streets and make them more useful. This way they get to save lives too. Isn't that wonderful? They do exactly what we do. They're honorary doctors" he explains.

Jacob was horrified. He had never felt the level of shock that he was feeling at this point.

"You mean these people were abducted by you and you're selling their organs?" He asks with shock evident on his face.

"Listen, Jacob, you're a smart guy," Dr Richard says as he places his hand on Jacob's shoulder, "This is a billion-dollar Medical firm. You certainly don't think we run this place with the meager sums we allow the masses to pay. This right here is where the real business is. We provide these organs to save lives. It's just as honorable as any other branch of this company" he explains.

"You call killing one person to save another honorable?" Jacob asks as his fists clench tightly in anger.

"Well yes, if you look at it objectively," he says with a nod, "Sacrificing your life for the greater good of humanity is the highest form of honor. And I've given these poor people a chance to partake of such honor. Will you join me to save lives? We can't let the sacrifices of these innocent people go to waste" he explains with an air of dignity.

"This is crazy," Jacob says, "Please stop this now or else I'll have no other choice than to report this to the cops"

"Go ahead then. Do it" Dr Richard responds, totally unfazed by the threat as he turns around and continues walking through the place. Jacob at this point is shocked out of his wits!

"He doesn't even care?" He thinks as he turns around and runs out of the place.

Jacob arrives home from the hospital. He rushes to his room, and leaving the door open, picks up a couple of files. While he glances through them, his wife Emily walks into the room. She can see him frantically muttering to himself as he hurriedly searches through the files.

"You're home already?" She asks startling the life out of Jacob, who turns around instinctively on reflex.

"Pheew! You got me scared there for a moment" he says as he places his hand on his chest and pants a bit.

"Hey listen up babe, I've got something important to tell you," he says to her as he dashes across the room to her and places his hands on her shoulders.

"What's the matter? Are you alright? Should I get you something to drink? You don't look so we'll" she says as he leads her to the bed and takes a sit with her.

"Don't be too shocked, okay?" He says as he takes a deep breath, "Your dad....*sighs*..... Your dad sells human organs"

She looks at him with her eyebrows arched upwards in confusion.

"It's a hospital, remember?" She says.

"No no I mean he kidnaps innocent people and sells their organs without their consent. That's murder!" He yells, "Don't be shocked, okay? But I plan to report him to the cops immediately. I can't let him continue to do this" he says

She stares at him for a second or two and then laughs. She laughs!

"What's so funny?" Jacob thinks as he stares at her, perplexed.

"You're such a naive fool," she says, much to his shock, "How do you think a hospital that big makes its money?" She asks.

"Emily?..."

"You wanna tell the cops? Go ahead then" she says with a smile as she walks out of the room. What in the world is going on? Emily too?

Jacob realizing that she's in on it too, decides to run away from the house and get to the police station as soon as possible. This madness has to end! He picks up his stuff and heads out.

Will he be able to stop them?

"Vroom!" Jacob's engine growls as it speeds across the road. His mind can't help but wonder at the sudden change in Emily's character. Why Emily? Was she like that all along? As he drives, he turns up the volume of the radio. A cool relaxing Rn'B song begins to play, saturating the car and relaxing him.

While driving, he soon observes a crowd congregating around a huge skyscraper with huge LED screens on it. Curious as to what's going on, he parks his car and gets out of it. As he crosses the rather busy road and approaches the crowd, he hears murmurs and chattering along with a male news anchor's voice in the mix. He makes his way through the crowd and gets to the front where he sees an Asian American news anchor delivering breaking news.

"...........crimes. The police released a statement this morning and he is now on the wanted list on charges of the mass murder of civilians for organ harvesting. The 28-year-old, Dr Jacob Smith, is now on the run, and members of the public are advised to reach out to the cops if spotted........"

Jacob couldn't believe his ears, his eyes. His face was right there, on the huge screen!

"How......me? How am I....?" He thinks in shock as he stares as his picture on the screen.

Realizing the danger he's in, he makes his way through the crowd and with his head bent, he walks over to his car and gets in. His heart is thumping heavily. It almost feels like his chest might burst open at any second.
