C1 The last minute
I was excited to get out of our house, having my own dorm room and going to college. I was still not sure of what I wanted to do. When I was in middle school, what I wanted was to be a fashion designer but when I saw a flight attendant’s benefit; going around the world, that was when I thought I’ll try being one.
Me and my friends wanted to stay together until college so it was hard to look for a university that caters both our courses. They wanted to write, I wanted to fly!
I woke up to my third alarm, knowing this I quickly got up and went to shower. I have a bad habit of snoozing all of my alarms, or sometimes I don’t hear it anymore. It only took 10 minutes for me to shower, brush and put my fitted black jeans and navy blue button up blouse.
“Hey, we’re going to be late!” Samantha shouted outside my door. I quickly grabbed my sea-green back pack, inserted folders and things that are necessary for the entrance exam.
“I’m coming!” I yell back, grabbing my car keys and swinging my bed room door open.
Sam rolled her hazel eyes at me, then ran down the stairs, she is so used to me being in the last minute. Sam has a blonde hair just over her shoulders and then thick thighs, some thinks she plays volleyball or a professional player all the time while in reality she just got it from her mom.
I followed her, closing my front door and turn around to look at my beige corolla, a gift from my late grandpa. We hopped in and drove.
We were going to pick up our two more best friend which by the way was already waiting for us on the corner of the street.
I stopped then they got in at the back.
“I will be having my driving lesson so I can buy my own car and drive you girls around then we won’t be late.” Janna stated. I was the only one who can drive with the four of us. It was a no choice for them. We just laughed because we know that it will be impossible for Janna to get her license.
We were approaching the university, it looks just average. A building here and there. But it was our last choice because of what we did we are now late for the enrolment. Being undecided in a short period of time was not a good idea, I should have chose what school and what course I wanted to take.
I parked the car to the nearest possible parking area and we ran for the room assigned to us.
“Good luck girls!” I shouted my wishes to them hoping we will all be going here for the next few years.
I looked for the room 208 and went inside.
Good thing the instructor has not yet started. There were few students sitting, I spotted an empty seat and then sat.
Our exams went on exactly for 2 hours. After the tiring exam we all went outside.
