C2 The waiting
It has been two weeks since the exam day. I was anxious to know the result. If I didn’t get in, it means I will be going to the local college for a year then going to try to register again next year.
That was the very last option, which I wished won’t happen, because as I said, I really wanted to have my own life and be out of my comfort-zone already. I am excited and nervous.
“You know, if we didn’t get our results today. We probably need to go to a local college tomorrow.” Leih sighed. Leih, Janna and I have been friends since kindergarten, but both of them are the best friends. I was the only quiet one who joins them. Leih has a dark brown eyes, a pointy nose, thin lips, and a petite figure. Janna was the total opposite, she has light brown hair, curvy body but on the same height as Leih. I’m the tallest among us three.
“Yep,” Janna said.
“We are late as it is.” Sam mumbled.
We decided to check our results at the same time. So we gathered in my house to wait and see.
It was already noon and there is still no update.
“Still nada?” My younger brother, William, looked at us in the living room. We all nod our head.
“Okay, one last refresh, then I’m out.” Sam said.
We clicked and then it started to load slowly. Our eyes got bigger and bigger to how long it will appear. We looked at each other and then one by one, it showed accepted in big green letters.
“YESSSS!!!” We all jumped.
“Alright!” We high-five each other.
We can also see on the screen all the things that were arranged already, our dorm room assignment, schedules, locker number, and so on and so fort. We just have to drop by to the admission office tomorrow to get our locker combinations.
Tomorrow is Wednesday, just means we are late for 2 days. But we didn’t mind we got in and we are still all together.
“I can’t wait for tomorrow!” Janna was so excited.
It was just a 4 hour drive so we all decided to have our dinner here, pack our bags and then leave at 4am tomorrow.
