C2 CHAPTER 2

As the Google map was pointing and pronouncing that she had got to the extent location that she was going to. She quickly stopped the tax driver for him not to take her passed that location, paid him off and got down.

Started walking along the streets and looking for the building address. As she saw the number that she was looking for and saw the name of the company that she was going to written boldly on the wall advertising MMO company to her which was the name of the company.

She stopped walking, checking her cloth and also smelling it but the smell of the perfume had weak any kind of smell that could be there. She dressed very well and entered.

As she entered, one of the security guard stopped her and told her to sign in a book, after sighing she took her bag and went inside. Some people that came for the interview were entering along with her.

A young lady stopped her and others coming from her behind, asked them what they were there for and explained one after the others. Those that had knew the type of job that they were there for, were taking to another place and ordered Somia and four other people to sit somewhere else.

Somia felt like she should lied and just said any kind of job because she needs the job like yesterday, thinking may be it was those people in a special place that they could give the jobs to but she just changed her mind and took a fate. Where she was sitting, a fair tall lady got there and standing at their front. All of them were looking at her.

“Good morning everybody and welcome to MMO company!” Greeted them with beautiful smile.

“Good morning too and thank you!” All of them said in chorused including Somia too.

“The interview will soon start. But there is something I want to tell you, it’s a post of Personal Assistant that five of you are recruiting for. After the interview in there, the CEO will come and choose a persona that he wants among you guys may be by doing an interview or not!”

Somia looked at others. They were two ladies and three men.

“It’s not that you that he doesn’t choose will just be going home, you will be fix in any department that you study on. The job here is one hundred percent sure as we said!” All of them smile.

A young lady came out from a room as they were laughing, whispered to the lady that was talking to them and entered the room back. All of them stopped laughing.

“The interview as start, you will be calling in now!” She opened a paper in her hand wanted to be using it to call them in. It was the First Lady that entered and came out after some minutes. Another man entered and the lady sat down on her seat back.

Suddenly the lady called Somia’s name and stood up like a mad woman, she didn’t know that it would be her turn soon and also she had lost in thought. Thinking about her mother.

She quickly carried her bag and entering into the room, sound of the closed and looking at the three men doing interview for them. She quickly greeted them and continued looking.

“Let us start like this. What did you study and what did you came out with?”

“I study business administration and I came out with second class upper. Sir!”

“So which kind of job are you hoping for except from the Personal assistant?”

“Any job, be secretary, stock keeper. Any one, I need this job like yesterday Sir!”

“Wow! And you will get it, you can out now!” Somia greeted them and left. Sat down on the chair back and continued looking waiting for the next step to take.

“Please! What did they asked you?” The First Lady that first entered asked.

“It was what they asked you that they asked me too!” Somia said with loud voice.

“But you were not there when they asked me a question!” The lady said.

“That is to tell you to mind your business. Excuse me!” The lady looked at Somia and kept silent.

All of them had finished doing the interview looking at each other when the lady came out again standing at the front of them.

“It’s CEO that we are waiting for now but he has not arrives. We too don’t want to take your time——“ She was talking when Ashar showed up. It was his father’s company.

As Somia saw him, she faced the wall doing like she was checking something inside the bag. Once she had remembered that she was the one that mess up, didn’t wants him to see her. If not Somia was senseless, she wouldn’t care that it was official place, started embarrassing him again.

“These are those people that are waiting for you to choose one out of them!” Ashar smiled as he was looking at Somia trying to hide her face. The smell of his perfume that she used he had knew that she was the one and the colour of her cloth.

“Take them to the room, I will meet you there shortly!” Said and going to his office.

“That is CEO, you will follow me now—-“ as the lady was talking saw Somia carried her bag and they suddenly saw her running out of the company with high speed.

The lady was calling her and shouting but Somia didn’t hear just running out. All of them were looking at her like surprise.

She ran down to the compound, off her shoe quickly and running out. The securities tried to stop her and for her to sign out but she didn’t replied. Ran out from the gate and continued running to the down street like mad woman, quickly stopped a tax and going home.

The lady, secretary and the interviewees were still standing and looking with surprise. The lady did signed to others and taking the to room. Sound of the door opened and all of them entered, sitting on the chair and waiting for Ashar.

Ashar entered the room after few minutes with the cup of coffee on his hand. Greeted them all, put the cup down and faced the lady. Ashar was a very gentle guy and didn’t uses to be proud at all.

“Where is the fifth lady because I know that they are five as I entered. Where is she?”

“I don’t know what happened to that lady, as you left like this. She took her bag and running out like something is after her, we tried to stop her but she didn't replied. And inside the interview room, she said she need this job even any kind of job she is ready to do it!”

“It’s her that I choose as my Person Assistant, you have her details right?”

“Yes Sir, everything is inside her CV!”

“Send a mail to her and a SMS too. Tell her to resume here tomorrow morning and do that fast. Other, find a place for them, you know the job is one hundred percent sure!”

“Yes sir! I know Sir!” Said with lower voice and with respect.

“Ask them their disciples and tell them all to resume on Monday. It’s only that lady, she must resume tomorrow morning which is Thursday!”

“Okay Sir, I heard you Sir!” She said, Ashar took the cup and left the room.

Somia just arrived home, gave the money to the tax driver and got down. Entered into the gate, closed it and going inside. The house that they were living was the one that her mother planned to build secretly with the little money that she received from her late husband.

It was all the properties that belong to Somia’s father that the uncle took, it was only the house that he didn’t had any idea on. With the kind of the house that they were living no one could say that her father was a billionaire at all just be like average person.

Sound of the door opened and Somia entered, met their mother resting on a chair. She put her bag down and sat down on the floor. Her siblings were not at home and the name of the boy was Ibrahim when the name of the girl was Nibia. Somia and her sister's names were from their tribe.

“Where is Ibrahim and Nibia, one of them should get me water. I beg!”

“None of them is at home. How was where you went to? That is the most important thing now!”

“Oh! Mummy, I didn't get the job. I will keep trying somewhere else!” Said with lower voice and very weak. The run that she ran really made her to weak.

“Why! Why didn't you get the job? But I think it’s hundred percent sure now!”

“Mom! It’s Nigeria that we are. Nothing is hundred percent sure. Just said that!”

“But! Why, why? Not you. It’s my husband's death that caused all this, are you supposed to be looking for job at all. It’s you that suppose to be hiring people not you my daughter that will be looking for job around and still won’t get the job!” Her mother started crying.

“Don’t cry mom. I use God beg you!” Said with lower voice.

“Your siblings are there now, they have missed a year already. Ibrahim that suppose to be in two hundred level now is back to one hundred leave, the same to Nibia too she is back now to two hundred levels. And I don’t want to change their university because of embarrassment even what if they don’t get admission again!” Tearing dropping from her eye.

“Another year is going now. Is it going to waste like that!”

“I will find a job soon and this year won’t go, I promise you that!”

“It’s your father’s death that caused all this that is happening to us. See where i am living!”

“I will make sure I collect all my father’s properties from that rascal uncle. I will!”

“Please! Just leave him, I Don’t want to loss any one of you. Place Somia!”

“It’s our inheritance not his, and I will make sure I collect it back from him!” Said with anger, took her bag on the floor and going to her room.

“Just let him be and leave him for Allah! I beg of Somia. Oh my God!” She felt bad as Somia hit the door on the wall with anger and continued crying in bitterness.
