CHAPTER ONE

Ray had his bestfriend over. He's been playing one of his Video games while his bestfriend, Winnie

had been beside him fiddling her phone.

He has been too self absorbed in his video games that he misses Winnie's signs of boredom and

tiredness. Suddenly, the monitor's screen goes off at the peak of his game that he roars angrily.

Thinking its power failure which is so unusual, he checks his electronic gadgets only to discover

that the fan was still blowing and his smart phone still charging

he begins to wonder what has gone wrong. As he lifts his head up and looked in the

direction of Winnie, he saw her standing few paces away from him holding the cord that connects

the monitor in her hand and smiling devilishly. He charges at her but she drops the cord,

screeching and flees.

"Come back here, winnie!" "How could you do this to me"? Williams says.

"I'm sorry ! " "I was so bored and you weren't paying me

any attention". " you were so focused with your video games". Claire says as she escapes to the

kitchen.

"Stop running away from me and surrender already babe"! "Babe"!. "Babe!!". he calls out to her but

she refuses to respond. He's much more

determined to catch her now but she narrowly escapes him and runs to the bedroom."I'm sorry"! ....

"I'm sorry, okay?" "Ray please!". She says , giving him a puppy dog face but sees that he's not

resolving in his determination to catch her.

She tries to run off again but he catches her and pulls her towards the bed, both falls on the bed

breathing hard.

"Damn girl!" "I'm breathless and sweaty, all thanks to you"; he says as he struggles to catch his

breathe. He notices that Winnie is struggling to hold in her laughter . he turns to her lying on his

side.

"Is it funny to you now"? " should I make you pay for what you've done"? Williams asks her.

"No no no"! " I've totally surrendered ". She stops laughing to show how serious she is and puts

up her hands in mock sign of surrender.

They stare at each other heatedly , soon their faces begins to inch closer to each other, and his

arms

go around her waist, as their lips are about to touch, the front door slams loudly and they

disentangle from each other.

"I.... I... I... I'll go check who's back". He stammers, then walks out quickly from the room.

Winnie signs after Ray leaves the room, she's kinda shaken after they almost kissed if not for the

interruption . she sits up on the bed and starts straightening her clothes when she hears a loud

outburst.

"YOU PIECE OF SHIT"! . she rushes out of the room to go see what's happening. She sees Williams

with Ray and Williams's girlfriend Claire.

Claire is a beautiful dark haired girl that Williams started dated six months ago.

She works as a receptionist in Madonna's shares and Co limited.

She was a good girl, she always wore a smile but right now she looked murderous.

Claire is furious and she was wondering what made her so upset.

Williams had come to her workplace to see her, while they were talking she urgently needed to use

the rest room, a while later she came back to see her boyfriend kissing Kim, "the office whore".

she was furious. If not for the intervention of her best friend and office mate Jasmine, she

would've created a nasty scene.

"You've been going out with that bitch and screwing her behind my back and you stand here and

at Williams and succeeds in punching him twice, once in the jaw and the other on his nose before

she's being pulled back by Ray who grabs her by the waist.

"Calm down Claire!". " take a breather". "Let's settle this peacefully. We don't need to fight or beat

anyone up!". Winnie tries to talk to Claire but Claire shrugs Winnie's attempt to calm her down. "It's

over between us Williams !" Go fuck your bitch and screw you sideways"!. I don't need this

pathetic and lame excuse of a relationship"! She says before stomping her feet and leaving the

house.

"Talk to this asshole of a friend of yours and tell him to get his shits together". Winnie says as she

turns to go. " this is wrong!". " so damn wrong!". She mutters before leaving.
