C13 Unfortunately Those Who Were in the Situation Were Blind!

Fu Sui furrowed his brow and gripped his clothes tightly. "It's been three days already, and the doctor hasn't come."

He was clueless about what had transpired after his last hospital visit, but Soong Ruanruan, who was supposed to visit daily, hadn't shown up even once. That's when he sensed something was amiss.

Fu Jingchuan knew exactly who he was referring to, and his expression instantly turned icy. His voice carried an unintentional edge of hostility, "She has no right to be your doctor."

Fu Sui's eyes widened as he instinctively objected, "That's not true."

"Regardless, she will no longer be your doctor," Fu Jingchuan stated flatly, unwilling to discuss the woman further, and he rose to leave.

It was a relief that Fu Sui was alright this time. If anything serious had happened, a hundred psychologists wouldn't be enough to make amends.

That evening, when Fu Jingchuan arrived home, the butler was anxiously waiting at the gate. Seeing him, the butler seemed to find a lifeline: "Young Master, you've returned! Since you left this morning, the Little Young Master has been in a foul mood, refusing to eat or drink all day. It's been terribly worrying!"

Fu Jingchuan's brows knitted together as he responded coolly, "I'm aware," and strode toward Fu Sui's room, with the butler sighing quietly behind him.

The Little Young Master was indeed pitiable, having lost his mother at birth.

The butler shook his head. He had raised Fu Jingchuan from a young age and knew him intimately.

If it weren't for his love for the Little Young Master's birth mother, how could he be so affectionate towards the Little Young Master?

Alas, love blinds even the wisest.

...

Inside the room, the little one huddled miserably on the bed, but turned away upon his arrival.

Stupid Daddy, he knew full well how much his son adored his auntie, yet he still forbade her from visiting.

Fu Jingchuan watched his son for a long while, puzzled by the boy's strong fondness and dependence on the psychologist. With a furrowed brow and after much contemplation, his resolve softened. He asked, "Do you want that doctor to come back and look after you?"

Upon hearing his question, the little one turned to his father. His plump face was taut, yet he nodded earnestly, even issuing a veiled threat, "If it's not her, I won't let anyone else treat me."

Fu Jingchuan's expression grew stern. After a long pause, he relented, "Fine."

His tone shifted, and he added icily, "But if she does anything to harm you again, I won't let her off the hook."

That evening, as Soong Ruanruan was lulling her daughter to sleep, she received another text message. Her heart skipped a beat, causing her gentle pat on her daughter's hand to become unintentionally forceful.

An An, nearly asleep, was jolted awake by the pat and gazed at the bewildered Soong Ruanruan. In a sleepy voice, she asked, "Mam?"

Soong Ruanruan, realizing she hadn't been gentle enough, quickly apologized to her daughter.

She tenderly kissed the little girl's soft cheek and soothed her, "Mam can go take care of Little Brother again."

She had tried to visit Fu Sui in recent days, but whether at the hospital or at home, she was barred from entering.

Though she was somewhat reassured knowing her son was not in serious danger, she still longed to see him. After several days of fruitless attempts, she was nearly ready to give up.

She didn't understand why he had changed his mind, but the chance to see her child filled her with joy, regardless of the reason.

"Little brother..." The little girl seemed to grasp the concept, nodding off yet fighting sleep. In a voice as soft as a kitten's purr, she whispered, "Mam, I really miss that little brother. When can I see him again?"
