C15 Dear Sui You're so Handsome!!

Lo Qing's face was rigid with anger she couldn't release, her cheeks flushed with frustration. Soong Ruanruan, on the other hand, was startled into a daze.

"Oh! Your boy is so handsome!"

Fu Sui watched her intently until she bit her lip and stomped out of the room in a huff. Soong Ruanruan smacked her lips, crouched down, and gave him a big thumbs up, sincerely exclaiming, "Dear Sui, you look amazing."

She grinned behind her mask, wishing she could plant a big kiss on him. The little guy, feeling the warmth of her praise, couldn't help but shy away from the cold look in his eyes.

After a long play session, as Soong Ruanruan was about to leave, she remembered her daughter's sleepy murmur from before and tentatively asked, "Dear Sui, you remember the little girl from last time, right? She's been missing you."

Fu Sui nodded, bashfully admitting he'd been eager to see the little girl again.

"So, would you like to come over and visit her at my place?" Soong Ruanruan asked, knowing she couldn't risk bringing Soong Le'ann to the Fu family's home. The resemblance between her and her daughter was too striking; if Fu Jingchuan caught sight of her, it would spell disaster.

The little guy nodded once more, his joy unmistakable.

Soong Ruanruan was genuinely delighted by his willingness. Despite years apart, the bond formed during the ten months they shared in her womb was indelible.

A few days later, Soong Ruanruan took Fu Sui back to her home.

"An An, guess who's here?" Soong Ruanruan called out as she entered, spotting her daughter playing on the floor. She then stepped aside to reveal Fu Sui.

The little girl's eyes lit up with joy as she sprang to her feet and dashed over like an eager duckling, wrapping Fu Sui in a bear hug. "Little brother!"

Her soft, chubby cheeks were alight with excitement and smiles, her voice sweet and melodic, almost cooing, "I've missed you so much, little brother. Have you missed An An?"

Fu Sui thought to himself how much mother and daughter were alike, embracing at first sight.

Fu Sui had embraced Soong Ruanruan numerous times before. Now, when the little girl hugged him, he found himself not resisting at all.

The little girl had coaxed Fu Sui into playing games with her for quite some time. Initially, Fu Sui had wanted to refuse, considering the games rather silly for his taste, but he couldn't withstand her pitiful look and ended up reluctantly agreeing.

Watching the siblings play so well together, Soong Ruanruan, observing from the side, was filled with a sense of relief and warmth.

'If only things could always be this way. What a shame...' she thought, feeling a twinge of guilt as she watched Fu Sui indulge his sister.

She owed him so much and hoped it wasn't too late to compensate for the maternal love he had missed.

After tiring of her toys in the living room, Soong Le'ann grabbed Fu Sui's hand and, humming nursery rhymes, led him to her room.

"Thump, thump, thump. Big brother, this is my room. Look, isn't it pretty?" The little girl swung the door open to reveal a room awash in pink, the favorite of many little girls. The furniture was simple, yet the room was arranged with a cozy touch.

She scampered to the bed, snatched up a Little Rabbit doll from the headboard, and presented it to Fu Sui with both hands. "This is my favorite Little Rabbit. I'm giving it to you!"

Fu Sui took the doll carefully and examined it. The Little Rabbit seemed well-loved and not quite new, as if it had been hand-sewn.

He glanced at the clothes hanging in the wardrobe. They appeared to be well-worn but treasured.

His own clothes were worn only once or twice. He had a personal designer who created his wardrobe, and every month, a new batch of clothes arrived at his home, with the old ones being discarded.

Holding the Little Rabbit doll, Fu Sui's brow furrowed involuntarily. He couldn't quite explain it, but he felt a pang of sympathy for the little girl.

He had grown up without a care, always the center of attention, never experiencing a life like Soong Le'ann's. He made a silent vow to gift his sister plenty of new clothes and toys from now on.

At that moment, the little girl approached with a large photo album in her arms. "Look at the album of mommy and me!" she exclaimed to her 'little brother'.

The album overflowed with pictures of the little girl: in a charming skirt, bundled up in a fluffy winter coat with only her tiny head peeking out, each photo graced with her sweet smile.

Among them were also photos of Soong Ruanruan with the little girl.

Back when she was younger, Soong Ruanruan would hold her close during photo sessions. The tenderness in Soong Ruanruan's eyes was so profound, it was as though they could well up with water, brimming with a mother's love for her daughter.

Fu Sui caught his breath, a shadow of melancholy flickering across his eyes.

And then, it all made sense to him.

All the glory and riches paled in comparison to a mother's love for her children.
