C19 Chapter 18

"Are you sure you're gonna be fine here?" I asked her worriedly.

"Of course, and besides that perverted creep is a jerk but he's nice. Well, kinda." Sassy said grimacing with her last sentence.

I chuckled at her words and gently patted her head.

"I'll find a way so that you can stay with me in the palace. Hang on there for a while, okay? I told her.

Cool and I decided to look for a possible way to bring Sassy in the palace. It's to ensure her safety and Hailec's welfare as well.

"Yes, your highness." She answered in a teasing tone and even offered me a curt bow.

"Stop it!" I scolded and immediately pulled her up. She just laughed at me and teased me even more.

"It's nice having a Princess as my best friend." She continued.

I was about to scold her one more time but we heard the door of the conference room opened and the guys entered the huge living room.

"We have to go." Cool informed us while staring at me.

I turned my head to face my friend once again to bid my goodbye.

"I'll try to visit you more often," I said and shifted my gaze towards the owner of the house.

"Is it alright?"

"Of course. Your highness. You're welcome anytime." Hailec answered politely.

"You should call me Fhyra," I said with a smile.

"I dare not---"

"You called her Fhyra at school, dumbass!" Sassy interjected.

"That's true. So drop that meaningless title now. Besides, taking Sassy here and keeping her safe, I owe you one with that. Let's all be friends." I smiled after saying my piece and offered him my hand for a handshake.

He stared at me for a while before taking it with a smile.

"Princess! Where have you been? Everyone in the palace is looking for you!" Igris said anxiously as she accidentally met us in the hall when we were on the way back to my room.

"Why?" I asked confused.

"The Queen went to your room to visit you but you're not there. She asked someone to look for you, but nobody saw you and---" she reported anxiously but trailed off at her last sentence and glance at the man silently standing beside me.

"And what?* I asked impatiently when I started to realize that there is something wrong with the way she look at Cool.

"S-she ordered to take Commandant Santiago to prison." She said slightly trembling.

My eyes widened with what I heard.

"What?! Why?!" My head immediately snapped back at the man beside me.

"When no one can find you, she asked to see Commandant to ask if he knows where to find you. But no one can find him either, they searched for a little more and then---" Ignis trailed off once again.

"Ignis!" I called out, starting to get more irritated and anxious with the way she delivered the news.

"I'm sorry your Highness!" she immediately apologized and bowed down in front of me.

But I couldn't care less, upon hearing that my grandmother is sending Cool to prison.

"Just keep going!" I hissed at her.

Ignis started to tremble in front of me. This is the first time I raised my voice on her ever since she started serving as my personal muranda.

I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around to face Cool staring at me disapprovingly.

'You're scaring her.' He said that cause me to realize how rude I acted.

I turned my attention back at the little girl who was about to burst into tears in front of me.

I took a deep breath and was immediately filled with guilt as I took a step closer to her. She automatically took a step back, frightened.

I continued to take one step closer to her and caught her hand, she almost flinched when our body contacted.

She just relaxed when she realized that I was holding her gently and without force. She looked up to look at me in the face, confusion evident in her face.

"I'm sorry for shouting Ignis. I was just anxious and worried." I apologized and gently squeezed her hand that I was holding.

Her eyes widened when she heard me. She immediately shook her head repeatedly.

"No, no, Princess. It's this servant's fault for being incompetent!" she said, a little fast.

My forehead creased on how she addressed herself.

"You're not my servant, you're a friend, Ignis. A friend." I finally said with a warm smile on my face.

Well, that's true. Ignis reminds me of the younger Sassy. She was the only one I can talk to comfortably in this place aside from Cool.

The poor girl's eyes turned teary even more. I gazed back at Cool, not knowing what to do anymore.

He sighed and took two steps closer to us. He caught Ignis' attention because of that.

"How is the situation now?" he calmly asked her.

We both waited as we stare at Ignis, waiting for her answer. But I was immediately filled with anxiety when I heard how worse the situation we were in, right now.

"They concluded that the commandant took you away. They think he kidnapped you, Princess."

"Fhyra! Calm down!" Cool keeps on asking me to calm down and trying to stop me from barging through the Queen's quarters.

"Set aside, Cool," I said in a warning voice when he stood in front of the large door of the Queen's quarters.

"Calm the fuck down, will you?!" he hissed and tried to hold me but I took a step back, afraid I would hurt him.

I was in rage. I cannot control myself at times like this. I remembered how I caused Dad to have a heavy burn on his hands when he tried to comfort me that one time that Mom and I had an argument.

I didn't want that to happen again.

"Get away from the door, Cool," I said calmly but my insides are already burning.

I really understand why Mom had to run away from this place. Her mom is a total freak! A control and crazy freak!

So suffocating.

"What's happening here?" I heard a familiar authoritative voice behind me.

I turned around to see my grandmother just arrived and behind her was Blaze and his father among the other Royalties which we ate dinner with the last time.

Of course! I mocked myself. Of course, she's with them.

When I didn't answer her questions they turned their attention on the man behind me, standing before the grand door of the Queen's quarters.

"Guardias! Arrest him now!" Blaze ordered the guards around.

I immediately got alerted when I saw the guards approaching Cool. I instinctively took steps backward, closer to him.

'Calm down Fhyra!' I heard him keep saying.

"Shut up!" I said with gritted teeth.

The people in front of me thought I was talking to them. Blaze's expression changed. He ordered the guards once again to capture Cool.

But before they could even approach us, I set a large fire around us.

"Fhyra! What are you doing?! Argh!" Cool said and grunted when he got burned when he grabbed and touch my shoulders.

"Don't touch me! You'll get burned!" I yelled at him.

The guards were trying to extinguish the fire I made.

But they can't.

Although all Flamias had the ability to control fire, a normal flamia like them can't compare to the royal blood's abilities. Not to mention that I made these fire barriers with rage.

"What are you all doing?! Capture the Commandant! Now!" I heard Blaze's father ordered.

"Put down the fire, Princess Fhyra!" I heard someone from the crowd shouted.

But instead, I made it even bigger. The fire was circling me and Cool, not allowing anyone to come across it.

I smirked when I felt Blaze's persona trying to suppress me but is failing terribly.

"Come'n Count Fantilaga. Is that all you've got?" the whole place stilled when they heard my voice.

"Fhyra, stop." Cool whispered behind me and tried to put my fire out using his ability.

But years of training with Dad, trying to extinguish my fire over and over, I'm immune to that already.

"You claimed that you can train me before right? You can't even extinguish a simple barrier." I mocked.

"Fhyra, stop this already." I heard the Queen's voice.

"No, you want to take him, right? Try then." I said confidently.

I felt someone strong oppressing my powers. I smirked when I realized it was actually the Queen, working to kill the fire now.

I was told by one of the trainers that my persona was strong enough as it is, but being fed with intense emotions, my persona is unstoppable.

I chuckled when I saw her astonished face.

"What? Are you shocked, grandma?" I said emphasizing the way I addressed her.

"You can't stop her." She silently whispered but was heard by everyone.

I saw her stared at me and her glance shifted towards the man behind me. I followed her gaze and I think I saw a glow on his chest. The part where his mark is.

I heard the crowd gasped as I saw a wave coming behind him, and before I can even react, he already extinguished the fire I've made and immediately caught me in his arms when I felt my whole body collapsed.

"Idiot! I told you to stop! You're harming yourself!" I heard him hissed before darkness succumbed to me.
