"Lisa! Did you see my shoes?" Kara called from her bedroom as she approached Melissa's bedroom.

"Nope. I didn't." Melissa said without looking up. Her headset was plugged in as she listened to her favorite pop music.

"Come on. Could you help me find it please?" Kara said dragging Melissa off the bed. "I'm going to Symphony park, I have a date." She said giving Melissa a cute smile. She always did that when she talked about guys she was interested in.

"Alright, alright. I'd help you, just don't tear me apart" Melissa said whilst getting off her bed.

"Where's that anyway?" She asked as she left her room. " I mean the Symphony park or whatever you called it," Melissa said rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, it's Symphony park," Kara said. " it's downtown".

"But I've never been there since I came to Vegas," Melissa said bending over to find the other pair of Kara's heels.

"Well, apparently someone was too busy with Damon at that time when she should be exploring and living her best life," Kara said mocking Melissa.

"One more word from you about Damon and I'd have you looking all around the neighborhood for your goddamn heels." Melissa shot back feigning annoyance.

"Wooo! Easy tiger. You know I was just kidding, Lisa." Kara said acting repentant.

Immediately, both of them burst out laughing.

"Woof! Woof!" They heard Zoey, a chihuahua barking from behind them as they turned around to see Kara's second heel in her mouth.

"Aww! You're such a sweet dog Zoey, what on earth would I do without you." Kara said as she retrieved her heel from Zoey's mouth and gave the dog a quick kiss.

"Don't get a kiss from her as a reward Zoey" Melissa said whilst laughing. " Make sure she takes you on a walk around the park, I'd see to that." She said making Kara scowl.

"Bye-bye boo," Kara said as she waved to Melissa and shut the door behind her.

The apartment was completely silent as even Zoey had gone to her kennel behind the door.

"Great! Now it's just me." Melissa said lifting herself off the floor as she headed toward her room. She picked up a book as she thought it'd be nice to read something on her off day since Kara had already done their laundry. Kara was a very supportive friend and she has been so since high school.

Five minutes into reading and there was a notification on her phone. She dropped the book by her side as she picked up her phone and read from the notification bar.

'YOU HAVE ONE NEW MATCH!'

It was from ' Dating pro'. She remembered how she had registered the other day at the bar and taken beautiful photos in a red dress the following day. The dress had revealed her cleavage but she didn't seem to mind. She was playing the role of a seductress and because of that, she needed to show some skin.

Kara would have screamed when she saw the notification if she was here. 'Damn that girl' Melissa thought as she shook her head. When Melissa had told Kara about the dating site, Kara had told her she was already on one but not 'Dating pro'. This was the very reason why Kara always went out on dates.

Melissa tapped on the notification and her first match was 'Mike'.She opened his profile but it didn't display his photos, age, or location. She wondered how she matched with him without noticing any of this. She probably was too excited then or could it be Kara when she was helping her set up her profile.

'Hey there! You look gorgeous' popped a message on her notification bar from Mike.

'Thank you, I wish I could say the same' Melissa replied Mike with distaste. She had no interest in an anonymous.

Immediately, her phone started vibrating with loads of notifications.

The notifications kept coming in multiple times. Melissa jumped up like she had won a lottery. She really didn't expect to be sought out like this. Soon,she was going to be the chic she had always imagined herself to be.

She received messages from several men with so many endearments. A lot of which was asking her out on a date. She went through the profile of quite a number of them and they all seem to be wealthy men.

'Would you like to go for dinner tonight?' came a message from 'Leo'.

Melissa checked her schedule for the rest of the day and saw that she had nothing to do. She needed to step out of the house anyway. She had been indoors since morning and needed to breathe some fresh air.

She replied 'Leo' that she would have dinner with him by 7:00 pm. Almost immediately, she got a message from him.

'Meet me at Summit Casino. I'd be waiting for you.

On impulse, she jumped off her bed remembering she still needed to select the dress she was going to wear for the dinner. She checked her closet and saw a red gown. She remembered it was Damon that bought it for her but she wasn't pissed enough to throw the innocent beautiful gown away. She needed it to play her role of a seductress after all.

Looking at her shoe rack, she saw a red stiletto. She decided to put on black net leggings under the gown since it was short and would probably look shorter after wearing the stiletto.

Staring at herself in the mirror, she was satisfied with her look. She picked up her purse and took a last glance at herself in the mirror. She could hear the horn of a car indicating that the taxi she ordered was already right in front of her door.

She went towards Zoey's kennel as she added some more food and water for the chihuahua.

"This should be enough for you before I or Kara returns." She said while taking a mental note of her surrounding.

"Love you, Zoey, be good okay." She said shutting the door behind her.

The music from the casino was so loud that it could be heard on the streets.

Melissa got to the entrance and was confronted by bouncers. She wondered why the Casino had such tight security that night.

"Do you have a reservation ma'am?" the tall bouncer asked Melissa.

"No. But I have someone who's waiting for me inside," she said.

"Sorry, ma'am. We do not take such here. No reservation, no entry."

Melissa couldn't say a word. She fumbled with her purse in search of her phone. She realized she didn't get Leo's number so she had to chat him up via 'Dating pro'.

' I'm outside but they won't let me in' she sent to Leo.

'Hang on. I'd be with you shortly' Leo replied immediately.

Melissa turned to look at the roadside as she decided to text Kara that she was outside.

"Hello pretty" came a voice from behind her. It was Leo. She turned around and behold, a charming young man. She wondered if her attempt to play the role of a seductress would stand a chance with Leo. He looked so good. And he smelt so good she thought as he hugged her.

"Hello handsome," she said playing along. " How do you do?" she asked.

" I'm very well, thanks. We should go in my lady," he said faking a bow.

Melissa burst out laughing as she realized Leo was easygoing. She let all the pressure she came with slide away as they stepped into the Casino.

The interior was classy and so were the people Melissa set her eyes on. There were men in suits, bachelors, and old men who still loved to have fun despite their age. There were also young women like Melissa or older who were dressed in tight-fitting gowns and heels of different inches.

It was indeed a beautiful sight to see at night. Leo led her through a crowd of people as they sat on a cushion at one end of the large room.

Melissa wondered where she had been all these while she hadn't experienced this life in Vegas. She knew the answer already. Damon.
