C15 Chapter 15

Too many of AJ’s words clash in my brain, keeping the sentences from leading to any sort of comprehension. As I wait for the pieces to fall into place, Erzsébet walks over and steps between me and my friend.

“Very pushy,” AJ says in response to Erzsébet’s arrival. “You must be the witch wolfy was talking about.”

“I’m sure I am,” the queen responds in a soft tone that belies the look on her face
