C18 Chapter 18

When she opened the door, the rain was still dripping. She found a large theater on the wall that Yuan Fann had mentioned earlier. Soong Chaoxi said to the two people inside the door, "Someone is here. Let's go and take a look."

No one refused. Yuan Fann and Nan Lu stood up and walked outside together.

Nan Lu said timidly, "What if it's dark?"

Even though they all knew how to walk out of the night, they didn't seem to have the confidence to do so.

"Then let's hold hands and hurry over."

Yuan Fann suggested with a smile. He had already taken Nan Lu's hand and extended it to Soong Chaoxi.

What a joke...

"Forget it. I'll walk by myself."

She put her hands into her pockets in disdain and walked forward quickly. After a while, a hand grabbed her arm. She thought it was Yuan Fann. However, she found Nan Lu looking at her firmly.

She had no choice but to walk.

It was rare for flowers to bloom beside the theater. Soong Chaoxi only took a glance and went in. After all, it was not a place she could stay for long.

Everyone arrived at a safe place. She thought about it, her head down, remembering that she had smelled a faint scent of lilies when she first woke up, and she was willing to believe she had.

Granny had said that this sort of thing was different for everyone. Some people would feel it at the beginning, but it might not happen in the end. It was not impossible for them to recover.

The music circled the theater. It sounded like a piano piece. It was gentle and soft, giving people the illusion that they were in a paradise.

What kind of person could play such a song?

With such curiosity, Soong Chaoxi followed Yuan Fann and Nan Lu up a few steps of quartz. There were many honor certificates hanging in the corridor.

The source of the music was to the left of the theater, and when you got to the top of the steps you could see a bare, smooth floor, clean, with a lot of instruments in front of it. There was a person sitting on the piano chair.

The window was open, and the gray curtains were fluttering in the wind. This scene was a little out of place. Soong Chaoxi felt that everything was out of place here.

She looked at the man who was playing the music with admiration, and then she saw that Yuan Fann was about to say hello, but the music changed as if it were turning a corner at a very fast speed.

The originally gentle and beautiful melody suddenly became chaotic. The woman's hand was beating the piano crazily, and her expression was painful and ferocious.

Finally, everything calmed down. The three of them stood there in a daze as they watched the woman pick up the piano stool and then raise it up high.

What did she want to do?

Soong Chaoxi didn't know, but her inner instincts sent a signal to her. Before she could react to the message, she had already run over.

She tried to use her hands and her entire body to stop her movements, but the piano stool still smashed towards her without hesitation.

The woman suddenly stepped back, not knowing why this happened. She looked at Yuan Fann in disbelief.

Soong Chaoxi heard the sound of the stool hitting her body, but she didn't feel any pain.

For a moment, she thought she was finished.
