C30 Chapter 30
Outside, monsters seemed to be whispering.
Soong Chaoxi sat on the floor and casually opened a book to read. The rain and the whispers outside made her upset. She came to the first floor and there was nothing to be afraid of.
She put down the book and continued to stare blankly.
For some reason, staring blankly seemed to be able to escape from everything around her. She liked to empty herself and quietly enjoy all the sounds around her.
There was no way to see through the glass. Soong Chaoxi stood up abruptly. She suddenly heard a voice. It did not sound like the voices of the other three.
She seemed to have heard her own voice in the past, but it was very weak. Moreover, that voice disappeared very quickly.
"Strange..."
For a moment, she seemed to see the past. She only hoped that all of this would end quickly, so that she wouldn't have to endure such pain anymore.
Yuan Fann wanted to know why there were so many strange sounds. The three of them were in the hall on the first floor. He looked out of the glass door worriedly.
What should he do?
"These sounds are too scary."
Nan Lu paced back and forth uneasily on the side while Ann Yu sat calmly on a chair at the side.
Darkness will swallow you up. You must maintain a strong desire to survive.
He suddenly remembered what the granny said. If everyone here could leave, why must you maintain a strong desire to live?
He was very confused about this.
The granny's words...
What was the real rule here? Was it really as Soong Chaoxi thought, that she was hiding something? But if that was the case, why? Why did that person hide it?
He had no way of knowing any of this.
However, maybe not everyone could leave this place. Maybe only those who had the desire to live could. Maybe those who had lost the desire to live would die.
What was all this?
He started to become irritated. He started to panic about the unknown future.
"You guys stay here. I'm going out for a while."
It was easy to get lost in the dark...
Before anyone could react, Yuan Fann placed his hand on the door and pushed it open.
"Are you crazy?"
He did not turn around. He only said, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
He did not know if he would really be safe, but he really wanted to go back.
He had hesitated before, but after he took the first step, he knew he couldn't regret it. He didn't have any time to hesitate. It was terrible to hesitate in the dark. He walked firmly in the dark.
Although he did not feel anything physically, he still felt as if something was pressing on him.
Soon, he arrived outside the bookstore. He was about to push open the door and see Soong Chaoxi.
So, he pushed open the door, and his vision suddenly turned dark.
He didn't know what had happened, whether he had gone the wrong way or whether at some point everything had changed, and for a moment he didn't know what had happened to him. He didn't even have time to fear.
He only remembered that at that time, he seemed to have heard someone shouting.
He couldn't remember. He hoped nothing would happen.
That was all he could think at the last moment.
