C10 You Have No Humanity

Her heart slowly sank, as if she were falling into a bottomless abyss. The man before her was nothing short of a madman, or perhaps a beast devoid of humanity. No ordinary person could have such a bloodthirsty mindset. Feng Muhan gave her two choices, but in reality, there was only one path: to take a daring gamble.

The sky was a brilliant blue, with a few lazy clouds drifting by. The weather was gentle and soothing, painting a picture of serene beauty. Yet, what lay before her was an invitation to a deadly feast.

"What’s the matter, not hungry?" he asked with a twisted smile, pointing to the lake where massive alligators swam like serpents. "They sure are!"

His face, full of menace, suddenly loomed before her like a bloodthirsty predator, tightening its grip around her throat, pushing her closer to the cliff's edge. The sinister smile on his face was indescribable. The chilling coldness in his eyes made her shiver, as if she were standing at the gates of hell.

With her life threatened and survival at stake, she instinctively clenched her fists. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of the towering walls reaching into the sky. This castle was not only astonishingly large but also heavily guarded, like a massive prison.

After three days and nights without a single bite to eat, she felt like an eagle whose wings had been clipped by a demon, robbed of the strength to soar. Was she destined to be trapped here forever? No! She refused to spend her life confined in this hellish place. But a bird without wings can't escape its cage, even if the door is wide open. So, she needed to regain her strength, and quickly.

Forcing herself to stay calm, Su Ranxi focused on the food atop the platform, her eyes filled with intense longing. It wasn't just food; it was her lifeline. Yet, when she glanced at the giant alligator in the lake, her desire vanished, replaced by a sharp, poisonous glare aimed at the man before her.

"Well, you might be disappointed. I have a knack for fighting for my share, even if today’s opponent is a 'beast.' Fortunately, my enthusiasm remains high. However, with your hospitality today, I promise to return the favor someday!"

Feng Muhan could easily detect the fierce spirit beneath her seemingly gentle demeanor. But that was exactly what he wanted—to push her to the brink and strip away her calm facade.

"Guest?" he scoffed, his cold eyes sweeping over Su Ranxi in her servant's attire, his demeanor arrogant. "You seem to have forgotten your place here. I'm the master, you're the servant. Your life and death are in my hands. I'm the one in control here!"

Though she was certain he had the power to end her life, Su Ranxi wasn't one to back down easily. Su Ranxi? Wait! Was that her name? The name suddenly flashed through her mind, and instinctively, she felt it was hers. But why couldn't she remember anything else? Her conscious mind tried to probe deeper, but a headache began to form.

"Do you think you'll ever get a chance to leave this place?" Feng Muhan's voice echoed in her ears, but Su Ranxi seemed oblivious, her thoughts drifting.

Despite his intense pressure, she could still remain unfazed? This infuriated Feng Muhan. This woman was clearly not taking him seriously!

Suddenly, he reached out, grabbed her with force, and with a harsh tug, he flung the frail Su Ranxi into the lake.
