C11 Disgusting

Lost in thought, Su Ranxi felt her body plummeting rapidly. Instinctively, she twisted mid-air, landing gracefully on the long wooden posts stretching across the lake, much like a nimble cat.

Standing on a quarter of the way across, a fine sheen of sweat appeared on her forehead. She glanced back at Feng Muhan on the shore, letting out a silent scoff and a cold smile before she began her shaky, unsteady steps toward the platform in the middle of the lake.

If she had to be trapped in this godforsaken place by this beast of a man, she'd rather risk everything, even becoming fish food, to find a way out.

With unwavering determination, she inched closer to her goal, her body trembling with each step.

Come on, Su Ranxi, get it together. Keep your balance!

Though she couldn't remember her past, something deep inside told her that such a landing would have been just a warm-up for her before.

Two-thirds of the way across, her energy was nearly spent. The platform was within reach, but dizziness started to cloud her mind. She knew this was her body's reaction to a lack of essential nutrients—plainly put, she hadn't eaten in days, and her low blood pressure was catching up with her.

Su Ranxi clenched her fists tightly, trying to steady her slightly swaying body. She couldn't afford to collapse; below her was a perilous drop. One misstep and she’d be facing a gruesome end. She kept reminding herself to push through the waves of dizziness with sheer willpower.

On the shore, a man sat indifferently on a chair brought by a maid, his long fingers tapping lightly on the crystal table. This woman was agile and determined, more impressive than anyone since Mu Ling, and perhaps even surpassing her by a margin. The human body's potential is limitless, often revealed in life-and-death situations.

Feng Muhan observed Su Ranxi's physical resilience, calmly analyzing her defensive responses to external pressures. He aimed to unlock her potential, pushing her limits to see just how far she could go. He was eager to witness the extent of her latent energy.

Su Ranxi had no idea what Feng Muhan was planning, and even if she did, she had no time to worry about it now.

Feng Muhan watched Su Ranxi hop around like a little rabbit on the wooden stumps, a playful smile tugging at his lips. He snapped his fingers, and the servants on either side of him suddenly looked alarmed.

"Come here!" he beckoned to one of them with a finger, signaling her to approach. The maid, pale with fear, hurried forward, not daring to delay. "Master," she stammered.

"Go, release those things," he ordered, his face showing a devil-may-care attitude, while his eyes held a chilling amusement.

"Yes!" The maid glanced at Su Ranxi, who was struggling to stay afloat in the lake, and silently wished her luck. If she ended up in a dire situation, it would be down to sheer bad luck.

There were six more stumps to cross, and beyond them lay food. Su Ranxi was determined to make it. She wiped the sweat from her forehead, silently cheering herself on.

Just then, a massive green crocodile with a gaping maw suddenly leaped out of the calm lake. This unexpected turn of events caught her completely off guard. Su Ranxi gasped sharply, pinching her leg hard to steady herself and avoid a misstep.
