C9 Two Choices
His eight-pack abs were sharply defined, with water droplets slowly trailing down the perfect lines of his muscles. His skin, a light tan, was crisscrossed with countless scars that, instead of detracting from his appearance, added an intense ruggedness.
A blush spread from Ranxi's cheeks to her ears, but she didn't want to look away. Her eyes were unusually bright, fixed and unblinking. She couldn't understand why she was so captivated. She even felt an urge to capture the scene before her in a painting.
Muhan noticed the way she looked at him, as if she could devour him with her eyes. A hint of amusement played on his lips, but his expression darkened when he saw her damp clothes.
"Have you seen enough?"
"Not yet."
Ranxi replied instinctively, then realized what she had said. She gasped, shifting her gaze from his physique to his face, now shadowed with a deep frown.
Muhan strode over to her, sweeping her up in his arms with a commanding presence, and carried her into the bathroom. She had only just regained some strength and was no match for him. Fearing she might fall, she wrapped her arms around his neck.
With a splash, she was unceremoniously tossed into the water-filled tub.
Thinking about how Feng Muhan had just been in this bath, she scrambled to get out.
"If you want to starve, then don't bathe."
Hearing this, Su Ranxi looked up at Feng Muhan's departing figure, her face puzzled. From the way he acted, it was clear that whether she bathed or not, there wouldn't be any inappropriate scenes. But he couldn't possibly let her off so easily.
With this doubt in mind, Su Ranxi washed up as quickly as possible, only to discover a new problem. She had nothing to wear.
After searching the bathroom, she found a white shirt and a maid's outfit on a shelf. The white shirt was probably Feng Muhan's, but she really didn't want to wear the maid's outfit.
Three minutes later, Feng Muhan watched as Su Ranxi emerged from the bathroom, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He had expected her to wear the maid's outfit and had even hidden all the scissors, or maybe she'd wear the shirt, which he had deliberately left as the shortest one. But he hadn't anticipated...
Su Ranxi glanced down at the combination of the shirt over the maid's outfit and smiled with satisfaction. This was the most comfortable she'd felt since arriving here, especially safe.
To her surprise, Feng Muhan didn't say a word and simply walked out. The calm before the storm?
Su Ranxi thought of these words and followed him.
The hallway wasn't as crowded with female servants as it had been that day, but a few passed by occasionally. She noticed they all sneaked glances at Feng Muhan, their admiration evident in their eyes.
People here must have a screw loose.
After a series of twists and turns, she found herself not outside the castle, but at its very center. Su Ranxi squinted up at the sun and continued following Feng Muhan, taking in the beautiful surroundings. It felt remarkably like her own backyard.
Wait, her own backyard?
Su Ranxi was taken aback.
"Sir, everything is ready," the butler's respectful voice brought her back to reality. She saw him standing not far away. Beside him was a massive lake, elevated about six feet above the ground.
In the lake were countless crocodiles, some half-submerged, others basking on the banks. Stone pillars, just wide enough for two feet, stood straight in the water, leading to a platform in the middle of the lake.
There was a table set with various dishes, and just the sight of it made Su Ranxi's stomach rumble loudly with desire. She wanted to eat, but if she lost her balance and fell, she'd become someone else's meal.
Could it be...
Su Ranxi considered a possibility, her pupils constricting. She turned her head to see Muhan with a teasing expression on his face.
"You have two choices: one, walk over and eat, or two, I'll toss you down there to be eaten."
He was just eager to see the moment her calm facade was shattered. It would definitely be interesting.
