C5 Dinner

During the next few days, Lu Kewei became simple and happy. Although he was still working in the dessert shop, he would occasionally look up and see Song Zixiu quietly sitting in the corner. For a moment, he felt a surge of unknown emotion, and this emotion was still incessantly fermenting.

Today, Lu Kewei had an early shift, so he could leave in the afternoon. After she changed and came out, Song Zixiu had already packed up his laptop and was sitting in his seat waiting for her.

As soon as the two walked out of the dessert shop, Song Zixiu suggested, "I haven't had much of the local food, so you should have a good recommendation after staying here for so long."

"I do, but I don't think you'll find it delicious."

Song Zixiu smiled as well, "It's rare to come here, so you should at least try to follow the customs of the land."

He took Song to a local restaurant that was very popular with locals, where elderly people sat at a table and chatted.

When the dishes Song Zi ordered were served, he was already displeased just by looking at the dishes. He ate a few mouthfuls. As expected, he was completely unable to like them.

"I knew you wouldn't like it. If you don't mind, why don't you come home with me and I'll make you some hometown dishes to eat?"

Song Zixiu would never have thought that there would be such a treatment. Of course, he would have wished for it. After buying the bill, he immediately left with Lu Kewei.

The two of them continued to walk towards Lu Kewei's residence. Along the way, Song Zixiu asked, "Do we need to go to the supermarket to buy ingredients?"

"No need. I just happened to prepare some yesterday. I didn't expect it to be so easy on you."

Song Zixiu had never eaten any of the dishes she cooked before, so he was not really looking forward to it. He joked, "Then this is the day you have to cook for me tonight, no, I'm talking about God here."

Lu Kewei was a bit speechless, "When we first met, I kept having the feeling that you didn't like to talk, but now I realize that it's all an illusion."

Song Zixiu looked at her gently and said, "When we spend more time together, you will probably find out more."

Lu Kewei smiled but did not say anything. Soon, they arrived at their destination.

Although this was not Song Zixiu's first time here, he still felt like he was lost in old times. He went up the wooden stairs to the second floor, where he was given a seat and allowed to change his clothes.

She quickly came out and said to Song Zixiu, "Wait a moment, I'll get it ready soon."

Song Zixiu nodded and said, "I'll have to trouble the chef to hurry up. I'm really hungry now."

He turned around and walked into the kitchen.

Song Zixiu was bored out of his mind. He stood up and carefully looked at the decorations of the house. He could tell that even the inconspicuous decorations in the corner were nothing ordinary.

After walking around, he saw that Lu Kewei's door was not closed. He called out to the people in the kitchen, "Kewei, I'll go into your room to take a look."

As Lu Kewei was cooking, he could faintly hear the people outside talking to her. He hurriedly asked, "What are you talking about?"

Song Zixiu seemed to ignore his words as he pushed open the door and walked in. It was almost the same style as the outside, but there were subtle differences in the details. It could be seen that Qin Zheng truly cared about her niece. Thinking of this, she smiled again. If it weren't for the concern she had for him, she wouldn't have brought him away so resolutely back then.

The wallpaper on the walls of the room was a bit brighter than the one in the living room. The color of the wallpaper was much brighter than the one in the living room.

He sat down at the foot of the bed and gently stroked the sheets, as if he could imagine her three years in this room. He thought he could miss her for three years, but not for the rest of his life.

Lu Kangwei carried the piece of meat to the dining room, but the man who should have been sitting in the living room was nowhere to be seen. He suddenly found her room door wide open, and rushed over as if he had thought of something.

As soon as she entered, she saw that the man seemed to be very tired as he leaned against the single sofa she had placed on the windowsill with his eyes closed. There was quite a lot of noise from her entrance, so Song Zixiu quickly opened his eyes and smiled at her, "I'm sorry, I might be a little tired. Seeing that this place is quite pleasing to the eye, I couldn't help but to lean on it."

Lu Kangwei was still wearing an apron and was dressed like a housewife. He only said, "I've already prepared a dish, and I just need to make a soup and a steamed dish. You can go eat there first."

Song Zixiu followed him and stood up. Lu Kewei went back to the kitchen, while Song Zixiu was already sitting at the dining room table.

When Lu Kewei came out with the steamed dish, Song Zixiu pointed to the first dish and asked, "This dish is not bad. What's its name?"

Lu Kewei put down the steamed bun and replied, "This dish is called Fish Meat Thread."

Song Zixiu showed an expression of confusion, "Why is it called that? I didn't see any fish at all? "

Only when he was sitting down could she do this. She couldn't help but purposely make him angry and said, "I think even when you're sitting, you're standing taller than me."

Song Zixiu was initially stunned, but when he realized what she meant by that, his expression immediately changed, "Alright, Lu Kewei. I think you're asking for a beating."

"This dish is called Plum Blossom Meat. I started preparing the Plum Blossom Meet yesterday. I didn't expect that all the good things have been prepared for you."

Song Zi tasted the meat and found that it tasted good. He smiled and said, "That's why I always felt like I was lucky."

He went back into the kitchen. She had also cooked a pot of baby food, and the meal was almost ready.

After a while, Lu Kewei's voice came from the kitchen, "Song Zixiu, come in and help us."

Song Zixiu put down the bowl and immediately went into the kitchen. Lu Kewei pointed at the soup on the counter and said, "Take that bowl of baby dish out. Be careful of scalding your hands."

Song Zixiu did as he was told, and Lu Kewei, who happened to be serving two bowls of rice, followed him out of the kitchen.

It was unknown if the dishes were really to his liking, but Song Zixiu ate three bowls of rice in a row.

"It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious meal." Song Zixiu put down the bowl and said contentedly as he finally felt full.

"Those who don't know would think that you haven't eaten in a long time."

Song Zi Xiu replied, "I really do feel that way."

When she came out, Song Zi was watching TV. Recently, at this time, one of the four homegrown WTA tournament's hotnets was in full swing in London, and today, Britain's hottest tennis star was coincidentally from Scotland. It was hard not to get excited about the match here, but she did not expect Song to be interested in it.

"Do you like tennis?" he asked.

Song Zixiu replied in a teasing manner, "Actually, I don't really like them, but they are all dressed in short skirts. They are quite pleasing to the eyes."

I think it's not bad, too. Those men are first-class athletes.

Song Zixiu still had a smile on his face, but he thought back to a few years ago when they met. At that time, she was a beautiful girl at a domestic tennis match, and their fates began at that moment.

After sitting for a while, Song Zixiu asked again, "Have you always been good at cooking?" He had never known she had such a trick up her sleeve, and he felt happier tonight than he had ever felt before when he had eaten the food she cooked with her own hands.

Lu Kewei picked up a pillow on the sofa and carelessly replied, "That's because I'm not used to the food here, so I was forced to eat here. Other than doing it myself, I can't even find a place to eat." Her rapid improvement in culinary skills was related to Qin Zheng. Qin Zheng had always been a person who paid attention to the quality of life. It was fine if Lu Kangwei did not cook for himself, but once Qin Zheng was done, he would often give his advice, and her culinary skills could only get better and better.

The evening's tennis match was about to end. Lu Kewei looked at the clock on the wall. According to her understanding of Song Zixiu, he should be saying goodbye soon.

Unexpectedly, the opponent suddenly said to her when one of the team members got the match points: "It's getting late, aren't you going to consider leaving me here tonight?"

His expression looked like he was begging for mercy, but as a man in his thirties, no matter how he looked at it, he was unable to stop himself from laughing.

Song Zixiu also smiled, but pretended to be wronged and said, "It seems like I won't have a chance tonight."

As the competition on TV ended, Song Zixiu suddenly asked, "Can you take two days off during the weekend?"

"Why do you ask?"

"I've heard that the nearby Danba is a holiday resort. I haven't been there yet, so I wanted to invite Miss Kovir, who has been in Edinburgh for a long time, to come with me. I just don't know if you would appreciate my offer."

"If it's two days on the weekend, are we still going to stay the night there?"

Song Zixiu replied matter-of-factly, "If we go to a holiday place like that, wouldn't it be meaningless to stay the night?"

She had been in Edinburgh for three years and knew that Demba was a good place. She remembered that Little Mei had been there more than once and said it was fun. However, when she thought of sleeping alone with Song Zixiu, she started to feel conflicted. As for the fact that she didn't need to take a leave of absence if she wanted to leave during the weekend, she could just find a waiter she was familiar with and change shifts. So it all depended on whether she wanted to go or not.

Song Zixiu saw through her thoughts and said with a smile, "Don't worry, I won't do anything to you."

In addition, she really wanted to go to that place, so she didn't hesitate any longer, "Alright, then we'll go together."

After receiving her accurate reply, Song Zi Xiu didn't say anything else and left.

The night was fine, the moon was bright and the stars were dim, the night was cool.

Song Zixiu waved at her, but didn't forget to remind her, "We'll see each other again on the weekends. Lu Kewei, good night."

Lu Kewei was stunned as he replied, "Song Zixiu, goodbye." The villain in his heart raised his head again and cursed: Bastard, do you know what good night means? For some inexplicable reason, the feeling of a little deer running amok once again appeared in her heart.

The next day at work, Lu Kewei went to find the local girl he had a good relationship with to change shifts with Grey, because he was easy to talk to. In the past, when Grey had something to do with changing shifts with her, he always agreed without a word.

However, when there were only two of them, Grey hooked his arm over her shoulder and gave her an ambiguous wink. "It's rare for you to be so absent from work, isn't it related to that Z Country man?"

Grey had long noticed Song's and Lu Kewei's seemingly nonchalant exchange of looks and conversations. She was both curious and happy that Lu Kewei had finally started to get involved in the male and female affairs. She couldn't wait for the lone Lu Kewei to fall in love earlier.

Kroft did not answer her directly, but his slightly flushed cheeks explained everything. Gray laughed and pinched her cheek, then said naughtily, "With your appearance, if I were a man, I would also like it. "Alright, I won't joke around with you anymore. I'll try my best to make some progress this time."

Lu Kewei did not pay attention to her teasing. Instead, he was looking forward to this trip more and more.
