C17 Prison Cell

Sheila’s POV

I walked inside the house which was now like a prison cell for me, and met fiery eyes looking at me I cringed at first but backed up again.

“Is it not the whore of the neighborhood that just walked in? Are you done whoring and you decided to show your stinky face here?” she said.

“What have you being through that I don't know? why are you so hateful? why do you say such harsh words? who are they meant for but you can not say to them that you are raining them on me?” I asked.

She looked taken aback but I continued.

“I'm sorry that someone has deceived you so much that you cannot help but be unrighteous, I would have said those words but herk I don't care anymore to hell with you and your harsh tongue. ”

I said.

“What? what!! What!! did you just say?” she didn't know what to say anymore.

I've had a long day old woman and I will like to be excused. ” I said.

Her face looked as if she had just caught her husband on bed with another woman, 'speechless' that's the word. God I was pleased that the first time in my life I had the last word. I walked into the security room, which was now my room but I came back to look at her still frozen at the place I left her.

“Woman, I have graduated high school three times already so I plan to stop schooling from today onwards I will go out and look for a job to find money for college. ” I said and continued.

“Since you never want to see me there, I am now determined to break your wish. Love you!! goodnight. ” I said sarcastically.

“Sheila you come back here, you are never going to make it to college you hear me? ” she said.

“Well its good to hear my name from your lips but why can't I go is it because you never made it there? What have you being saying that it is because of me? cut the crab ma you weren't smart just get that and you will be OK. ” I said.

Before I could say more she pulled a belt from her back, gosh I didn't see that coming I thought. I couldn't make a run from it landed on my face before I could know it. I cried out

“Ahh ma please stop. ”

“You witch how could you say such words to me? how dare you? I will have you killed today. ”

she hit me continuously, I his my face with my hands but I couldn't protect my back and arms, she hit me with all her strength and I knew the marks were not going to disappear in no time. I had enough so I held the belt and rushed inside the room a crying mess because I was still in the party dress, it was like hitting my skin even in the dress. I wanted to regret what I said to her but how could I ? when she has been nothing but what I said? 'so hateful’

“Please God .....chan...ge my mo...ther for me I don't know how long I can withstand such hate from my mother, plea...se give me stre..ngth and love to over...come this situa...tion and .....please forgive me my sins for what I did and said to...day” I cried as I prayed.

When I quietened down for a while I heard someone knock on my door.

‘mother will never knock so is it at this time.’ I thought

I became so afraid that I starting trembling.

“Who... who... who is that at the door?” I asked.

The person didn't answer so I became afraid, I jumped when I heard the knock once more. So I asked again.

“Please... who ...is at ....the...door?”

“Sarah it's me Ben open up. ” said the person at the door.

“What do you want Ben?” I asked

“I have something to tell you. ” he said.

“Me? talk with Ben? what could it be?” I murmured.
