C25 Innocence

Sheila’s POV.

I sat there looking at the man like a glutton who has seen her favorite food, I wanted to ask questions but to who? so I turned to Ben and asked,

“Why? why did she have to do that to me?”

He shook his head sadly, why is he sad?

“Hey why are you looking sad what’s wrong with you do you have to be sad about this small issue?” I asked.

He looked at me, and said don't cry its going to be alright. I looked at him as if he was some silly person why is he saying I'm crying. King hands came to my face and I pulled back.

“What is wrong with you guys what's with the sad face?” I asked.

King removed a handkerchief from his pocket, to clean my eyes this time I let him.

‘Its not like I'm crying anyway' I thought.

“Uncle you will still give her the scholarship right? you already know her results. ” said king.

“Yes but her mother will have to agree, she's her guardian after all. ” said his uncle.

“I will be her guardian from now onwards. ” said Ben.

“Remember she is part of the board, she's a shareholder, we can't have her in the school without her knowledge. ” said his uncle.

“What's her share in the school?” asked King.

“She has three percent of the shares. ” said his uncle.

“No problem you know what to do. " said king.

“You mean...” his uncle was saying.

“Yes I will call you, in fact we will take our leave first have her admitted by tomorrow and follow me up. ” said king.

I was busy crying that I couldn't ask them what they were talking about. I had my head sited on his chest as I was sobbing I didn't realize what I was doing before he tapped my shoulders and said.

“Let's go princess. ”

“I ain't no princess do I look like a princess to you? Is that how a princess is treated? ” I asked agitatedly.

“No if you are nobody's princess but how about being my queen?” asked king.

“Can you be ever serious?” I asked.

“I don't joke around dear if it comes to you trust me I'm being honest here. ” said king.

“OK you guys stop showing your love here I need to go home to my wife go and continue home. ” said his uncle.

“Uncle can you stop spoiling my case and mood, I was busy with my proposal right now. ” said king.

“Hahaha you were actually proposing now? what kind of proposal is that?” I asked my mood a little lightened.

He looked at me and smiled and said.

“God I will kill to see you laugh like that, do you have diamonds in your teeth? I want to steal them. ” said king.

“Why is it that I've heard someone say that to me?” I asked.

We walked out of the office with my hand in kings hand, I tried to retrieve it but every time he would rather tighten my hand, so I let it go.

“Sheila” called Ben

“huh?” I responded.

“Don't say anymore, she has had enough for today. ” said king.

“I was saying that you should take King's car because I need to be somewhere before going home I can't take you with me. ” said Ben.

“What? why? Okay I will go by myself after all I didn't come with you. I don't want to be home now so come and get me at Lydia's house on your way home. ” I said.

“Not on my watch that you will go home alone, I had told you we will go somewhere after here remember? ” said king.

“Yes but I thought Ben was coming with us. ” I said.

“No he isn't, I heard you hardly eat in your house so please will you join me for dinner?

First let's go to the car think about it on your way there. ” he said.

“She will, she has nowhere to be after all. ” said Ben.

‘Should I go or I shouldn't?’ I thought.

“This isn't a date is it? ” I asked.

“No it isn't just dinner promise. ” he said.

He looked so serious and promising,

‘what did this star see in me that made him interested in an ordinary girl like me? He couldn't have to be serious about me. He only wants to play with me. Men are like that they will just use and dump you, they are full of wickedness. I need to take my revenge and maybe I should start with him. A broken heart and a used body?
