C4 My Crush?

Life had never been the same after Daddy left, I heard muffled noises from my mother's room every other night. I didn't know if I had not given her the needed love she expects. Going out of the house had become a problem since then.

So I had limited myself to studies only, my friends said that I had become non approachable but it wasn't my fault, I didn't want them to be affected by my mood. When they deserved happiness solely mingling with them would only attract the opposite.

I laid in bed thinking about my studies and what I had been taught that day in school. I heard my phone ringing and I muttered,

Whoever it is, I am not going out of the house. ”

I swiftly turned and reached out for it from the bedside drawer. Then I saw it was actually Lucky my friend and classmate calling, I picked it up and answered.

“Hello Luck, how do you do?” I greeted.

“How do you do buddy. " he replied.

“This one that you are calling me after school what is it?” I asked curiously.

“It's actually not a big problem but I am having trouble answering some questions from our homework so would you mind to come over and help me with it?” He pleaded.

“Really Luck? you called me to come over to help you with your homework? you... what's with you? Don't you know that I don't come out of the house after school? ” I asked irritated.

“I knew you would say that but what if there's something in it for you?” He asked seriously.

“Whatever it is that is in for me isn't the problem, you are the one that needs my help with something. ” I replied.

“You are right but what if you get to meet your old crush?” Lucky asked teasingly.

‘My crush? Sheila? But she doesn't come out of the house just as me so is it in the garden of their house?’ I thought.

“Where will I meet her, in their garden?” I asked.

“No, she's coming to my house with Lydia as I am speaking with you. They might get here in about ten minutes, now it's left with you decide to decide on what you would do. I am going to hang up, see you sooner or never today. ” He revealed in a teasing voice.

And just like that, he hanged up on me before I could say anything else. I laid on the bed in war with myself, I didn't know whether I should go or not. Two minutes later and I jumped out of the bed and rushed to my mother's room.

I knocked on the door and she asked me to come in, I went to her and held her hands and said,

“Mom, I would want to go out for awhile and I will be back before you know it. ”

“I didn't even know you were in the house, why don't you go out at all? If it's because of me, don't worry about me. I will be fine okay? You can go out anytime you want. ” She agreed looking into my eyes as she spoke.

“Okay mommy, I will be back soon, I promise. ” I promised.

“Take your time son. ” She added.

I rushed out if the house with my bicycle and in five minutes I was by Lucky's door. I rang the bell and in seconds, he was in front of me. I peeked through the door but saw no one then released a heavy breath I didn't know I was holding.

“You are here earlier, they are not even here. ” He said with a smirk on his face.

“That was the plan, I didn't want her to know that I came here because she did. ” I said straightening my shirt.

“Smartass, let's go inside. ” He praised.

We went inside and I could relax myself, the bell was rang. I sat up immediately and looked at my attire but when Lucky opened the door, it was only Lydia by the door. I got up looked behind her but there was no one, Lydia greeted me but I was not there for greetings.

She entered the room yet still she hadn't come in so I walked towards the door angrily. I turned to Lucky and glared at him but there on his face was a smirk. It irritated me more and I turned to go but just like that, I felt a crash on my chest and then followed by a cry of pain.

“Ouch, that hurts. ”

I looked down and it was her sitting on the floor with one hand on her buttocks and the other holding her head. I extended my to help her up and she looked up at me just like that my heart....
