C6 You Friends?

Two people who liked each other spoke for a very long time, forgetting that time and tide waits for no man. When they realized the time, one didn't want to leave because he didn't know when he would meet her again while the other was panicking. She knew she had outstayed her purpose unknowingly and was afraid if what she was going to face in the house when she goes back. But the others saw her problem as nothing at all and tried convincing her to calm down.

“I can't go home now, look at the time its ten pm how will I go home? Unless I want my death. ” Sheila said in fear.

”Okay how about you come with me to my house and go back tomorrow?” Lydia suggested.

“That would have been great but then that would also mean, I couldn't go back home again. ” Sheila added.

“What's so dangerous about going to your own house? You have your mother and brother there. Look after you all are gone, I will be all alone in this house but see I am not complaining. ” Lucky quipped.

“You don't understand, this is my first time coming out of the house at six in the evening and going back at ten in the night. There's no way something is not going to happen. ” Sheila tried to make them understand.

“What if nothing happens?” Aaron inquired.

“That wouldn't happen trust me, I know what I am talking about. ” Sheila insisted.

“The worst to happen is that she is going to shout at you right? then you can ignore her as if she was a mad person. ” Lucky suggested.

“That could have been okay but it will only ignite her anger the more. But I believe that is the least to happen, do you know why I was in that situation before?” Sheila asked Lydia.

“I wouldn't know since you haven't told me. ” Replied Lydia.

“Well, I better get going, time is not stopping as I sit here. It keeps moving right? ” Sheila said biting her lower lip.

She stood up to go but Aaron held her hands tightly unconsciously and didn't want her to leave. Sheila looked back at him and his hand holding hers and he looked at the hand and he hurriedly left it.

She smiled nervously and bid them farewell, she left with Lydia who left her at her gate and went to her house.

Sheila stood at the gate trembling in fear and nervousness but then boldly knocked on the door but even after several knocks each other louder than the either, no one had opened it for her. She didn't know what was waiting for her indoors but then she became more afraid when she thought what if they never opened the gate for her what would happen to her.

She stood there in the cold with tears on her face and her hair messed up, she started jumping to see if the gate man was around but saw that he had also gone to sleep.

‘I guess he thought I was inside all that while, Abu please open up. ’ She thought crying.

Then an idea came into mind, she gathered stones and moved further away from the door and with started throwing the stones at the door as loud as she could manage. At every throw she looked around her in fear, it was after her fifth hit that she saw the door squeak open with the gateman drowsily with a gun in his hand looking at her.

“Is that you Ella? what are you doing our here at this time? I didn't see you going out. ” the gateman inquired.

“I didn't see you on my way out too. ” She answered.

She rushed past him into the house and breathed heavily as she let herself fall on the ground supported by the wall.

The gateman closed the door and looked at her, he shook his head slowly and asked,

“Where did you go? You have never gone out of the house after school not to talk of coming at this time. ”

“I went to see some friends. ” She answered as she kept beating her chest.

“You ... friends? ” The gateman asked astonished.
