Fu Yuanxi glanced down at his drink, a slight smile playing on his lips. The moment he stumbled upon her, he recognized her almost instantly. Some people, no matter the distance, are destined to meet, and he never doubted that.

He looked up at Chu Tian, recalling what Shen Di had mentioned in the hallway earlier. He then spoke to Chu Tian, "Mr. Chu, I think I need a break. How about you show me to the second floor?"

Given the late hour, the suggestion seemed perfectly reasonable. Chu Tian immediately stood up, "I apologize for not considering this sooner. You just arrived in town today, Young Master Fu, and must be exhausted. Please, follow me."

Chu Tian was still uneasy about today's events. He had been confident of success but underestimated Fu Yuanxi. Tonight, he had hoped his daughter, Lege, would make a move. “Ms. Di sent it over.”

The expert hacker began decoding immediately. These card-swipe locks and digital locks were no match for him. The lock was quickly bypassed, and Shen Di took the slip of paper from the scanner, placing it at the card reader. The door clicked open.

Entering the room, she heard the sound of running water from the bathroom. Jiaang Guoxiong was showering. This should have been his most vulnerable moment, yet Shen Di felt an indescribable sense of danger. Her years of experience told her something was off!
