C19 I'll Accompany You to the End

Looking at Jiang Guoxiong lying unconscious on the ground, Shen Di spoke calmly, "Thanks for the help!"

Fu Yuanxi raised an eyebrow, "In that case, shouldn't I be thanking you too? After all, you saved me here in this place. And five years ago, you saved me then too."

Hearing Fu Yuanxi bring this up, Shen Di's expression darkened. She crouched down, removed Jiang Guoxiong's gloves, took his fingerprints, and then shot him in the head. She then placed the gun in the hand of the unconscious Chu Tian.

"This thank you is on behalf of those in the hospital. With Jiang Guoxiong gone, no one in Yaocheng can threaten you anymore!"

This was always a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Fu Yuanxi raised an eyebrow slightly, then looked at the mask on Shen Di's face with a hint of a smile. "I wonder if Miss Shen is interested in the resort project."

Shen Di was taken aback, her eyes widening as she looked at Fu Yuanxi. "Young Master Fu, are you trying to tempt me?"

Fu Yuanxi nudged another man, not Chu Tian, with his foot, then turned and walked outside. Shen Di took a careful look around the room before following him.

Once outside, Fu Yuanxi leaned against the wall, speaking to Shen Di with a touch of flirtation, "If seduction works, I suppose I could give it a try too!"

After saying goodbye to a few friends, she decided to return to her family home. Fortunately, her father hadn't come back yet, sparing her some stress.

She slept dreamlessly through the night.

The next morning, as soon as she got up, she opened her laptop. Sure enough, there was news about Chu Tian shooting someone named Jiang Guoxiong. Almost immediately, details of Jiang's criminal activities began to surface online.

The Chu family was hit hard by the news. Chu Tian denied the murder, and despite the evidence, there wasn't enough to convict him. As for witnesses...

The person who was supposed to testify, one of Jiang's associates, was so scared that he fled. Even if he had testified, his credibility would have been questionable.

Jiang was released on bail just an hour after being taken in, thanks to his lawyer.

Chu Tian had no idea why he suddenly blacked out, nor why he woke up accused of murder. Now, there was no way to undo what had happened, so he had to plan his next steps carefully.

He thought there might be a turning point, but when Jiang's crimes were exposed, his associates were quickly put on the wanted list. Everyone blamed Chu Tian, and on his way back from the police station, he was involved in a fatal car accident.

After the Chu family tragedy, only Chu Tian's daughter was left. Jiang Guoxiong's men achieved their goal but were caught at the border between Yaocheng and Qiangcheng. They faced either prison or a bullet.

Overnight, Chu Lege matured, taking on the responsibility of the Chu business, attending countless meetings, and pulling the company back from the brink of bankruptcy.

However, the good times didn't last. Just as everything seemed to be back on track, the police uncovered evidence of massive drug deals between Chu Tian and Jiang Guoxiong. The Chu business was seized and declared bankrupt.

Chu Lege, unaware of these dealings, wasn't legally liable and subsequently disappeared.

But that's a story for another time.
