I opened my eyes and saw my dad still driving. The only sound could be heard was of the car "How long will it take ?" I ask .

"Mostly 3 hours. ..not more dear " he replied. I had a bad feeling about running away but nothing bad has happened yet

That means he doesn't know we were out of the city ..Thank God for that .

As soon as we left the house my dad decided to go to the old one ...its only been 2 hours.

I sigh .I needed some thing in my stomach.

"Can we stop somewhere. ...i am hungry " i said .He sigh

"Alright ...i am too ...let see if we can find a restaurant " After sometime we came near one .He parked the car and we made our way in the small restaurant .

It was a simple one ...hardly any people there .

The only people i could see was a old lady at the corner and two waiters .We sat near the window ready to order ."Hello ...what would you like to have ?" The waiter asked ."I'll have pasta ..with herbs " Dad said .

The waiter looks at me ..

"Burger with French fries. ...and can you add some salad in it ?" He nodded and wrote it down "Anything else ?"

"Water " my dad said .He nodded and walked away .

"How do you know him dad ?" I asked .

My question seemed sudden as he went stiff .

"When we came here .....the first day of my job ....it was good ...until this man walks in ...threatened my boss .I asked who was he to one of my colleagues. they said he was a feared man .he is a mafia leader ,ran many illegal businesses , also ran many companies he would buy shares and eventually make the manager fall in his games when people took money from him he would add interest and double it there are many ways he earned money ...illegal , legal. ....kill "

I gasped

"Is ...is ...he ..killed people ?" I asked Dad nodded

"Once you get involved with these people ...you can't run away .." Tears swelled up in my eyes ..but i blinked them away ."He even owns the school you are in "

"What ?" It wasn't a question. .....i somehow already knew it that's why is saw him on the school grounds. "I don't understand as to why did he show interest in you " I looked down ..

"Here's your meal ...enjoy " the waitress said keeping our plates with water .

I smiled and she smiled back ."Thank you " my dad muttered .We dig in our food .

I was half way done eating mine when dad spoke .

"Did he touch you in anyway ?" I looked up with the tomato still on my fork .

Yes ...He did

"No ...he didn't " i reply. I saw dad sigh in relief.

I heard the door of the restaurant open .It was visible to me ....i noticed two men dressed in all black with suits.I have a bad feeling about this .

No no ...he wouldn't know where we were ...besides. ..he doesn't even know we left yet .

Dad was done with his food and was busy in his phone ...I was having the last bite of my salad ...I felt someone's stare on me I look at my right ..

The two men were looking straight at me

I whipped my head to the plate . This was a bad idea , stopping here was a bad idea

"What are you two doing here " i heard the waitress ask them ."None of your concern " one of the man said ."Whatever he does IS my concern. ...now tell why the hell are you here ?"

Did she know them ? Were they ...send by Roman ? No no ..it can't be .

I took some water in my mouth. ..my eyes drifted to the waitress walking ..with her eyes on me .

I frowned. ..She suddenly looked away .

"Are you done ?" Dad asked .

"Huh ...um ya .." he nodded .He was about to called for the waiter when we both jumped hearing the tray being banged on our tabled My dad and i looked up to see the waitress. She slowly picked up our glasses .

"Are you two running away from someone ?" I almost chocked on my spit .

Dad was looking at her wide eyed .

"Answer me " she whispered still picking up our plates and clearing the mess "Y-yes " i answered

"Out ...now ...they are Roman's men ...you have to go quickly " Dad kept some money on the table as we practical ran out of the restaurant in the car .

He speeds up to the road .I was so fazed by all this ...i never knew we were now a mile ahead of the restaurant .The road was empty ..

When i was finally feeling safe again ...suddenly the brakes were applied as me and my dad both were pushed forward due to the force .

Thank god the seat belts were on .

I looked at dad to see if he was all right ...he was ..but his eyes were trained ahead in horro .My eyes slowly went ahead ...There was a car...right ahead of us ..blocking our way .Dad tried to reverse the car but ..there was another one behind us .

Oh no ...No.

"Stay here ....sweet pea it's alright. .i promise i'll keep you safe " dad said ...

I was about to stop him but he was already out .

"Dad!!!" I called out but he shuts the door .Two men step out of the car .

My eyes went wide ..my breathing increase as i saw that thing ...A gun ..They both were having guns ..They were pointing it at my dad

It happened so fast .The bullet going out ..

Me running out of the car ..Screaming to my lungs .But dad didn't get hurt . It was a warning shot .Dad hugged me tight.....as i sobbed .

He was pulled away from me as i screamed to let him go .

My cries were heard by all of them but me .The man held a gun of dad's head .

"NOOOOO ...PLEASE PLEASE. ...LET HIM GO !!"

I cried ...begged for them to leave him .

I kept on repeating 'please ' until a cloth was placed on my mouth .

I struggled. ...struggled till my body almost gave up .I tried to hold my breathing but couldn't. ..I finally took it in .Sliding down my body hits the ground.

"That's right baby breath " My eyes went wide .It was him .He was there ...watching us from the beginning. He was with us ....all the way out .

"Breath babygirl ...everything is gonna be fine ...i love you so much "

Tears ran down my cheeks and my moments finally gave in .

I felt kisses on my neck before i blacked out

DAD

My eyes opened ...they sting.My throat was dry as hell .I sat up and looked around.

I was in a big white room with grey curtains.

My eyes windend as i recollected the events of last night .

I began to panic. ..My dad ...those men .

Roman .

My exhausted body couldn't move ..

Pain filled my head as well as my heart

I lost my mom ...I lost my dad ..

I'll lose myself .
