Red was standing by the door, unable to move. Her mind wouldn't accept that William was going to die. Martha threw the green leaves away and placed a fresh towel on his wounds, sighing loudly.

"Listen to me, Red. There’s nothing else I can do for him. William has a strong soul, but that doesn't mean he’ll survive this," Martha said, and then she left Red alone
