C2 CHAPTER 1

Alpha Alec Romero, the Alpha of Dark Moon Pack located at the east part of Vinizia City. He was the only one among the four Alphas in the city who still don't have a wife—a Luna.

They even tease him sometimes when the three other Alpha's of the South, East and West when they're together to have a party because he is the only Alpha who has not been with a woman who will be the Luna of his territory and who will be his mate for life. Actually, Alec was not in a hurry about that, he was confident that the Moon Goddess reserved him a woman he wants to be part of his life until he died.

His friends were really in too much of a hurry about it. Since his friends had found their Luna early, and since he was the only one without it and because of that they were teasing him. But sometimes he thought, what if he was the one to find her? What if he made a way for them to meet? It's not that his friends are testing him , but he thought what if he did that? What if he do that, he can eventually found her?

"Alpha Alec," he heard his Gamma David, call as he entered his office.

It's a normal day for them to report to him.

"Report,"

"It's not a report, Alpha Alec, the Alpha and Luna of the South are here." After David say those words, the two quickly went inside, and Gamma left them from there.

Alec looked at his friend and his Luna without any emotion on his face, but the emotion he saw in the two was the opposite, they were both smiling as if they had something bad to do. it's not funny that they actually came here just to tease him again.

"What are you doing here? Do you need anything?" he said in a serious tone of his voice.

He didn't even bother telling the two to sit in the empty seats in front of his table because they immediately sat there.

"Bud, where just visiting you okay? Is that bad?" His friend Alpha from the South, Alpha Timothy, said with a laugh.

"Of course, Alec, won't you welcome us here?" Added by his friends wife, the Luna of the South, Luna Haley.

He just shook his head in response to these two. Even though these two are no longer welcome because they are almost in and out of his territory as if they were citizens of the Dark Moon Pack. But the pack members already know this so they didn't tell him anymore, but because Gamma and Beta are also watching over what's happening inside of his territory, they're the ones who tells him if there is a new visitor or not.

He sighed before answering, "Do you still want me to use the red carpet for the two of you?"

"Yes! We loved that! Right, Honey?" Haley happily exclaimed to her husband next to her and he immediately nodded, going along with his wife's trip.

They laughed while looking at him. How can he finish what he was doing if there are people like these troublemakers in his office.

"Oh, Haley, you said you wanted to try to cook pancakes right?" Alpha Timothy asked his wife and she nodded.

He saw Haley looking at him in the corner of his eyes. He knew she was gonna ask if she could use his kitchen downstairs... again.

"Yes you can use it. But Haley, please..." he looked at her and based on the look he was giving her, she already knew what he meant.

"Okay! Okay! I promise! I'll never burn your kitchen!" Haley rolled her eyes at him which made him laugh.

Haley said goodbye to the both of them. When she finally left, her and Timothy's serious face returned. Timothy came and sat in the chair in front of his table.

"Do you have any lead what happened in the past week?" he asked.

He answered him by shaking his head. Timothy frowned because of what he answered. "What do you mean?"

"William hasn't told me anything yet, I've been waiting for a week but he still hasn't sent me anything yet."

"One week is too long, Alec," He looked at him, he could read the impatience on his face.

"I know, but I can't do anything about it, Tim. It's not easy to find who they are because those people left no trace. They just left a very faint of their smell, and nothing more." Alec explained.

Timothy looked at him like, "Aren't they Rogues?"

"Tim, you know Rouge's is a wild one's. They're the dumbest kind of human shapeshifters if they're going to attack us inside of the City." After Alec said that, Timothy closed his eyes and leaned back on the chair, as if he was very tired because of what was happening.

It's not just obvious on his face when he's with his wife because he knows Timothy doesn't want to worry his wife. But as an Alpha, he need to do everything. He need to know any kind of information about those unknown people that create chaos inside of his territory.

"We need to wait Tim, if they're not going to attack anyone so we don't need to move. And if they attack, that's the reason we need to attack too."

"But... why did they come to my territory? Vinizia City is so peaceful so why? Why they need to do that? Those fucking bastards."

"Easy, Bud. We just need to wait for William or Orion to report, anytime they're going to call us so don't worry." And then he patted his shoulder.

After a while someone knocked from the glass door of Alec's office, they saw Beta Felix and when he nodded, the Beta immediately entered the room.

"What is it?" Alec asked his Beta.

He saw on his face that he hesitated to speak, he turned to Timothy and then he looked at him.

"What?"

"The... Um... Alpha Alec, your kitchen downstairs..."

Alec, Timothy and Felix, the Beta of the Dark Moon Pack, rushed down to the kitchen. And they were equally stunned by the mess they found there. And there, they saw the Luna of the South screaming as she tried to put out the fire coming from the frying pan it was holding. When Alec looked around, he couldn't help but stare, the surroundings were so chaotic, as if a deluge had passed there.

On the other hand, the servants she-wolves were standing on the same side, their faces showing fear and trepidation as they watched the Luna of the South destroy Alec's kitchen. And when they saw Alpha Alec watching the Luna burn down his kitchen, they felt fear for Luna Haley.

"H-haley," Timothy stuttered to his wife. When Haley turned around, her eyes immediately widened in shock because she saw her husband and Alec who were now watching what she was doing.

She let go of the spoon she was holding, when it fell to the floor she was startled by the noise it created.

Haley looked at the three again, and especially at Alec who now knew he was not happy because of what she had done. Haley looked at him, she wanted to say sorry for what she had done but Alec was the one to confront her, asking if she was okay or she'll hurt by burning the kitchen or by cooking the pancakes.

Timothy didn't do anything about what his wife did because they immediately said goodbye to Alec, he also want to talk to his wife about what he did in his friends kitchen.

Alec just let the two leave, he didn't waste time and immediately had the servants she-wolves clean the kitchen. If they see that they can still use the other things that Haley used, don't throw them away, but when there are things that can no longer be used, throw it away.

Alec returned to the office again and as he sat down where he was sitting earlier, he touched his forehead, his head was still aching after seeing what Haley did there. One of his favorite places inside his house is the kitchen, so he wasn't happy when he saw what happened to it earlier. But he couldn't do anything, he couldn't be angry with Timothy's wife.

They're friends, but, this time, he'll never, ever, want anyone near the kitchen except for those she-wolves who are preparing the food for them.

"What do you want me to do, Alpha?" Felix ended the silence that was hovering inside Alec's office.

If he hadn't come and told the Alpha and Timothy, Luna's husband, the kitchen would probably have burned down by now.

"I want you to do something for me," he said to Felix. "I will give you permission to go to the North, tell Alpha William if there's any news about the attack at the South, if there's one, just call Timothy and report to him. I need to do something out of the territory tomorrow. And another one, tell David that he needs to go to the West too, and please do what I say." he ordered here.

The Beta immediately followed and left his office. He leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes again remembering what Haley had done in his kitchen, she had done that several times and she never seemed to get tired of doing it.

He was in the middle of thinking whether if he need to banned Hailey to go to his kitchen if she wants to visit here or not, he felt like if she want to go here again, she might really burn the whole house because of her clumsiness. He sighed and after that when he felt his cellphone ringing in front of him, he picked it up to see who called and it was Timothy.

He sighed again before answered it. "Hello, Tim? Is there a problem?"

"Dude... I'm so sorry for what happened earlier... I'm so sorry. I didn't know that Haley will going to do it again..." it was obvious in his voice that he was ashamed of what his wife had done a while ago.

Timothy was always like this when Haley did that, and he knew exactly what he was going to say next. "I'm going to send you the new utensils to replace the ones my beautiful wife broke,"

"I didn't broke anything!" he heard Haley scream. "and stop telling that I'm beautiful!"

Even though she was far from the phone, he could still hear her voice.

"Whether you broke it or not, you still broke it." Tim answered. "And I'll call you beautiful because you really are beautiful and there's nothing else you can do about it."

"No! I said I'm not! You liar!

"Don't mind him, Alec. And I'm gonna hang up now, I need to talk to Haley..."

"Yeah, you should send the new utensils that you said, so I can forgive you," he said to him and he just heard him laugh.

"Yeah, yeah. Bye." After he hung up, he suddenly closed his eyes from exhaustion.

It suddenly occurred to Alec that something was still missing, something was still missing to provide the needs of his citizens, it was still missing and he needed to add more. But what does he have to do to fill the lack he feels? He didn't know either.

He didn't mind either.

The older citizens of his territory have also told him that the only thing missing is his Luna, his future mate and the child who will be his heir.

His Luna and a small child. A Family.

But if this is what the Moon Goddess wants for him, that's what he should do.

"My Luna and our pup? That's not bad."
