I groaned as I felt a throbbing pain in my neck.

It was not the usual discomfort from stiff necks, but more of trauma from being hit by something hard or injected by something sharp.

It's sore and it stings once touched.

I jerked my hand, the right one that absentmindedly went up to try and soothe the pain, away from my neck, and struggled my way to sit on the bed
