C4 Chapter Four

It's a brand-new day. The rays of the early sunlight lit up the streets of Oshine kingdom and brought a pearly glow to the sky as the chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in.

Now it was time for Josiah to finally exit the Oshine Kingdom with high expectations. First, he outlived the scare, and now he's floating in a pool of morale that sooner, Oshine kingdom will be nothing but history when he finally heads back to Alpha Gideon.

"May the goddess enrich your land for the hospitality exhibited towards me. I was never in doubt about your hospitality. Most Kingdoms often downplay your generosity, but I must admit; the love and care you showed a total stranger like me are extraordinary. I wish to return with my people some time to appreciate you formally,” Josiah heaped compliments on Alpha George and swept him off his feet.

"It's my pleasure to assist. Trust me, we are good people. What you heard about us wasn't valid. We hope you could stay back to witness the coronation,” Alpha George stated as he was adoring Josiah's company.

"I would have loved to, but I've got a long journey ahead of me.” Josiah politely declined. This was the ideal moment to ambush the Kingdom. Staying for a prolonged time might raise suspicion and reveal his true identity.

Alpha George retreated and instructed his guards to chaperone Josiah to the bush path to proceed with his journey. Stressed relived! After arriving at the bush path, Josiah pretended to be heading in the opposite direction to convince the guards. Immediately they went out of sight, he returned to the river and boarded a boat heading back to Nyria kingdom.

"I thought you'd never returned.” Andrew teased him from afar and rushed to welcome Josiah.

"Well, I'm here now. I've got news for the Alpha. We've got to prepare now. We can't afford to miss the opportunity,” Josiah replied as they rode back to Nyria kingdom on Andrew's horse. Andrew would have driven in his car, but the route seemed complicated.

As if Alpha Gideon already knew Josiah would return. He has already summoned the elders but this time, at his palace. There was nothing to conceal anymore. He wished for his people to be kept abreast of the intending war.

"Greetings my Lord. I bring us good news from Oshine kingdom which might interest us all,” Josiah bowed before Alpha Gideon and the elders.

"Raise and speak, the goddess is with you,” Alpha Gideon gave consent as everyone paid attention to what Josiah had to say. He talked endlessly while they listened tirelessly.

Alpha Gideon was so excited. This was the best news he's ever heard in a long time. He had already celebrated their victory even before the commencement of the war. Alpha Gideon stood up from his throne, wandered around his palace, and pointed at a few guards, including Andrews, with straight orders, “Go prepare the men and the barbaric werewolves for war. It's time for the barbaric werewolves to repay our kindness with their loyalty and cooperation. We match into the Oshine Kingdom in a few minutes. Victory is ours!” He roared like a lion and returned to his chambers for further preparations.

Unknown to him, his Luna, Zendaya, had been keeping an eye on him lately and already discovered about the war. She was yearning for a better opportunity to confront him, and she figured this was the perfect opportunity. She hurriedly stood in front of Gideon and attempted to stop him from going outside. He peeked at her with so much disdain and chuckled,

“What's the meaning of this madness? I don't have the luxury of patience for this nuisance. I've got business to attend to,”

"Maybe you should tell me. Why are you trying to wage war against the Oshine Kingdom? What crime have they committed, my Lord? Answer me!” She yelled at her mate and stood firmly at the door entrance, obstructing his entrance.

"You want to know, right? Okay, I'll tell you. This Kingdom is blessed beyond measure. It's no news that other neighboring countries like Yyphria, Zimblane, Yazuma, and Usharia envy us. Recently, I obtained vital information from a reliable source that the Oshine Kingdom is plotting to take over our land and enslave our women. Or would you rather become a slave that warms Alpha George's bed every night, huh? Remember that night I woke up and screamed? I had a terrible nightmare about the war. I saw it coming. The goddess has revealed the danger ahead and If we don't act fast, the Nyria kingdom might cease to exist. Wake up and smell the coffee, darling,” Alpha Gideon further explained and laughed uncontrollably.

Despite the explanation, Luna Zendaya wasn't finding it interesting. She's yet to understand the reason for the war. To her, it's not but an attack against an innocent Land. She frowned at it and reminded how her mate, Alpha Gideon annihilated many countries, took their lands to his possession, and enslaved their people.

"Don't be so quick to forget that those atrocities made you rich. Without them, you'd never be this powerful and influential. Well, karma is a bitch. You are scared that tragedy would befall your kingdom, too?” She provoked her mate and was rewarded with a slap on the face. She succeeded in pushing him to the wall. “Watch your tongue, woman. Now, if you'd excuse me, I've got somewhere to be. Keep an eye on my Jayden,” Alpha Gideon issued and departed to Oshine kingdom with his men and the barbaric werewolves.

Alpha Gideon and his army finally descended upon Oshine kingdom and caught them unawares, just like Josiah had foreseen. Alpha George knew his time was up. He was powerless and couldn't do anything to protect his nation. But what he couldn't accept is witnessing his beloved princess dying by his side. Without hesitation, he mandated Ariel to escape and never return. She refused and wanted to be by his side forever. She was unable to stand and watch her father being killed like a chicken. After much persuasion, she finally agreed and sneaked out of the battlefield unnoticed.

Nyria's army alongside the barbaric werewolves finally succeeded in killing Alpha George, and his Luna and slaughtered every male wolf in the country without sparing a soul, before capturing the women to enslave them.

In one day, the once beautiful and serene country of Oshine fell into ruins. With pain and agony, Ariel watched life sniff away from her beloved parents. “Father!” She shouted and ran away. Her scream alerted Alpha Gideon and instructed his men to go search for her. He wanted to ensure that Alpha George's clan was wiped out.

Andrew with some barbaric werewolves ran after Princess Ariel immediately, but they lost track of her. It was too late already. She was gone. Long gone to Zimblane, a country known to be a land of omegas and slaves. She vowed to take revenge. She vowed to return to Nyria kingdom and wipe out the entire family of Alpha Gideon, no matter how long it takes.
