C12 CHAPTER 12

MEGHAN's POV

I woke up early. The truth is I didn't sleep all night and remember what happened last night, how Gov will feed me! How he disgusted my body in my bed! So I picked up the blanket that was scattered on the floor of my room and immediately put it on.

Gov suddenly moved out of bed. I immediately went out when he fell asleep again. I need to escape here. I need to get out of this hellish house.

I was surprised that I didn't find any maids when I got down. They are on vacation. That's why I also got out quickly. I saw the guard busy inside the guardhouse. I promptly went there. He went inside, and I had a chance to get out. I slowly opened the gate. When I came out, I saw him looking at me and running. I quickly ran to the highway.

"Taxi!" I shouted at the oncoming taxi and waved.

It stopped, and I entered for the second time.

"Man, please, leave it here!" I said nervously.

The driver followed me. I breathed a sigh of relief as we got away from the Village. The pain in my thighs. I remember again the misery he did to me last night.

"You bastard! Demon!"

I whispered. I thought all the kindness Gov showed was genuine! By the way. He just took my heart to get what he wanted!

I cried, looking out the window.

I'm so dirty, and I will never forget it all. Lucas needs to pay for everything!

"Let's go straight to the police station," I said to the driver.

I was about to pick up my phone when I realized I was not carrying a phone. I had left my phone on the table! I only bring money here.

We arrived at the police station in a few hours. The mess of my hair went inside.

"Sir! Please help!" I shrieked as I approached them. They looked at me and approached.

"What can we do to help?" the policeman said.

"I-I was raped!" I cried and told them that they were surprised.

"Sit down first, Ma'am," said of a police officer to me.

I sat down trembling.

"What happened? Who did that to you?" he asked calmly.

"Governor Lewis! He raped me last night!" I said, trembling with fear in my chest.

The four of them looked at each other before looking at me.

"Wait, aren't you are the Governor's daughter? Ms. Meghan Lewis?" I was surprised by the speaker—a policeman who had just arrived.

"I-I am! Everything I said is true! He raped me!" I said tearfully.

They looked at each other again. I know what the look the police gave to me and did not believe it!

"What I'm saying is true! Why don't you believe and investigate that?!" I asked them.

"Miss, do you know it is bad to lie? He can sue you for what you say," said a policeman who was quite earlier.

"Sir, please! I'm telling the truth! He raped me!" I insist on them.

"Why are you doing this, Ms. Meghan? Doesn't the Governor love you so much? You can ruin him everything you accuse!"

He is familiar. I saw him, but I don't know where it is.

"I would not have complained if he had not raped me! Believe me!" I told them.

It looks like no one still believes me because they seem to have heard nothing and just kept writing what.

"Okay, Miss, we'll just call you." a police officer said.

I could do nothing but come out and agree with what they said. I know, Lucas! He holds the whole people by the neck here! I can't report to another station because they won't hear that either.

I just sat outside the police station. I'm so dirty.

What am I going to do?

I turned my eyes around when something struck my eyes. From here, I saw three men. they were wearing black. Sunglasses and black cups! I stood up when I saw where they were going, where I am!

I quickly ran into a lot of people. Fortunately, I am here in town!

"There!" I heard a man shout and also sprinted to chase me.

I just ran a run. There is chaos here in town. I saw that the black men were still chasing me from afar. I did not stop running. I got on the highway. But I was stopped when I saw some black people as they were crossing. I have no choice. I hurried to the oncoming taxi. Fortunately, he stopped, so I got on board right away.

"Please hurry up!" I said while looking outside.

I saw that they were still running while looking for me.

Gov will not stop until I get it! I can only ask one person for help.

"Girl! Oh, my Gosh! What happened to you?" bewildered Sapphire said as she let me into their house.

"Hey! Are you okay? Why is your hair like that? You look like you--"

"H-he raped me ..." I stammered.

I couldn't take it anymore, and I just cried in front of her.

She stopped.

"G-girl ..." she hugged me to calm me down.

"H-he's driving me away! He's making me sick! I'm dirty." I cried.

"W-what happened?" she sounded unbelievable.

I took a deep breath before I told the story. I to Sapphire everything he did to me.

"G-girl ... S-sorry, I want to help you, but you know Tito is strong. I can't handle him," she said sadly.

"I understand; he's dirty to play! He controls people!" I said while wiping away the tears.

I need to getaway. Because I know I won't stop until Lucas gets me.

"I-I need to get rid of Sapp. I need to escape him," I said in pain.

He seemed to be thinking.

"Girl, I can't help you imprison Tito. But I can help you hide until you think of away," she even said that my mind was confused.

"At the beach house. Dad's family has a beach house in Batangas. Tito doesn't know that for sure you are safe there," she says.

"Let's think about how we can imprison him. How we can get solid evidence," Sapphire added.

I breathed a sigh of relief at what she said. Finally, I will not think about where I will live temporarily.

"Thank you, girl!" I just hugged her in gratitude.

"I'll send you to my driver there. He knows that, so be careful! Call me right away when you get there. Be careful!" he said and hugged me.

I got in their car to take the driver away.

"You take care of my cousin, ah? Don't leave her no matter what happens," she said and smiled.

The driver just smiled at her before going inside. He has already started driving. I just watched out the window. I'm scared.

I know him, and he is not just casual. He is powerful, so it will be difficult for me to imprison and convince them.

When we got farther away, a thorn pulled my chest. I calmed down for a moment. But instead of turning around, I was surprised when the driver went straight.

"Sir? Aren't we in Batangas? Why did you go straight?" I asked.

"Ma'am, I noticed that black car had followed us from the Village earlier," he said, and I turned around. I was shocked to see a car. That was the car of Gov's staff! I saw the brand on the front of his car and the sticker there like a dragon snake. I don't know what that's logo is, but most of Gov's staff have that logo on the car!

"O-please hurry up! I-I know them! They are chasing me!" I said while looking back in confusion.

"Yes, Ma'am. I will mislead them," he said and stopped. The stoplight is red. There are many vehicles here.

I do not know how he got through the car following us earlier. I was just surprised that the car was no longer behind us.

"Hey! Thanks!" I breathed a sigh of relief, but I was still afraid that Gov's staff might follow us.

A few hours passed. We arrived at Sapphire's beach house. The driver also said goodbye after he had lunch here. We bought my new phone earlier when we passed by the Batangas mall.

"Ma'am Meghan, this is your room," a butler said happily here. They have three babysitters here who take care of this house.

I went in. The room is airy. After I fixed myself, I turned on my new phone. I have to blit Sapphire.

"Girl! How are you?" he said on the other line.

"We almost chased them, girl. Fortunately, Sir saw it, so we escaped," I told her.

"Don't worry, and I will also visit there once. I need to fix my company requirements," Sapp explained.

"It's an okay girl. Thank you very much." I said and smiled.

I also need to rest. I need to refresh my brain to think of a way to imprison him!
