"It is good that you have pleaded guilty. The laws of the country must not be disrupted. Considering how long you have worked for me, it will not harm my family. I will directly sentence you to death. You have no complaints, right?" Ye Tian calmly said.

"Your subject has failed Your Majesty, and is willing to repent with my death." Zhang Lin kowtowed.

"Your Majesty, this matter is all your concubine's fault. Your concubine seduced General Zhang. Please explain, Your Majesty. If you want to kill your concubine, kill your concubine. General Zhang was completely bewitched by your concubine." Hearing this, Yu Fei hurriedly kowtowed and said.

"Yu Fei, you betrayed me. You don't have the time to speak up. We will make a decision regarding your crimes later." Ye Tian coldly said when he heard this.

"Your Majesty, General Zhang has been a general for many generations. May Your Majesty forgive General Zhang for the meritorious service he has rendered to our Chang Long Empire. All the sins and offenses will be borne by your concubine." Yu Fei kowtowed and said.

"Yu'er, you ?" Zhang Lin replied with tears in his eyes.

"It's enough for Yu'er to be acquainted with you in this life." Yu Fei said in a gentle tone.

Ye Tian frowned as he stared at the adulterous couple below him. He didn't know what to say. After all, Yu Fei was his concubine, yet she was so gentle with others in front of him. No one would be able to stand it.

Ye Tian coldly shouted, "Enough. I don't want to hear your nonsense. Take them away and behead Zhang Lin Yu at noon tomorrow. As for Yu Fei, I shall let you hang yourself."

When the left and right guards saw that the Emperor was angry, they all became terrified and hurriedly escorted the two away. At this time, the Prefecture Overseer of the clan walked over and kowtowed as he said, "Your Majesty, this subject has something to say?"

"Speak up if you have something to say." Ye Tian lightly said.

"Your Majesty, even though Zhang Lin's personal relationship with the imperial concubine is unforgivable, he will surely let the world know after his family of generals behead him in the afternoon. Not only will this damage the prestige of the royal family, the Zhang family will definitely complain in their hearts as well." The Prefecture Overseer said in a low voice.

En, you've reminded me of this matter. This matter concerns the prestige of the Royal Clan and should not be announced to the public. Ye Tian asked.

"This humble subject believes that His Majesty can execute Zhang Lin secretly. This way, everyone's face will be better off." The Prefect answered.

"I'll leave this matter to you. Don't disappoint me." Ye Tian left the clan's manor after speaking.

After Ye Tian returned to the imperial study in the imperial palace, he found out about the human geography of the Chang Long Empire. After all, Ye Tian was very unfamiliar with everything in the Chang Long Empire. He wanted to find out just what was going on in the Chang Long Empire.

After looking for a while, Ye Tianming realized that the Chang Long Empire was actually a continent surrounded by sea, and this continent wasn't very vast. Although the entire continent was nominally under the jurisdiction of the Chang Long Empire, there were still some forces that formed their own formations, such as the Berserker Tribe in the north and the Southern Barbaric Tribe, as well as some small clans scattered throughout the continent.

Although these tribes were under the imperial administration of the Chang Long Empire, there were still occasional conflicts. However, the Chang Long Empire had powerful armies, so these tribes didn't dare to go overboard even if they did have some small movements from time to time.

"Servant, bring me Zhang Lin's information." Ye Tian immediately spoke up.

Hearing that, a eunuch, who was attending on the side, hurriedly handed a bamboo slip to Ye Tian. Ye Tian took the bamboo slip and looked at it and frowned. This was because Zhang Lin's family had a rather strong influence in the Chang Long Empire. His grandfather, Zhang Tianlei, was the military marshal of Chang Long Empire who swept through the lands in all directions, making an extraordinary contribution to the empire's prosperity and stability. He was known as General Lei Tianlei.

Zhang Lin's father, Zhang Yue, had inherited Zhang Tianlei's bloodline and joined the army at the age of 15. Currently, he was already the Northern General of the Chang Long Empire, and was guarding the northern side of the Chang Long Empire to stop the berserker army. Therefore, it could be said that whether it was the ordinary people of Chang Long Empire or the nobles of Chang Long Empire, the Zhang family was very respectful to him.

Although this Zhang family is famous for being loyal and valiant, and did not send anyone to plead with Zhang Lin after the crime, and wanted me to handle it according to the law. Zhang family will not interfere, but if I kill Zhang Lin, will the Zhang family hold a grudge, and the people of this world will definitely secretly discuss how I will not care about old friendship, because a woman who has wasted her loyalty will not kill the face of Zhang Lin's royal family. Ye Tian muttered.

"Is the king still worried about Zhang Lin?" A eunuch at the side asked tentatively.

"Heh, it's more than just worrying, This Emperor is still hesitating!" Ye Tian sighed.

Your Majesty, forgive this old servant for being so blunt, but Zhang Lin has committed a heinous crime and your majesty cannot be forgiven. If you spare Zhang Lin this time, then where is your majesty? The eunuch bowed and said.

I'm afraid that Zhang Tianlei will bear grudges against me in his heart. One must know that Zhang Tianlei has been born in the army countless times in his entire life, and even General Zhu Nan, Zhuge Yi, was promoted by him. I'm afraid that I might have cut down a small Zhang Lin and caused a great disturbance in the Chang Long Empire, because my Chang Long Empire is known to be the ruler of this continent, but I don't know how many forces are secretly watching me. Ye Tian sighed.

"Your Majesty, I've served you for so many years, but this is the first time I've seen you so annoyed. Your Majesty, you have to take care of your dragon body." The eunuch said softly.

"I want to be alone. You may leave first." Ye Tian waved his hand as he spoke.

"Zhang Lin, Chang Long Empire." After the eunuch left, Ye Tian muttered repeatedly.

After a long while, Ye Tian suddenly ordered, "Attendant, please drive me to the Zhang Mansion." This Zhang Mansion was located at the south side of the Chang Long Empire's capital city, Chang Long City. Ye Tian arrived at the Zhang Mansion after a short while.

When the old general, Zhang Tianlei, heard that the emperor had arrived, he hurriedly came out to welcome him. At this moment, Ye Tian saw the legendary General Tianlei, who was over eight feet tall. He wore a sky-blue robe, and even though he had a head full of white hair, he still looked majestic.

Seeing Zhang Tianlei bow his head and bow to him, Ye Tian hurriedly went forward to help him up with a smile. "Hehe, Old General, there is no need to do this. I have nothing else to do and have specifically come to visit you."

"Hehe, thank you so much Your Majesty. How could this old subject afford it? Your Majesty, please come in quickly." As Zhang Tianlei spoke, he welcomed Ye Tian into the mansion.

The furnishings in the living room seemed to be a bit old. There was a signboard at the top of the hall with the words' loyal and valiant 'written on it. The name was the name of the previous emperor of the Chang Long Empire, Logan.

After sitting down, Ye Tian smiled and said, "Seeing that the old general's health is still healthy, I can relax. That's right, I've specially ordered some people to bring over some tribute. Men, bring the item over."

Following that, several guards walked up with sandalwood boxes in their hands. Ye Tian then continued, "Hehe, these are all supplements from various places. The old general would like to see your lifespan lengthen."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Tianlei immediately kneeled down to Ye Tian and shouted, "Your Majesty, this old subject is guilty. Your Majesty treats this old subject with such kindness, leaving this old subject with no shame."

Ye Tian was stunned when he heard this and immediately exclaimed, "Old General, why do you say that? You've done countless meritorious deeds for my Chang Long Empire, and now I'm only giving you some supplements. Why is old General doing this?"

Your Majesty, this old official's unfilial son, Zhang Lin, has secretly engaged with your highness's wife, and this old official taught you no harm, causing your Majesty to be embarrassed, this old official has already removed him from the family tree, so after he was captured, your old subject has never expressed his opinion. Firstly, that unfilial son should die a thousand deaths, and secondly, your old subject really does not have the face to see your majesty. Zhang Tianlei kowtowed as tears filled his eyes.

Ye Tian sighed when he heard this, "Sigh, old general need not blame yourself. Besides visiting old general, I came this time for another reason, which is to ask old general how should I deal with Zhang Lin Zhen. One must know that Zhang Lin is the only descendant of old general and Northern General. If I kill him, the Zhang family will be in a difficult position."

Since the unfilial son has violated the royal law, he should be dealt with according to the law. Moreover, I have already removed him from the family tree, so His Majesty does not need to worry. Oh right, my son Zhang Yue had sent someone to deliver the letter the day before yesterday. As Zhang Tianlei spoke, he took out a bamboo scroll and handed it over to Ye Tian.

When Ye Tian opened it to look, there were only a few words written on it, "Your son, Zhang Yue, kowtowed to your father and was informed yesterday that my unfilial son, Zhang Lin, had committed a heinous crime by having an affair with a imperial concubine. Although Zhang Lin is the only descendant of my Zhang family, he is under the laws of the country and my Zhang family has been loyal for generations, so I hope that my father will not plead with His Majesty for my unfilial son's sake. My Zhang family's reputation cannot be tarnished by that unfilial son.

"Ah, Old General Zhang and Northern General Zhenbei are loyal and loyal. We've already decided on this matter. It's getting late, so we'll be returning to the palace. Old General, please take care of yourself." Ye Tian sighed after reading the jade slip.

"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. This old servant's old bones are still quite strong. Even if another war were to break out one day, this old subject would still be able to go on the front lines and help Your Majesty pacify the four sides." Zhang Tianlei said with a stern expression.

"En, this is great. I'll take you back to the palace." Ye Tian smiled.

"This old official respectfully sends you off, your majesty." Upon seeing this, Zhang Tianlei hurriedly kowtowed and said.

After Ye Tian left, an old woman appeared in the hall. This person was Zhang Tianlei and his Qi was from the Xu family, so she scolded Zhang Tianlei: "You old bastard, how can you be so heartless to let His Majesty kill Lin'er. You must know that Lin'er is the only son of our Zhang family, do you want our Zhang family to have no descendants?"

Zhang Tianlei's face immediately became angry upon hearing this: "Shut your mouth, ignorant woman, you have always been indulging him. My Zhang family has been loyal for generations, how can we ruin the reputation of the Zhang family because of a single unfilial son? Moreover, this matter concerns His Majesty's prestige, the prestige of the royal family.

"But Lin'er is still young!" the old woman sobbed.

Seeing this, Zhang Tianlei's face relaxed, and he sighed: "Sigh, we can only blame him for not being born in my Zhang family, my descendants are not allowed to do anything disobedient, and since he has done so, he should do it according to the law. Moreover, for His Majesty to come to our Zhang family personally, it means that His Majesty has not forgotten that I, Zhang Tianlei, have not forgotten everything that my Zhang family has done for the Vibrant Mountain Empire."
