C4 Facing the Zombies Directly

The zombie knocked on the door and tried to crawl into the house, swallowing Tao Yao whole. Tao Yao felt that her back was about to fall apart, but the zombie outside the door seemed to be unwilling to stop until he got what he wanted. Tao Yao was scared, afraid that the zombie would break in the next second. She really didn't understand why the zombie was so persistent.

The zombie expressed his innocence. The blood of a superpowered person was so delicious, how could he resist it?

She couldn't continue like this. Tao Yao split a part of her mind and used the last bit of her superpower to tightly hold the handle of the door. Because of the excessive consumption of her superpower, Tao Yao felt dizzy and her head ached like a needle was pricking her. Her body slid down the door. She fiercely bit her lips, and blood instantly flowed out. The sudden pain finally suppressed the urge to faint. She staggered to stand up and walked to the table. She used all her strength to push the table to the door.

"Phew!" Tao Yao heaved a sigh of relief in her heart. She couldn't hold on any longer and fainted.

...

"Oh, this sleep is so comfortable!" Tao Yao felt that she had slept for a long time. She stretched and stood up to move her limbs. She started to flip the boxes and search for food.

She felt that she was so hungry that she could eat a cow. If she couldn't eat anything, Tao Yao really doubted that she would starve to death.

"How is this possible? I didn't even find a single piece of food." Tao Yao refused to believe it. It was impossible for there to be nothing in the huge house, so Tao Yao started a new round of rummaging.

"Ah! That's great!" Tao Yao's eyes sparkled as she looked at the instant noodles in her hands. She cheered and suddenly thought of something. She covered her mouth and looked out the window. "Why did I forget? This is the apocalypse. Fortunately, I didn't attract the zombies here."

The instant noodles in the bag must have been accidentally dropped into the gap between the sofa and the table. That was why it had been forgotten until now.

Tao Yao had never thought that she would be so touched by a bag of instant noodles. Thinking of the food she had wasted in the past, Tao Yao felt her heart ache.

"Ah, my heart hurts!" Tao Yao covered her heart with her hands and looked at her with an exaggerated expression.

She wolfed down the instant noodles and felt as if she had come back to life. Looking at her clothes that were stained with blood and mud, Tao Yao frowned in disgust.

She remembered that when she had been looking for food, she had seen a lady's shirt in the cabinet. She had picked it up and put it on. Now was not the time to be particular. Although it was someone else's, it was still better than her dirty and tattered clothes.

Tao Yao sat on the sofa and looked up at the ceiling blankly. Her mind was empty and she didn't want to think about anything else. The experience in the last few hours was more exciting than a third of her life. If not for her strong desire to survive, she would have said goodbye to the world the moment she had transmigrated.

Tao Yao pondered for a while, then placed the sofa cushion under the table at the door to prepare to sleep. This world was too crazy. Tao Yao did not dare to imagine if someone would suddenly attack her while she was asleep. If that happened, she would be in trouble.

Once someone came in at this position, Tao Yao would immediately know. Fortunately, the space under the table was big enough. Although she could not stretch out her hands and feet, she could still make do.

Tao Yao thought she would fall asleep, but she was too tired. She fell asleep as soon as she laid down, and even snored.

She had a good night's sleep. Tao Yao opened her eyes with sleepy eyes and saw that it was still early outside. She planned to sleep for a while more. The zombie roared and broke the silence of the morning. Then, like a flood that had been opened, the zombies started to roar, scaring Tao Yao so much that she immediately sat up. Her head hit the edge of the table, and her forehead immediately turned green. Tao Yao cried in pain.

Tao Yao rubbed her eyes with all her might and crawled out from under the table. She looked around, afraid that a monster would jump out from an unknown place. Seeing that this place was temporarily safe, Tao Yao's heart, which had been raised to her throat, finally fell back into her stomach.

Tao Yao thought to herself: The original body's parents and two brothers had gone to the maternal family before the apocalypse. The original body had not gone because of her cousin Ruan Peipei's unexpected visit. When the apocalypse had just arrived, there was still a signal on her phone. Tao's father had opened the phone and told the original body to wait for him at home. They had returned very quickly, but now, ten days had passed. They had not come yet, so they must have met with trouble on the way.

Afraid that Tao Yao would run into those people, Tao Yao decided to go home and see if those people had left. If they had left, then it would be a happy occasion. If they hadn't left, Tao Yao decided to go to a house not far away from her home. That was the way her parents would return home. It was also said that there was a ghost in that house. At this time, no one lived there, so she could live there until they came back.

With a direction, Tao Yao was revived. She spent a lot of effort to move the table blocking the door away, picked up the half of the steel pipe that she had found last night, and carefully walked out of the door.

The zombie's roars and people's screams intertwined. Looking at this devastated city, Tao Yao felt a wave of sadness in her heart. She could not understand how this world had become like this.

Tao Yao leaned against the wall and carefully walked forward. She looked around vigilantly, and if there was even the slightest movement, her heart would beat for a long time. She was afraid that a zombie would suddenly jump out from the corner. But no matter how careful she was, she still inevitably ran into a zombie.

Tao Yao looked at the tall and strong zombie in front of her and swallowed her saliva. She subconsciously tightened the grip on the steel pipe in her hand, and her eyes were locked on the zombie.

When the zombie saw the delicious food in front of it, it roared excitedly and ran towards Tao Yao.

"Oh my god! There is actually a big guy! No, no, I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid at all." If she ignored Tao Yao's shaking legs, these words would still have some weight.

In the blink of an eye, the zombie was in front of Tao Yao. She dodged to the side and barely avoided the zombie’s claws. Seeing that the attack missed, the zombie immediately clenched its fists and threw them at Tao Yao. Knowing that running away was not a solution, Tao Yao mustered up her courage and raised the steel pipe, throwing it at the zombie’s fist with all her strength. The steel pipe and the fist collided, and a bang sounded. Tao Yao’s arm was shaking, and the steel pipe in her hand seemed to have fallen off.

However, this desperate attack did not cause much damage to the zombie. Instead, it angered the zombie. The zombie stared at Tao Yao with its bulging eyes and opened its mouth to pounce on Tao Yao. Tao Yao turned around and jumped to the side. At the same time, she tried her best to use her superpower. The long vine wrapped tightly around the zombie’s feet.

With a plop, the zombie fell heavily onto the ground, raising a cloud of dust. Tao Yao rushed to the front of the zombie and raised the steel pipe to hit the zombie hard. The zombie’s roar became weaker and weaker, and in the end, it stopped moving. However, Tao Yao was like a devil. She continued to hit the zombie without caring about anything else.
