C8 Haunted House

Tao Yao ran all the way to the house that was said to have ghosts. After resting for a while, she lowered her head and looked at the little guy in her arms with a bit of distress.

Tao Yao squatted down and put it on the ground. She pushed it out and said, "Let's go!" Then she turned around and left. "Da Da Da!" The puppy followed behind her. Tao Yao turned around helplessly. The little guy also quickly ran behind Tao Yao with short legs, as if he was hiding a cat. He didn't let her see him.

Tao Yao looked at the happy shadow wagging its tail and was speechless. How blind am I to not see you? Tao Yao rolled her eyes and revealed a naughty smile.

She suddenly turned around and looked at the little puppy that had nowhere to hide. She smiled shamelessly and picked up the puppy. She quickly threw it into the grass and quickly turned around to the door. She took out the key from under the flower pot and opened the door.

Tao Yao was determined not to see the little puppy that was running towards her. She couldn't even feed herself, so how could she feed a little puppy?

The puppy outside the door was in a hurry to catch up to the person in front of it. It fell to the ground and became covered in dust. It immediately struggled to stand up and ran towards Tao Yao with all its might, but it was still a step slower.

The puppy looked at the slowly closing door and was stunned. Its wet eyes looked blankly ahead of it. Its entire body was surrounded by loneliness, like a child abandoned.

Tao Yao felt as if her heart was being pricked by needles when she saw this scene. She was so hot that she knocked on the closed door again. When the puppy saw this, its originally dim eyes lit up and it ran towards Tao Yao with all its might.

The moment the puppy ran towards Tao Yao, Tao Yao decided to treat the puppy well because it was her responsibility. She had to give it the trust it had given her.

Tao Yao looked at the puppy that was rubbing itself against her and decided to give it a bright name: Babao. Tao Yao and Babao played for a while, then she got up and walked around the house.

It could be seen that this house had been vacant for a long time. The floor was covered with a thick layer of dust, and the furniture was covered with a white cloth.

Looking at the empty house, Tao Yao felt lonely and sad. In this unfamiliar world, she felt very lonely and helpless. She wanted to work hard to change this situation, but everything seemed pale and powerless in the face of the cruel reality.

She couldn't find her family, could not run away from bandits, and could not beat zombies.

Tong Zi felt Tao Yao's sadness and wiggled uneasily in Tao Yao's arms. It rubbed its head against Tao Yao's palm instinctively, and it didn't like Tao Yao's current appearance.

"Luckily, you are here," Tao Yao muttered to herself. She hugged Babao tightly in her arms and felt better after a while.

Tao Yao found a piece of cloth in a room and took out a bottle of mineral water. She wetted the cloth and tidied up a room. Babao happily wagged its tail and followed behind Tao Yao. It left a plum blossom print on the floor covered in dust.

"Phew, I finally finished packing." Tao Yao hammered her sore waist and straightened her body. Looking at the house that was much cleaner, Tao Yao felt a sense of accomplishment in her heart.

At night, the stars were twinkling, and the city was shrouded in the gentle moonlight. "Roar! Roar! Roar!" An unharmonious sound came from afar, destroying the tranquility of the night.

Tao Yao's eyelids became heavier and heavier. The sleepiness corroded her mind. Just as she was about to enter sweet dreams, a clear rustling sound came from her ear.

"Damn, this dream is quite real. It's like, it's like there really is a sound beside my ear …" Tao Yao muttered in a muddled voice.

Suddenly, a louder rustling sound exploded in Tao Yao's ears like a clap of thunder. It scared Tao Yao so much that she immediately jumped up from the bed. The hair on her body stood on end as she entered a state of alertness. Her gaze swept across the house in bewilderment.

The rustling sound echoed in the empty house again and again, making one's hair stand on end.

She couldn't think anymore. The more she thought about it, the more frightening it became. Tao Yao shook her head hard and shook off those messy thoughts.

"From the sound, it seems to be coming from the living room." Tao Yao tiptoed along the sound and used the moonlight to move forward. Her eyes were focused on the front as she moved forward with great difficulty.

Suddenly, with a "kacha" sound, it scared Tao Yao so much that she almost jumped up. Bang! Bang! Bang! Her heart felt like it was about to jump out of her mouth. Tao Yao swallowed her saliva with great difficulty and lowered her head stiffly.

However, in the dark night, she didn't find anything. She had no choice but to continue walking forward. In her heart, she was telling herself that there was nothing.

In the dark night, due to the fear of the unknown, people would unconsciously imagine that the fear that was hidden in their hearts would be magnified infinitely.

Tao Yao was in such a situation. She felt that everything was terrifying. Suddenly, she thought of the rumor about ghosts in this house.

The empty house, the fluttering curtains, and the zombie roar made her hair stand on end. Tao Yao was scared. What if there really was a ghost?

Tao Yao swallowed her saliva and encouraged herself in her heart. There were only two steps left. The sound of the water splashing was getting louder. Tao Yao knew that the truth that made her afraid would come soon, but she couldn't move. She was really scared. She was afraid that a white-faced, long-lipped demon would jump out of the bathroom.

"I'll give it my all!" Tao Yao closed her eyes and made up her mind. She walked to the bathroom with big strides. Tao Yao looked around and found that the sound was coming from the toilet.

Tao Yao stared at the toilet and resisted the urge to turn around and run. She braced herself and walked forward. However, she had to pick up and put down the hand that was about to lift the toilet lid. She looked left and right. No matter what, she didn't dare to lift the lid. The sound of the water splashing finally became softer. Then, Tao Yao lifted the toilet lid with her big guts.

In the end, there was nothing in the toilet, leaving only a circle of ripples that spread outwards. Tao Yao frowned and looked at the toilet that was still making sounds.

This was strange.

Tao Yao looked at it for a long time but still didn't find anything. So she activated her superpower and produced a long and thin vine. It went down the toilet, about five meters long. The vine couldn't move at all, and the toilet made even louder noises.

"Hmm?" Tao Yao's face stiffened as she looked at the toilet in disbelief, "Damn it! There's something under there. No wonder it's making noises."

Hearing the clear chewing sounds from below, Tao Yao was speechless. It turned out that this was a glutton.

Then, Tao Yao grabbed the vine with both hands, wanting to pull it up. However, the vine didn't move at all. Then she turned around and bent her back slightly, pulling the vine out with all her strength.

With a clang, a half-meter-long unknown creature was caught. It was jumping around on the ground. With the help of the moonlight, Tao Yao could finally see the creature clearly. It had two long whiskers, and its black eyes, which were as big as beans, were on top of its flat mouth. Its sharp teeth emitted a white light under the moonlight.

The big-mouthed fish saw that it had left its familiar environment and was making a ruckus on the ground. It looked at Tao Yao hatefully, "It's this person who tricked me out!"
