Doctor Brian couldn't help but chipped in seeing how worried Lucas was worried. Lucas who already had multiple beads on sweat on his face quickly changed the conversation.

" I'm sure you already heard the news but i already had everything sorted out it the airliner and the stock price is sure to rise once the news of me becoming the new CEO hit the media. "

Kate was basically having the best sleep of her life, with the little issue with Justin was resolved getting onto the right track and the company doing amazing what more could she asked for..

Unfortunately the ringing of her phone instantly put a pause to her sleep , it took a few minute for Kate to regain her composure before she had the call answered " Alessa what with the morning call?, it not even sunrise yet "

" That should be the least of your worries now , I just received a call from the Miller lawyer and Lucas is suing for assault for the little incident that happened back then"

Kate was a little overwhelmed by Alessa sentences taking for the fact that she just woke up, if wasn't for the urgency behind Alessa words she would have thought that it was some sort of prank she was pulling but Alessa wasn't anywhere done speaking " I spoke with some of the company lawyers on your behalf and they basically agreed we you talking Lucas out of his game or risk a possible one months of jail time or a two week community service "

In which none of the latter was on the table since if her getting convicted of assault get to the media if would definitely spiral her career into a downward trend.

" Have Lucas replied on the meeting schedule? "

" Yes, I would send you the details now and call me if anything goes south "

With the line disconnected, Alessa text came in only a few minute later with the text basically saying that she had only an hour before the meet up and a cafe just twenty minutes drive from her location.

It was already sunrise so there was no need going back to bed, without wasting a seconds more Kate quickly head into the shower putting on a casual trainers and writing a short note for her Dad.

Thankfully the location of the cafe wasn't far from her place so she was able to arrive in ample time but Kate was a bit little surprised to find Lucas already seated with a cup of milk and cookies on his side of table, not wanting to keep him waiting anymore longer Kate slowly walked over with Lucas taking the initiative in speaking as Kate took her seat.

" You are here early !"

Kate didn't initially reply since she still felt weirded out by the whole marriage arrangement and she still had to be nice to him, mustering her strength Kate spoke

" can I get your number? it a little bit unconvience for me to be sending an email anytime I get to you, and I have a friend she totally into you . Just say the word and I will both of you hook up "

Kate said the latter part of her sentence basically laughing internally since she knew how mad Alessa would be I'd she probably heard if this but it was any worth she totally got Lucas angry as he had a gentleman angry expression on, it didn't take much before Ryan spoke clearly annoyed.

" Natalie would give you my contact and if that why you call me here for I will be taking my leave "

" I'm the one that is dragged into all these mess. I literally have a boyfriend to be clear, Just stole with all the game you are trying to play and no more signing deal that concern me without my permission. I'm not interested in you so maybe it a good idea for you to the marriage arrangements in flames ." Kate immediately rant out

Lucas froze for a moment looking surprised at what just happened, staring blankly at Kate for a moment before speaking.

" There is a dinner party going on tonight at my place, Natalia would filled you in with the details. Don't keep me waiting "

Kate wasn't sure what just happen as she literally watched Lucas walked out of the cafe, she literally spent the last seven minutes voicing her heart out and it didn't look one bit he was listening to what she said .

" You don't have to worry much Lucas is always like that… The event Lucas is spoke about is basically a annual dinning hosted annually by the Miller family with the family Patriot Old Miller basically inviting all his friends to celebrate their sucess once a year but the most important part of the event is Old Miller speech. "

Kate ended up picking a handful of information from Natalie but since Kate still had some office work to be done briefly, of course after the celebration that she organized for the company. So Natalia would help her with the shopping having gotten her clothes size and get other essentials delivered to the office.

Kate couldn't help but let out a breath of relief as she walk into her office building which had before busier that normal lately, the little party she had in mind took much of her time than she expected but it was definitely fun. Passing through the reception center Kate spoke towards Coi the receptionist " Can you you inform Alessa that I'm at the office and need her as asap"

" Yes Ma"

Acknowledging her words with a slight nod before taking the elevator towards the four floor where her office was located, the office building wasn't anything spectacular since it was a simple four floor townhouse which in it prime days was a bakery and she basically bought the space since it was offered at a price which was too good to pass over.

Walking Into her office she slowly poured herself a glass of grape wine before she get seated although she had a lot of work to be done she had a burning a question that needed to be answered and Natalie just walked right in at the right time.

" Coi just Inform me through the intercom that you were around and looking for me "
