C10 Prepare A Feast

THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

Emily was standing in the hallway of the LeBlanc mansion. All of the sudden, her eyes fell on a figure that zoomed into the mansion and ran straight up to the stairs. It was none other than Charlotte, running toward her bedroom. She was holding a file tightly against her chest. She locked herself in her bedroom. Emily felt like something was off. She ran toward Benjamin's bedroom to investigate.

Emily was standing against the door of Benjamin's bedroom and she pressed her ear against the door. "No! It's not good news. I am pregnant but this can't happen. My husband never touched me." A wide mischievous smirk appeared on Emily's face as she heard Charlotte panicking.

"So, the bitch actually spread her legs for someone other than her husband. I can't believe it. After everything, she had the audacity to do something like that." Emily thought but her mind was still busy listening to everything Charlotte was saying.

"If only she had the speaker on and o could listen to what the person on the other side was saying." Emily wished.

"That's not possible because I am still a virgin. I never slept with anyone. Not even my husband. I need to speak with Father John." Emily frowned in confusion then a disgusted look appeared on her face when she imagined Charlotte with Father John.

"She used to visit him almost every single day. I never thought they were banging each other. Who am I to judge? Everyone has their own dark sexual fantasies. Shame that yours will get me whatever I want." Emily thought. She was getting excited about the whole situation.

"I am on my way then." Emily heard those words and all of the sudden, she heard footsteps approaching the door. Emily ran to the other side and hid behind the wall. She watched as Charlotte stepped out of her room and ran downstairs. Emily watched Charlotte leave in a hurry.

She made her way to Benjamin's bedroom. She hoped no one would see her. Her eyes were roaming around to make sure the maids were not around. Because everyone reported to Mr Leblanc Sr at the end. She couldn't afford getting caught. She crossed her finger and tried to turn the door knob.

But to her surprise, Charlotte made sure to lock it before she left in a hurry. "Bitch! Now I have to find another way to get to that file. What should I do?" Emily mumbled. She sighed and took a step backwards.

"I should tell Aunt Ruby. I am sure she might be able to find a way to get that bitch out even without the file in our hands." Emily thought as an evil grin appeared on her face. She turned around and flipped her long blonde hair hard. Just as she was about to walk away, she heard a low squeak. She turned and her grin widened. The door was locked, but not completely. The lock didn't stick against the wall.

Biting her lower lip in excitement, Emily pushed open the door and went inside the bedroom. She didn't have to look everywhere. The file was lying on the table at the entrance of the king sized bedroom. Emily grabbed the file and went toward the door. She unlocked the door from inside then reset the lock. She stepped out of the room and slammed the door shut, just so the door would be locked and she wouldn't be held accountable for conspiring against Charlotte.

"You used to be so proud and elegant. Every single rumor that I spread across the school, you were able to walk past it just because of your attitude and your elegance. Let's see how you walk past the city when everyone will be looking at you as a slut who spreads her legs for anyone. You made a huge mistake by taking what's always been mine." Emily mumbled as she looked through the file.

Once Emily was sure, she ran straight to Ruby, Benjamin's mother, to tell her everything. "Aunt Ruby, I have finally found a way to get rid of that bitch once and for all." Emily was jumping in excitement as she informed Ruby. But Ruby only sighed sadly.

"Unfortunately, that can never happen. My player son has fallen head over heels for that bitch. We can't get rid of her unless Benjamin gets bored of her." Ruby's tone was filled with disappointment as she talked about her son's feelings for his wife.

Emily knelt down on the ground in front of Ruby and placed the file she had stolen from Benjamin's room, on Ruby's lap. "God has granted us our wish, Aunt. I found out the truth about her. And if Benjamin comes to know about it, he will immediately divorce her. You just need to keep the papers ready." Ruby was a little confused as she heard Emily.

Ruby grabbed the file and started reading it. Ruby was gritting her teeth in anger. She suddenly stood up and threw the file on the ground. "Are you out of your mind? If my son sees this file, he will never leave her. How can it be good news?" Ruby was yelling at Emily.

She fell down on the couch again and started slapping her head with both of her hands. "Aunt Ruby, you took it wrong. I heard her talking to someone. The child isn't Benjamin's. She said it out loud. He never touched her at all." Emily finally spoke out the important piece of information she hadn't told Ruby yet.

Ruby gasped loudly as she cupped Emily's face and made her look into Ruby's eyes. "Are you serious? You really heard that?" Ruby asked, the excitement was sparkling in her eyes. Emily smiled widely and nodded her head.

"That's right, I heard her loud and clear. Let's inform Benjamin right now and get her kicked out." Emily mumbled as she pulled her phone out. She was about to dial Benjamin's number but Ruby slapped Emily's hand and her phone fell on the floor.

"You stupid woman, not like that. How are we supposed to explain it to Ben how we found out?" Ruby raised a question that Emily didn't think about in excitement.

"Then what should we do?" Emily asked.

"Instead of making a scene, we will decorate the whole place and get a feast ready." Ruby spoke and Emily growled in annoyance.

"Are you on her side as well? Didn't you hear me, it's not Benjamin's baby in her belly." Emily yelled at Ruby but Ruby only chuckled.

"You stupid woman! I know that, but Ben knows it before us. If we tell him that the celebration is because his wife is carrying a baby, he will flip and nothing will be on us both. Now did you get it?" Ruby explained her plan to Emily.

Emily was surprised to see how cunning Ruby actually was. But it didn't scare her at all. After all, Emily's mother was the one pulling strings if Ruby. Ruby was just a mere puppet in the hands of Emily's mother.

After attending all of his meetings as fast as he could, Benjamin came back home to be by his wife's side. He was back by lunch time. The ground floor of the mansion was decorated with white roses and pink and blue ribbons. Benjamin was a little surprised to see all that. But then he was suddenly angry. He thought his mother was celebrating Charlotte's illness.

"Oh, you are home early! How can you not? The news must have left you surprised and due to the excitement, you came running." Ruby spoke in a gentle tone as she hugged her son.

"What the hell, mom? Are you actually celebrating Charlotte's illness?" Benjamin yelled at his mother due to the frustration.

"Oh, you silly man. She is not ill. She is completely fine. These things happen in her condition. It's completely normal." Ruby was extra sweet as she talked about Charlotte and her condition.

Benjamin was confused. He couldn't understand what his mother was trying to say. "What do you mean? What is wrong with her?" Benjamin asked out of curiosity.

"Don't play me, boy. Like you don't know. Do you think of me as a fool? Isn't that the reason why you came running?" Ruby asked Benjamin playfully but Benjamin was still very puzzled with everything.

"Oh, she didn't tell you? Really! Oh my God! She might have planned to surprise you. And I ruined it. That's why she left home and still hasn't come back yet." Ruby spoke in a guilty tone while shaking her head.

"Mom! What is happening? Just tell me already. I am literally going to get a heart attack." Benjamin was getting worried about his wife. He knew she was very fragile. And he couldn't help but think he was not taking good care of her.

"Why are you so worried, Ben? It's good news. Nothing to worry about. Your wife is pregnant. She is carrying your baby." With that piece of information, Ruby deliberately handed Benjamin the file Emily had stolen from their bedroom. Benjamin's expressions were as if he saw a ghost. He turned pale. He opened the file and started reading it. He went through all the test results and at the very end, he read in the doctor's writing: "Pregnant!"

Benjamin's grip tightened on the file as he was glaring at the word, "pregnant!" He was heartbroken. Tears were stinging at the corner of his eyes as he glared at the file. Charlotte stepped into the mansion and she froze as she saw Benjamin standing in front of her. "You came back home early?" Benjamin's eyes widened as he heard Charlotte's innocent voice. He turned around, the file was still in his hands.

Charlotte's heart stopped for a second when her eyes fell on that file. Ruby walked toward Charlotte and engulfed Charlotte in her arms. "Oh my god, I am so happy. Thank you so much." Ruby was showering Charlotte with fake love. Charlotte smiled awkwardly at Ruby and pulled away from her. She walked toward Benjamin who was glaring at Charlotte.

"Benjamin, this isn't what it looks like. You need to let me explain." Charlotte cried, fear was visible in her eyes.

"And how are you planning on explaining this to me? Is there a way to explain this?" Benjamin was yelling at Charlotte. She was afraid of her husband.

"What is going on? Benjamin, you can't yell at her in her condition." Ruby scolded her son as she wrapped her arms around Charlotte who was weeping quietly.

"You stay out of this, mom. The child in her belly isn't mine. I never touched her." Benjamin growled at his mother. Ruby gasped loudly as she heard Benjamin. She pulled away from Charlotte and slapped her hard on her face.

"How could you? How could you do this to my son? He loved you with all his heart?" Charlotte's face stung as Ruby's hand stamped on her face. But she didn't care. She only cared about Benjamin. Benjamin walked toward her, grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the mansion.

"Mom! Bring me those divorce papers you always wanted me to sign!" Benjamin growled at his mother. Ruby went inside the mansion and within a minute, she came back with the papers in her hands.

Charlotte's eyes widened. She was not expecting that kind of extreme reaction from Benjamin. "Benjamin, please, listen to me. You can't punish me like this!" Charlotte begged him but Benjamin was crazy in anger. He could only see and think extreme.

Staring in Charlotte's eyes, he started signing the papers. "Benjamin! I swear, I never cheated on you. I am a pure woman. I never let anyone touch me. Please, believe me." Charlotte was on her knees, begging her husband to believe her Innocence. But he only looked at her with anger and disgust in his eyes for her.

"Do you think I am a fool? If you didn't cheat? If you are that innocent? How come you are pregnant? Is that the reason why you didn't let me touch you in four months of our marriage?" Benjamin yelled at her, hatred dipped from his eyes for Charlotte.

"I don't know anything! But please, believe me. I never cheated on you." Charlotte cried, trembling with fear.

"That's it! I can't live with an unfaithful woman. I am divorcing you. Get your ugly face out of my sight and never show me your face again, you slut." Without listening to her pleas, Benjamin slapped the divorce papers in her hands.

"Get out! If I ever see you around again, I will kill you with my own two hands. You disgust me. I hate you to the level that I will give you slow death and enjoy your pain if I ever see you here again. Get lost, you slut!" Benjamin yelled at her angrily. He pushed Charlotte and walked away. He didn't stay to see that due to that gard push, Charlotte fell on a rock and hit her head.
