C1 Wedge

Life was a line that traveled between despair and hope!

He had a face of mixed Latin origin, light brown skin, and chiseled features, like that of a painter, unrestrained and uninhibited, with an aggressive look in his eyes.

He had been sitting in the black Mercedes-Benz for quite some time. The man was unsmiling, his Tang Dynasty equipment exuding his mature temperament, his inborn white hair did not lessen the man's arrogance.

"Tsk tsk tsk, is this the Road to River Styx? Why haven't I seen a single ghost in half a day? " The one who spoke up was the man Second Brother, his tone full of mockery. Because his Third Brother had lost the game, he had to admit his defeat, and then wait for his' prey 'to come knocking.

The rules of the game were very simple. The loser would randomly pick a street and wait for them. The first person to appear, regardless of gender or age, Quan San, had to stand up bravely, regardless of whether he was tied up or robbed.

"Motherf * cker, don't ever let a dinosaur get here, hahaha." Along with it was an eye-catching silver haired Jiang Xiaoyu.

"Compared to grandpa and grandma, I still prefer dinosaurs, hahahaha." The one who added extra fuel to the fire was Quan San's best friend, Teng Zifeng.

Quan San turned a deaf ear to the noisy chatter. He calmly sat in the car and waited for the first 'prey' to turn into the street.

The bright light did not mean that Yuhua City was wealthy, as it meant that it was the most developed city in the whole city.

The color of the night drove people mad, and at a quarter past twenty, after an hour of silence, someone finally turned into the street.

A tall and thin figure entered the eyes of those in the car. Quan San didn't give them a chance to speak as he opened the car door and quickly left.

With nimble movements, he blocked the boy's path and chopped him down with a hand knife. Then, he stuffed the unconscious boy into a sack that he had prepared beforehand and carried him on his shoulder back to the car. He opened the trunk and threw the unconscious boy into the trunk with extreme gentleness.

The car sped away and finally stopped outside the restaurant. Quan San, who was holding a gold card, carried the teenager in the sack and ran straight to the room that Jiang Xiaoyu opened for him. The road was unobstructed and no one dared to stop him.

Quan San wasn't considered cold. If he was asked to choose between killing someone and doing something, then killing someone would be more exciting for a man than doing something comfortable.

He was brutal and ruthless. He loved to kill people; he was the terrifying third young master of the sect.

Without turning on the lights or even the prelude, he was only willing to admit his defeat. Opening the gunny sack, he took out the unconscious youth that was drenched in sweat and tore off the youth's pants. Then …

When he woke up from his drowsiness, it was already the morning of the second day. Golden sunlight was dancing in front of his bed, and dust was dancing in the air. The young man was staring blankly at the unfamiliar room.

Five years later.

"Daddy, dad, I want to build a Gate of Heavenly Peace on your stomach." Shuicao, who was four years old and holding a pile of wood in his arms, ran into the room while staggering.

Dressed in a bathrobe, Shui Se, who was on the phone with Han Mushi, who was a classmate and partner, immediately rubbed his son's small head lovingly. He then replied to the man on the phone with a smile, "It's Xiao Hui. It's alright. Just continue with the case just now."

"Daddy, hurry up and lie down. I'm going to start building the house." Crash, the little guy let go of his arm, and the colorful pieces of wood spilled onto the bed. He climbed onto the man's bed, rolled up his legs and started working beside Shui Se.

Shui Se, who was attentively listening to Han Mushi talk on the phone, had a warm smile on his face. From time to time, he would rub his son's furry little head. His eyes were filled with love and pity.

"En, alright, understood. You can rest assured that I will take care of this case. Since Little Grass is on vacation, I can bring her along. No problem, hur hur …"

"Daddy is so annoying. Don't move, don't move. My city gates have all fallen. Heh heh!" Shuicao, who was sitting beside Shui Se, gestured frantically with his hands and legs, causing a part of his body to collapse. His small chest was bulging with anger.

"Good boy, Uncard, why don't you try talking to Little Grass?" Shui Se, who was holding the phone, tilted his head and asked for his son's suggestion.

"No, I don't want it. Daddy, you don't need to move anymore. Little Grass wants to build a Gate of Heavenly Peace for Daddy. Then, we'll move in together with Untle, okay?" The little girl tilted her head, looking innocent and brilliant. The more she looked at him, the more adorable she became.

This is his life's treasure, thank god for giving him such a cute son. Luckily, he bravely accepted such a cruel reality back then, otherwise, where did such a cute son come from? Hehe.

"Didn't you hear it already? This little thing is going to build you a 'Heaven's Annihilation Gate'. Hur Hur." Shui Se smiled helplessly. He was grateful to the man that was talking to him, allowing him to walk out of the darkness and see the light of dawn. He was already satisfied with only one friend of his in this life.

Shui Se, who hung up the phone, didn't dare to move while Lil Thing was leaning against the headboard. He squinted his eyes and looked at Shuicao, who was playing by himself next to his legs. He felt warm inside.

"Ahhh, I'm sleeping again, wuu." The little girl pouted, her face filled with displeasure. She raised her head and looked pitifully at Shui Se with her lips moving and her bright eyes blinking. Then, she stretched out her hand to sweep away the debris on Shui Se's stomach.

"Good girl, it's time for us to sleep. Good kids need to go to bed early and get up early." As he spoke, he began to pack up his son's colored blocks one by one into the bag. He did not notice that the little girl was staring at his exposed abdomen.

Shuicao did not find a scar on his stomach that was as thin as his dad's. Shuicao was very curious and crawled up to the man. He pointed to the scar that had already dimmed down and asked: "Daddy, why is there a scar here?" Why didn't the grass have it?

After a few seconds, Shui Se calmed himself down and patted his son's head gently, "Good grass, all boys will have it when they grow up." He didn't want to answer this question, but he also didn't want to see his son's disappointed expression. The little grass was still young, so when he grew up, he would naturally understand that his father wasn't intentionally lying to him. This was just a white lie.

"Oh, oh, oh." The innocent child was truly innocent. The little one believed this to be true and laughed brilliantly. "So that's how it is, hehehe." Then he slipped into the blanket naked and wrapped himself around Shui Se to tell him a story. He habitually hugged the man's thigh and was as dependable as a little pug.

A light pat, a low whisper, a man tirelessly telling a story every night, thinking that this kind of life will last forever...
