"There's Sadnie," Angel whispered and nudged me.
Sadnie quietly turned to me and smiled, so I rolled my eyes. #AttitudeFirst
"We were first! Why are you letting them get blood samples instead of us? That's unfair!" complained the annoyed med tech student.
"Sorry, Miss," Cyrus's friend apologized and looked at me with a playful smile.
The other girl shrugged. "Whatever, we should have been first, you should have let us get the blood!"
Cyrus chuckled and played with his lips again. "But even if someone came first," he stopped and bit his lower lip, "Yoreh was the same choice I would choose... We choose,"
We all fell silent. He would choose? Why did I feel like something in my stomach went crazy?!
"And we're not even that close for him to say that. Is he not concerned with the feelings of others, like if he can flutter hearts of them? Wait! What? Did my heart flutter?" I thought to myself.
"Okay," the girls said and walked out.
"Can we do this in the clinic instead? It's embarrassing to get blood here with other students around," Sadnie awkwardly suggested.
They nodded and stood up. At first, I thought Cyrus's other friends were also snobbish, but I was wrong. They were like living microphones because of all the noise. And Cyrus, complaining to me about being noisy, as if he's not used to it.
As we walked, they introduced themselves to us. Jake, Sai, Izi, Wendrix, Hugo were their names.
"Sai and Hugo! Can you both please shut your mouth? You're acting like you're at a playground, running around and laughing," Cyrus scolded his friends.
Sai laughed. "There, Sadnie! Cyrus is getting high blood, hurry up and get some blood!" he joked.
We chuckled at what he said. Indeed, if Sadnie took too much blood from Cyrus, would he bleed out? Just kidding.
"You guys should stay calm, or else we might end up with bloodshed later," Wendrix joked with a mischievous smile at Cyrus.
I looked at Cyrus, who suddenly walked faster, seeming very annoyed with his friends. He walked without caring, his hands in his pockets. Some girls smiled at him, but mostly just glanced at him. Alright, let's admit it! He looks so damn attractive in his white t-shirt, which shows off his masculine arms, and his black slacks suit him, making his long legs stand out.
He's so simple, yet his great charisma and manly posture make him stand out. How can a guy exist like this!?
"Hello, Mrs. Isidro. I'm just getting blood samples for our friend's requirements," Sadnie bid farewell to the nurse in the clinic.
There are four beds here. Hugo and Sai immediately ran to the first bed, while Wendrix and Izi took the second. I looked at Cyrus, who was already sitting on the bed and raised an eyebrow at me.
I quickly looked away. Did I just notice how attractive his raised eyebrow was? This is not normal! And I hate it! I really do!
"What the hell is that?" Sai asked, laughing.
He was looking at the injection Sadnie was holding, it's much longer compared to what was used on us. I got worried and glanced at Sai, who seemed to be laughing and appeared very used to being pierced by needles.
I avoided looking at him while he was getting blood drawn because I'm scared of blood. But I could look at the other blood in the tube for a while, but not too long because just imagining the needle---my chest hurt, so I just shook my head.
"That's all? Mommy's belt is more painful than that," Sai joked and moved aside.
Sadnie didn't take too long because her friends weren't like Cyrus's. Some are overly dramatic, even before they start.
I stood up properly and discreetly glanced at Cyrus, who was also standing up and looked at me intently, raising an eyebrow. I turned my head slightly, avoiding his gaze. Even his raised eyebrow seems so attractive! This is not normal! And I hate it! I really do!
"Here comes Cyrus," Angel whispered to me.
I glanced at him because of his meaningful gaze.
I pouted. "I know," I irritably replied.
"Yiee," she teased.
My brows furrowed. "What?"
"Nothing, you're blushing already," she teased me again.
I just avoided her gaze and looked at Cyrus.
He was seriously watching what Sadnie was doing to him. He lifted his gaze and looked at me. It seemed like he'd rather disturb my face than what Sadnie was doing. Our eyes met, and as much as I wanted to keep looking, my eyes seemed to have a life of their own and didn't want to leave him.
"You might melt," Angel whispered.
So I turned to her. Oh my God! Did she see that?! Damn, why is Cyrus acting so weird now! It's getting to me!
"You just don't seem to be able to resist staring at Ben all night," he irritably said when I walked out and stopped next to him.
I pouted. "What's the matter with you again? What's bothering you about that?"
I'm not doing anything wrong, why is he so annoyed? And why do I care if he gets angry? What do I care if he gets angry?
He just looked at me angrily and avoided eye contact.
"Why are you even coming?" he asked seriously.
He leaned against the wall, his hands still in his pockets, while he endured the students walking by. Some girls smiled at him, appearing to flirt with their glances. If someone sees a handsome guy like him, do they have to smile and look at him with sparkling eyes?! What do I care?!
I rolled my eyes. "Of course, my friends are coming. And why? What's bothering you about it? If you don't want me there, then tell your friends not to include us because you're annoyed! Not sulking like that!" I said, annoyed.
Why does he need to make me feel like he's so irritated with me? Why doesn't he just tell his friends not to include us?
He chuckled. "You just can't resist Ben, and earlier you really didn't want a large needle used on him," he said, shaking his head.
I frowned. "What do you mean by that?" I asked curiously.
What's the big deal with Ben? Is he going crazy?
"Nothing, fine, you can come later if that's what you want," he said grumpily.
"Are you going crazy?"
"I'm not,"
"You are,"
"I'm not,"
I pouted. "You are,"
"Okay," he conceded.
I looked at him with a sigh and then glanced away.
"Oh, see you later, around 7 pm at Lacasa. I already talked to Sadnie," Ben said with a smile as they left.
I didn't say anything again because I might get scolded again by Cyrus.
Angel was busy walking and talking to Sai, while Sadnie was talking to Wendrix and Hugo, who sometimes glanced at Ben, who was talking to Jake.
I looked at Cyrus walking next to me.
"Just don't wear clothes that are too
revealing," he reminded me before turning into the other hallway.
Why does he even care?!
