C22 twenty two

"It's been 1 month since I started dating Cyrus. I still haven't met Tita Alejandra and Tito Armando again because they temporarily went home to Pampanga to attend to some business matters.

Sometimes his schedule and mine are different, so we discussed that if our class times don't match, he shouldn't accompany me because I also don't want our studies to be affected.

He also introduced me as his girlfriend to his friends like he's really proud! It warms my heart that every time he mentions me as his girlfriend, there's a wide smile on his lips and his eyes sparkle. Sai, Jake, Izi, Ben, Wendrix, and Hugo weren't surprised either; in fact, I was the one surprised because there was no trace of surprise on their faces as if they expected it.

On the way home, sometimes we eat at a nearby restaurant or something. He's still clingy as usual and a very possessive man, but I like it anyway.

But I didn't expect that he has a side where when I wake up in the morning, he's already cooking for me or he's already done cooking. I also didn't expect that he knows something about our research paper topic, so he did some parts that I didn't understand in the study.

"Don't you really want to eat rice?" he asked.

I nodded and turned to look at my notebook. I'm stressed out with so much to review.

"Just an egg sandwich," I replied frugally.

I didn't look up at him because I'm so stressed out. How am I supposed to review all these constitutions, civilization, and geography? Damn it, I've been reading and almost memorizing these for a while now, and it's making me more confused.

He sighed, so I glanced at him.

We've been like this for almost three days. I'm going crazy with reviewing while he's probably going crazy trying to feed me.

"I'm really sorry, I still have a lot to do, and that's why we can't bond," I said, pouting.

We're here at the Canteen.

He moved a bit and tapped me on the back, slowly pulling me closer.

"It's okay," he said softly. "We're both studying, and we can't prioritize bonding in other places over focusing on our studies,"

"When is your exam?"

I hugged him and grabbed the egg sandwich, offering it to him, and he took a bite before winking at me.

Just like a fool.

"Next week, baby," he said tenderly.

"Aren't you feeling pressured? Because our exams are next week, and I feel like I'm going crazy. How about you? You should start doing advance reading so you won't go crazy when the exam is near,"

He laughed, "I'm only crazy about you," he said smoothly.

I gave him a look. "I'm serious about what I'm saying,"

He chuckled, "I'm serious about you," he said, winking.

Damn, he's handsome. My panties!

"I don't know about you," I said, feeling giddy.

"Let me help you review," he said with a smile.

He took my notebook and turned away slightly so I couldn't see my notes.

He smiled, "In Article III, the Bill of Rights, give at least two specific protections against abuse of state power,"

I pouted, "A right against searches and seizures without a warrant issued by a judge," I answered.

"What does that mean?" Sai asked curiously.

I turned to them, and they all smiled at me one by one as they sat in front of us.

"Just leave us, Selene is reviewing!" Cyrus irritably told them.

"This idiot! We're just listening! We don't even have a place to sit," said Hugo.

"What does it mean? Selene?" Ben asked.

"Don't call her Selene!" Cyrus scolded.

"Okay, Bro, Chill!" Ben said, laughing.

"What does it mean?" Izi asked, turning to me.

"Just don't go too deep into the explanation," Wendrix said with a smile.

"Just make it smooth, Yoreh," Jake said.

"Can you guys not be noisy here?" Cyrus irritably said.

"It's okay," I told Cyrus.

He raised an eyebrow and pouted.

"How to unsee this!" Sai pointed at Cyrus, amazed.

Hugo laughed, "Damn,"

I laughed at their reactions.

"When I said 'A right against searches and seizures without a warrant issued by a judge,' it means that the search warrant should focus on specific locations or items, and the police can't arrest based on other reasons," I explained simply.

"Ah," they nodded.

"How about if there's a warrant of arrest for me regarding drugs, but what they found in my house is not drugs? Will they arrest me?" asked Jake.

I shook my head, "Whatever specific items are written in the warrant, that's where the police should focus. But even without a warrant of arrest, they can still arrest. Like if they witness theft or if someone is killed. They can arrest them even without a warrant of arrest,"

"Damn, Wendrix, Breathe!" Jake teased Wendrix, who seemed to have just realized what I was saying.

"Are you going to become a lawyer?" Hugo asked seriously.

I shook my head, "I'm going to become a teacher because my major is Social Studies, where the constitution falls,"

"One more example," I said, turning to Cyrus to speak.

He raised an eyebrow. Oh yeah, he asked me for two examples.
