C26 Twenty six
"I struggled to open my eyes because of the light shining on my face. Even blinking was difficult, and I couldn't move my body. I scanned our room, and my eyes widened in surprise when I saw Samuel approaching me with a cup in hand.
"Oh, you're awake. Perfect timing, I just finished cooking this porridge," he said.
He placed a bowl of porridge with an egg on the side on the bedside table. Thank goodness!
I slowly sat up, and he helped me.
I smiled. "You didn't have to bother cooking," I said, feeling embarrassed.
He chuckled. "Come on! I just bought this from the corner store," he said with a laugh.
I rolled my eyes! I'll tell my sister about this!
Just to clarify, he's not my side guy, okay? He's my sister's boyfriend, and they've been together for almost three years, legally approved by both sides. I realized that maybe later, when I'm feeling better, I'll talk to my parents about me and Cyrus.
I managed to sit up properly. Cyrus, where are you? Where are you when I need you?
"Why did you go out in the rain? Your sister sent me here because you're alone. Don't you have a boyfriend? Poor thing,"
I glared at him angrily. He just smirked at me like a sissy! If I tell my sister about this, he's dead meat.
"I have a boyfriend," I said irritably, almost whispering.
"What?" he asked sarcastically.
"I have a boyfriend," I repeated.
"Care to share?" he teased.
I threw a pillow at him, struggling to move. Where on earth did my sister find him?
"I'll really tell my sister about you!" I said angrily.
He laughed, picked up the pillow, and tossed it back at me.
"What?" he asked again.
"I said I'll tell my sister about you!"
"Care to share?" he teased again.
I threw the pillow back at him.
"Are you even aware that I'm sick?" I asked irritably.
If earlier I could barely move, now it seems like I've come alive because of my annoyance towards my sister's boyfriend.
"Of course!" He said with a mischievous smile.
Well, Samuel is not far from my age, he's the same age as my sister, and three years older than me. We've become close because my sister always took me along on their dates when they weren't yet legal to visit each other's houses without permission from our parents! And now, this is how he repays me?
"Well, why do you keep asking me the same question? I'm having a hard time speaking and moving, and you're making fun of me," I yelled at him.
"Care to share?" he teased again.
"You jerk!"
"Thanks,"
I reluctantly handed him the cellphone, glaring at Samuel because I was annoyed by his face. All he does is smile deviously!

"Hey Sis! Out of all the people you know in this world, why did you leave me in the care of your boyfriend, whose mind is completely backwards? I won't die from my illness! I'll die from the excessive annoyance of your backward-minded boyfriend! Send him home, please, I'm annoyed, girl.
I turned to Samuel, who raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Pass me the porridge," I commanded.
"You have hands," he lazily replied.
"I know, but I can't move them," I said irritably and gestured towards the bowl of porridge.
He walked over to me and gently slapped my hand.
"Oh damn, I'm surprised it didn't move,"
He covered his mouth and widened his eyes as if pretending to be surprised.
Damn.
I glanced at my vibrating cellphone.

You're an idiot, you're all alone there, you have school and work, you're freeloading. Don't call my boyfriend backward-minded because I've known that for three years now. Get well soon, you idiot, or I'll flip your bed at home.
To: Relydeah lang malakas
Your mom is backward-minded.

"Oh, even if you report me to your sister and get annoyed with me, she won't fight with me, ha, she's just scared," He smirked and handed me the cup.
I rolled my eyes at him and gave him a disapproving look. "Really? Fine, just sa-"
"It's a prank," He cut me off.
I laughed as I picked up the spoon. "There's quite a lot of pepper," I complained.
"That's the pepper flavor," he said with a smirk. "You said you have a boyfriend, but where is he?" He asked with a puzzled expression.
He stood up straight and raised an eyebrow at me while crossing his arms in front of his chest. Even though Samuel has a twisted mind, he still cares about me, it's just not obvious.
I shrugged. "I don't know,"
"You don't know? Your boyfriend is not here by your side when you're sick? Your sister even made me skip work to babysit you," he said, shaking his head.
I just shrugged and didn't say anything.
"I'll watch TV in the living room for a bit, I can't stand looking at your face for too long, it's disgusting,"
"Yeah, go ahead, you're just annoying me with your backward mind,"
We immediately burst into laughter, and he gave me a playful glare before walking away. I glanced at my phone when there was a call on Messenger.
"Sis!" I called out to my sister as if I were going to tell on her.
["That damn face! Hey, don't call me 'sis' if you look like that? Damn, is that even a face?"]
"Wow, the foot-face is talking,"
[Excuse me?] she said, raising an eyebrow and rolling her eyes.
It seems like it's still their break time because I could see the canteen and a few gossiping girls peeking at the camera on the screen.
"Your boyfriend is in the living room watching. Aren't you going to send him home? His face is so annoying,"
